Kai's Secret

After King Cedric and Kai left for the private chamber, Luna, Rin, and Eiera were left with Aiden.

Luna flew over to Eiera's shoulder, and Eiera whispered, "You need to go with Kai." Her voice was so low that Aiden couldn't hear her.

Luna responded, "How can I go? When he is watching us." Luan pointed towards Aiden.

Eiera acknowledged Aiden's presence and whispered, "We'll distract him."

As Eiera spoke, she nudged Rin's feet, getting her attention. Rin looked at Eiera, who pointed subtly towards Aiden with her eyes. Rin immediately understood the task at hand.

Aiden's suspicion simmered, "What's going on there?"

Rin quickly replied, "Nothing. I wanted to know how big your castle is." She spoke with a casual tone.

Aiden responded, "Is that so? If you really want to know, this castle is well over 465,000 square feet. This is the second biggest castle in my father's kingdom."

"Really! It's this Big!" Rin feigned with surprise and curiosity. "So, how big is the biggest one, then?"

As Rin successfully diverted Aiden's attention, Eiera murmured softly, "Ethereal Shroud!" She cast a spell on Luna, making her invisible.

Invisible Luna, as she exits the room, she sees a shocking sight. She saw hundreds of armored soldiers guarding the exit, preventing anyone from leaving the room and ready to attack whenever.

Hurriedly, Luna flew out to find Kai, checking every single door she saw. Suddenly, her gaze locked on a closed door. Luna tried to open the door, but her effort was meaningless the door was locked from the inside. Luna didn't move on with her search. She started to eavesdrop through the door, trying to hear any voice from inside the room. 

Luna caught King Cedric's voice saying. "You are wasting the potential of the Eternal Blade."

Inside the chamber, King Cedric and Kai sat facing each other. "I know everything about you, Kai," King Cedric began, his tone contemplative. "The man who cannot be harmed. The man who cannot be Killed. These are your nicknames, right."

King Cedric said, "You're just a phony. Everyone thinks you're some kind of immortal, that their spells don't work on you, but you hid the truth from everyone. The truth is that you don't have any magical abilities. You can't even cast the simplest of spells."

"But your disadvantage comes with an advantage. Since you can't use magic, no one else's magic works on you, making you immune to any type of magic in the entire astra." King Cedric said.

Behind the door, Luna's eyes widened as she heard King's Cedric words. She wondered in her mind, "How does he know about Kai so much."

Kai smiled beneath his mask, his voice calm and confident. "Great job, you know so much about me. I wonder how much time and effort a King had to put just to know about me. I'm honored."

Kai leaned in closer to King Cedric as he whispered, "Let me tell you a little secret. I never told anyone I'm immortal everyone just assumed I'm immortal cause they're afraid to face me."

"I don't even understand how the blade has chosen someone like you," King Cedric said.

Kai replied calmly, "The Blade didn't choose me, I chose the Blade."

Kai said, "It's all clear now. You purposely didn't send any help to the villagers yesterday because, because you knew everything about me, you were aware that I would come to your kingdom. You also knew villagers would stop me from leaving because it was your son's birthday. After Celebration, the first thing you did is send your son after me and made me come to your castle." 

"It was all your plan. You want me to do something that only I can do," Kai stated.

King Cedric responded, "Every word you speak is true. It was me. I was waiting for an opportunity to call you in my kingdom."

"The rogues, were they part of your plan to," Kai inquired.

King Cedric responded, "No, they were some normal rogues. who acted as a sacrificial lamb for my plan. What do you think wasn't my plan incredible."

Kai said, "Indeed, your plan was amazing. So, tell me, what do you want me to do?" Kai inquired; his voice filled with curiosity.

"I want you to go on a journey and retrieve Eclipse Arcana." King Cedric stated.

Luna's eyes widened in shock as she heard the name Eclipse Arcana.
