CHAPTER FIVE : THE REAL EVIL (5)

Her black eyes focused on the sight of a pale human in front of the table. Her long nails kept growing as she was sure, that the creature looking and standing in front of them was a human. Larissa Drown, the representative of the dark elf is folding her hands while glaring at the so-called human. When she thinks again, she just looks around and tries to find the little lord.

Unfortunately, the little lord is nowhere to be seen. She pouted. The human, Theoris is standing up. He is greeting someone. Another human! She wanted to scream and warn the man but she held back. The name of the woman who once stood by her side flashed in her mind.

'Lady Santhiana.' The same emerald green eyes. It's warm and draws in people as she always does. All of sudden, she feels cold air on her back. The young man glanced in her direction.

'Wrong.' It's cold. Colder than winter in the north. It's not like the lady's eyes. It's not naive or cheerful. It is dark and frozen. Larissa unconsciously bows her head and breaks eye contact. He read the book of records by the demon lord but the image of Liam in the text and the image of the young man are different! She blamed the demon lord a little.

Larissa strengthened her heart and nodded to herself. She needs to be prepared and fight to get this person's acknowledgment.

Meanwhile, Liam is busy looking at and judging the people around him. Especially toward the black eyes dark elves. The dark fairies are hiding behind her. She should be the representative. Liam walks and stands by his side.

"You read the book?" Theoris looked more excited than usual. Wearing a black cardigan and white shirt, he approaches Liam. The man named Liam just looked with blank eyes, holding back his temper. He smiles so sweetly, dripping with venom.

The hall becomes silent. Most of the aides were well aware of the fact that Liam would terrorize their Lord daily. Under these circumstances, they choose to keep their mouth shut.

"..." Liam just glances around and looks towards the guests. The orcs were late. As long as he can ignore the chattering man, he should be able to instill his dignified aura and charisma.

Ignoring the impending doom, Theoris asked with a serious voice." I have no reason to dislike it. I hate humans because of your mother. The goddess abandoned her. It's correct, just a little too poetic to my liking though."

"I don't mean that. Are you aware of the scandals that arise between us?" Liam rubbed his forehead. This man's obsession with his mother is on another level.

"Ah, if I focused on your eyes and imagined you as a flat-chested girl, it should be fine. I'm just a few years older than you, right? Our age difference should be around five to six years." Once again, his calm and serious tone somehow makes Liam uncomfortable. Even so, his anger that was barely contained still slipped into the surrounding area.

The meeting room temperature dropped nearly fifteen degrees. Theoris coughs and moves out while offering his chair to Liam. Liam sits and looks at the guest. Blue, dark blue short hair is looking at him.

Most of the dark elves were archers. They have short hair that allows them to easily draw the bow and arrow. Some of them worked on their agility and focused on assassinations.

A loud bang can be heard. They are depicted as ugly and filthy, with madness and a crazy craving for the taste of human flesh. They are fanged, bow-legged, and long-armed. At least, some of the records do write like that. People depicted orcs as cannon fodder the best. Unfortunately, they were wrong.

Orcs hold the true definition of a devourer. They were led by the chief orcs and the vice chief. Most of the populations of the dark creatures were orcs and goblins. Liam fought against them.

Heion can easily slash them in half and Traine can just blast them with magic. It was he who contributed the most to the Orc subjugation request. It's a war. Not a normal party one-to-one fight with enemies like them. Orcs usually live in tribes in a small population in separate areas.

'Monarch aura' The Natural core of this ability is domination. Most people believe the fact that Liam is useless because of his long casting time. They were once again wrong. Monarch aura will shine the most in war.

His ability to put pressure on their opponent is scary. If he can be focused on using it, he can even order someone to take their own life. Using the monarch aura, Liam manages to control the majority of the orcs to stay still. The higher the rank of the orc, the harder it is for him to get control of the population after all.

Liam sighed and addressed the messenger to come in. Larissa tilted her head. She thought the meeting should be about the 'illusion of water' in the black garden. The fact that the disgusting brute creatures sitting beside her makes her nauseous. She thought she would meet with vampires, and sirens even better. Does she somehow need to deal with this?

"I'm the great orcs messenger, Noir. Ranked 23rd as the strongest of Farlon tribesmen. I shall not kneel to those who are weaker than me." Ah, those moronic, proud, and arrogant proclamations again. Larissa clicked her tongue.

"Ah, and you! Pointy ears!" Noir somehow managed to mock the entire dark elves' races the moment he stepped in. Larissa gets hold of her bow, standing while pulling the arrows while Noir is waiting for the attack with a large axe. A sudden cough grabs their attention. Liam was watching both of them with cold eyes. Both of them realized there were just three of them left in the meeting room.

The area seems isolated. Fallen bits of snow hit his head. Liam looks back and meets with the sight of a man in his mid-twenties walking towards them. Without any questions. He kneels before him and gives that person the utmost respect. Claude always maintained his childlike form, some think that he is a prince. No. He just having fun playing as a kid. The one who understands it the most is Liam.

He can joke around a child-like Claude but he can never stand against the real Claude. It's just not yet. Larissa and Noir kneel as well. Claude nodded in satisfaction and took his seat.

Using his natural, hard voice, Claude opens his mouth. "Tell me, Liam. What is it you wish to say? I'm not a fan of a bunch of mutts and disgusting pests entering my palace as they please."

Liam took a deep breath. "I proposed a beneficial cooperation between these two species, Your Majesty."

Seeing the fact that Claude is letting him talk, Liam continues his word. "The Farlon tribesman is located in the west forest mountain. We were aware of the fact that you were planning to attack the village near the mountain foot soon. I was proposing a deal. Without the interference of the hero party, The tribesman will take control of the village. To do that, the hero quest and the attack should be done at the same time."

"Why? As the proud tribesman, we can..." Noir tries to cut his word.

"You will die. Even without me with them at their party, Callisto will think of recruiting another member. The only person that I can think of now is Malken, the engineer. You will be slaughtered just like other tribes." Malken can create artificial storms and natural disasters.

Luckily Liam has no intention of letting that person replace him. An alcoholic and sex maniac. Knowing his location will be easier with the help from Theoris after all. Even so, he just has to be prepared to avoid the worst-case scenario. He will be joining the dark elves after all.

So, for that immediate reason, Liam chooses to have the dark elves as his representative in the tribe. The cooperation between the two tribes will be able to forge a new system of creating and organizing an army under the demon lord's command. The person who will be able to deliver information under the night sky within the forest. The dark elves race. They will become a great asset to an intelligence organization.

"I wish to make a separate organization that focuses on information gathering. The most suitable person for this is people from the dark elves race." Larissa just nodded and bowed her head. Noir just listening. He can't stand against the demon lord's will after all. He will trust the words of this human for the time being.

"Ah, I see. You're trying to find a way to make these bunch of pests useful." Claude nodded his head in understanding. "What about the black garden?"

Liam just smirked and laughed silently. "Why don't you wait and see yourself, Your Majesty?"

Liam is lying on his bed while putting the book on his face. He is thinking of something. Liam, the apostle of the end does not need anyone near his side. It's a different story with Liam Ascante. What he wished for was to be happy with the people he cherished. When hunting for Malken, he will find his nanny and some of the palace workers who used to serve him. He will transfer them to a safer place.

Liam might be a heartless being but, Liam Ascante is still a human.
