Don't try to understand me

Aria put a finger under her chin, "Umm, it'll probably be the fact that I can skip classes whenever I come here with minor injuries and Miss Anhao is fussing over me. And the thing I most like would be Miss Anhao's nagging."

Joseph shook his head, "I will never be able to understand you."

Aria smiled, "Don't try." She then jumped down from the bed and said, "What about heading for lunch?"

Joseph stood up dusted his pants, "These beds are too dirty."

Aria gave him a disappointed look, "Don't start moaning like a little prince now."

Joseph rolled his eyes, "I'm just not used to things like this."

Aria looked at him, "You know what I think? I think every kid from a rich family should be made to stay with a poor family for a few years. I think it'll be a nice experience."

Joseph mumbled in a small voice, "Easy for you to say. But once you know luxury, it is very difficult to give it up."

But Aria had caught it and said, looking out of the window, "Yeah. It's very easy for me to say."

Joseph was horrified as he said, "Oh my god!! I'm sorry Aria. I did not mean anything. It just.....I don't know why I said that."

Aria blinked and seemed confused as to why Joseph was apologizing. She said, "Why are you saying sorry? What I said was not a response to you. I just...was kind of talking to myself."

Joseph opened his mouth to argue, but his words never came out as at that exact moment, Professor Iris rushed in, her face worried, and behind her, two boys carrying someone who looked wounded. As Aria was wondering what this was about, there came in Jacob leading Helen by the hand, blood dripping out from his forehead and cheek.

Aria and Joseph looked at each other, shocked, for a minute before they rushed over to Professor Iris. But Professor Iris seemed very busy as she told one of the boys who were carrying the wounded boy to fetch Professor Thomas and called out to Miss Anhao.

Knowing that she probably couldn't get anything out of Professor, Aria walked over to Helen and Jacob and whispered, "What the hell happened?"

Helen's face was strained with tears and she was quietly sobbing, but as she heard Aria's voice, Helen immediately broke down and leaped towards Aria. As she was agitated, she did not aim perfectly and would have fallen if Aria had not caught her and had been steadied herself by Joseph.

Helen sobbed into Aria's shoulder, "It's all my fault. I.....I....."

Then she broke into sobs again.

As Aria was wondering what to do, Joseph leaped onto Jacob and punched him full in his already injured face. Jacob gave a cry of pain but gripped Joseph's collar and gave him a punch too.

Joseph took hold of Jacob's collar and shouted, "What did you do to my sister?"

Jacob shouted, "Your sister is crying and you're punching me instead of comforting her? What kind of a brother are you?"
