Clash of Legends

Hey guys so I went back and reread chapter one and I realized I made a mistake.....I forgot to add his name so his name is going to be Tatsumi Shin....but everyone will call Shin. Anyways enjoy!

The sun had barely risen, and I was already dodging responsibility. The moment Nanao entered Division 8 with her arms full of paperwork, I knew I needed an escape plan. She was a walking storm of duty, while I was perfectly content basking in the art of dong absolutely nothing

"Shin, you've neglected these reports for a week!" she scolded, slamming the stack onto my desk. "You're suppose to be the Vice-Captain!"

I waved her off, leaning back in my chair with a groan. "Too tired," I muttered lazily.

"You're unbelievable," she snapped. Her glare was sharp enough to cut steel, but I shrugged it off.

The second she turned her back, I slipped out like a shadow, making my way to my usual hideout: the secluded training grounds.

Once there, I went into my mindscape, allowing the world around me to fade away as I entered a realm of boundless potential. Takemikazuchi's presence was immediate, his voice a steady hum of disapproval.

"Skipping work again, Shin?" he chided.

"Don't start," I replied. Drawing my Zanpakutō, I steadied myself. "We've got training to do."

Before I could make a move, the Ethereal Interface buzzed to life.

[System Notification]:

Challenge Initiated: Defeat Prime Whitebeard (Edward Newgate) within 7 days.

Reward: Mastery of Advanced Observation Haki, enhanced spiritual pressure control, and an upgrade to Takemikazuchi's Shikai.

Penalty: Reduced Growth Rate (x0.5) for 30 days.

The reward list alone made my heart race. But there was no time to dwell. As soon as I hit "Accept," the air around me changed.

The ground beneath me trembled, and a towering figure stepped forward. Whitebeard in his prime—his presence like a mountain looming over the battlefield. His muscles ripped with power, and the iconic bisento rested easily in his hands.

"You're a lively one," he said, his voice carrying an unshakable authority.

My grip tightened on Takemikazuchi. "Lively enough to take you down."

Without warning, Whitebeard moved, the sheer force of his charge splitting the ground as his bisento came crashing down. I dodged, barely feeling the shockwave ripple through my body.

Our weapons clashed, sparks flying as I poured everything into each strike. But Whitebeard was relentless, his blows carrying a weight that felt impossible to counter.

"You'll need more than that," he said, grinning as his fist ignited with the power of the Gura Gura no Mi.

Before I could react, the air itself shattered, the force hurling me across the battlefield. I hit the ground hard, gasping for air as I struggled to stand.

Get up, boy," Takemikazuchi's voice boomed in my mind. "This is no time for weakness."

I wiped the blood from my mouth, forcing myself to my feet. My spiritual pressure surged as I activated my Shikai. The blade in my hand glowed with a fierce energy, and lightning arced around me.

Whitebeard's grin widened. "Now we're talking."

I lunged forward, pushing everything I had into the fight. The storm in my mindscape raged on, mirroring the clash of titans. Blow after blow, we tested each other's limits, and for a moment, I felt as though I was holding my own.

But it didn't last.

Whitebeard's next strike shattered my guard, and before I could recover, his Gura Gura no Mi activated again. The sheer force of his quake engulfed me, my vision going white as the world around me crumbled.

When I came to, I was back in the real world, lying on the tatami mat of my room. My body ached, my mind reeling from the experience.

The system's notification chimed softly:

Battle Progress: 0.01% Completion.

"That's new," I muttered, dragging myself to my feet.

Takemikazuchi's voice echoed faintly in my mind. "You've got six more days to figure it out. Don't waste them."

I cracked my knuckles, a grin forming despite the pain. "Guess I better get back to work."

Hey guys I hope you enjoy this chapter. If you did enjoy it please leave power stones. With that being said Good morning, good evening, and good night bye :D.
