Blue's POV

I switched places with the girl to pull Lux under the tree. It's pretty hot, and it's afternoon, so the sun is blazing with anger right now. after several minutes of a wait, none pass by us.

Is it normal for this route to be this quiet? It seems pretty if you asked me.

"There's no one coming, so you wait while stopping he's wound to burst out another drop of blood, and I'll find a cleric or someone that can help us." She was about to leave, so I asked her something.

"By the way, what's your name, and why are you helping us?" I ask curiously.

"I'm Gina, and it's my fault for letting him interfere with that, but if I stopped him, I might get in trouble as well, so... It's thanks, I guess." She left and left me here without even giving her my feedback.

That's just unfair, you know. We have to heal Lux as quickly as possible, I'm concerned even though we just met last month, but I don't want to be alone again. I'll be stuck in the forest alone while surviving. I can take that anymore.

I could still see Gina walking from afar, and I looked beside her and noticed that someone was approaching this way. So I signaled at Gina, and she immediately looked at me. I gestured that someone was coming, so she waved at it, but it didn't even notice Gina and walked past her.

She runs back here. "That person didn't notice me." She said while panting.

I gave her my rope, and she looked at me with confusion. "Tie this rope at the end of the arrow and then shoot purse," I instructed her.

She immediately ties the rope, brings out her Longbow, and takes a stance. She sense which direction the wind will go. She stood there for several minutes and then fired.

I followed the arrow, and it hit directly in the purse. That's incredible. I didn't even see someone shoot from that distance. or it's just me.

"Now what?" She asked

"Grab the rope and pull it," I said to her, and she followed.

She chased the rope; when she grabbed Gina pulled it out as quickly as she could, and it didn't take long that the rider noticed it immediately turned back and chased the bag, but after a few seconds, Gina pulled the load.

The rider gets the lance and charges at her in a fast phase. Gina doesn't have time to dodge that. I let go of the clothe and blocked the lance using my two daggers because the momentum of that charge forced me to move backward until it was Gina, so we both tripped.

"How dare you steal someone's belongings." She said while pointing her lance at us.

I think she's a girl. Based on the tone of her voice, I'm sure that's a girl, I guess.

I raised my hands in fear of being stabbed that long lance she had. It's will surely kill me. Yeah, it's scary.

"We just need help because our companion right here is dying because of the stab wound he has," I said while crawling towards Lux to put pressure on this wound using my handkerchief.

"Ow! Is that so? You could have just waved at me instead of stealing my belongings, you know." She said, and then she put her weapons away.

"We just did... but you didn't even respond, and you just ride along like I was not there," Gina whispered to herself.

"You're lucky I have the supplies and... I also knew how to first aid." She walks towards her horse and gets her supplies. "So, where are you three heading out?"

"I have a quest to scout the Orc camp. There are rumors that the Orc will soon invade the town of Kirsten, and I can't let it happen," Gina said with pride and honor.

She sounds like a hero in some stories I have read.

"You sound like a Queen who wants to protect its land." She laughed before she switched place at me. "What's your name?" she asked while she was patching the wound of Lux.

"I'm Gina." She said with a cold tone.

"Interesting. How about you? What's your deal." She asked.

"We have a mission too, but it's a different one. I picked the more expensive pay of all." I looked at the paper. "To kill the Orc leader. I'll tell you a story. The receptionist keeps asking me if I'm sure I will do this quest. weird, right?"

"Done!" She stared at the paper I was holding. "Wait for a second... that's has a difficulty of A. Are you insane?" She asked.

"Difficulty of what?" I said while scratching my head. "I don't even know what you're talking about, hehe."

"The difficulty is based on a letter. the S one is for High tiers adventurer; A is for also high tiers adventurer, B for average adventurers, C and D are for beginners." Gina Explained.

"This first aide I did was all for nothing... You two will get killed anyway," she said with frustration.

Gina poked my head. "This has nothing inside of it, isn't it?" She said while poking my head.

I leaned back to avoid what she was doing. "Hey, that's just rude... I still have feelings, you know." I said with teary eyes.

"By the way, what's you're name?" She asked.

"I'm Blue, the cute and handsome one." I winked at them and received a punch on my face. "Ow... that hurts."

"I'm Gina." She said with a cold tone.

So cold. Truly heartless.

"I'm Jessica; nice to meet you both!" she stood up and looked at me. "Help me lift your friend here to lay down my horse so we can continue our expedition."

I followed her and carefully lifted Lux to sit on the horse. We joke around for a long time, we even play around with the unconscious Lux like a puppet, but Gina just watched us from a distance.

Jessica also offered her assistance because we can take that because we're not good to take that on that Orc leader. Jessica invited Gina, but she refused, but Jessica insisted, so she had no choice.

It's getting late. I stared at the skies, and it became dark, so we decided to camp out for the night to wash because our hands were covered in blood, and we could rest.

What a crazy day. Jessica searches for some water source while Gina finds something to eat, and I collect some firewood, start a fire, and make some leaf beds for a night.

Lex's POV

I woke up staring at a starry black sky. Am I dead or something? Because the only thing I remember is when I collapse, and I don't know why.

I stand up and take sit, but something hurts in my back. "That didn't hurt a little bit. 100% it didn't hurt." I lied to myself.

"So you're awake; I guess you can take a watch now." she immediately lay down on her leafy bed and closed her eyes.

"What's your name? and why are you here in the afterlife?" I asked.

"I'm Gina, and you're not dead, you dumb creature," she said while her eyes closed.

"ow... I see. Are you the one that I save in the afternoon? You look familiar." I asked.

"Yeah, I'm the one." She said.

"Why are you here then?" I asked her.

"I helped patching you up." She opened her eyes. "That's also thanks for saving me even though I didn't ask for it." and then she closed her eyes.

"ow..." I said while staring at the skies.

"I'll need to get a rest, so bye," she said with her sleepy voice.

"Ah... this sky is so beautiful, but the highlight of it is the stars," I said to myself.

"Yes indeed." She replied.

"I thought you were sleeping?" I asked curiously.

"I can't sleep, so can you entertain me for a bit?" She said, so I did.

I talked about how Blue and I met, and it's hilarious to think of it, being stuck with for nothing serious thing. Well, that's weird but at the same time fun. I also talked about constellations, how it works, that sort of thing.

I'm a fan of stars and galaxies. Sadly, I can't even use magic to recreate something like this starry night. I kept on talking until she fell asleep. I stared at her face and looked properly. She seems more docile when she's sleeping. She looked like an innocent baby of some sort.

I slapped myself. What am I thinking? If she can hear my thoughts right, she'll be weirded out of me. Luckily she can't, so I'm safe.

So tomorrow is the day, I guess. I'll be putting in a lot of work tomorrow, time to sharpen my blade.

To be continued...
