DXD: The Game of Dragons

What does it mean to be a Dragonlord? “Some claim It means being the best, leading the world, making the people of the world live and die for you, protecting the world and the innocent from harm, and fighting for justice and peace.” At the same time, others are eager to inform you of its negative aspects. That it makes your skin crawl and your stomach turn. “Many Dragon Lords are tyrants. Some even refer to them as demons because they are a race of beings born from a mix of Dragon and human blood. These wise and powerful beings who have dominion over the beasts and wield enormous magical powers, which they use for evil and conquest” But the answer is simple; “It means to be the best, it means to rule the world, to make the people of the world live and die for you, it means to protect the world and also crush any opposition, it means to conquer the land and the sea.” What is justice? When could you make your own laws and decide how you wish to run things? Or is justice to serve the whims of another and to do whatever they ask of you, regardless of the outcome? So how does a broken boy, with no friends and no one who loved him, fit in all of this? Kaida Fukumoto is now on his path to becoming a King. But not in the sense of being the leader of a country or kingdom, but in the sense of being a Ruler. His role is one that has yet to be defined, but he has been called upon to become one. This is his destiny, and this is the path he must walk. He has no other choice. But for now, he can only see his way forward. For now, he must learn the ropes of this world he was reincarnated in. God Of Dragons?

Looking around, everything looked ambiance with a red sky like blood was bleeding from above. It had been raining for several hours now—a heavy rain that didn't let up even after it started pouring down. The red clouds were so heavy they covered most of the morning sky, blocking out all light except for occasional flashes of lightning far off on the horizon.

Thunder boomed every few minutes, shaking the ground beneath. Yet no lightning was striking, as the termor was caused by massive dragons roaring fire at each other across the skies. As if these massive beasts weren't enough, a sleeping dragon so large it could be mistaken for another mountain itself lay before.

"... Those dragons... are almost ignoring you out of fear." It was an impossible job to impress someone who served the Queen, yet ever since she had met Kaida—she felt not only compelled to do just that but couldn't stop her jaw from dropping from time to time.

"Yeah. Too bad they are all dead and just husks. If only they are alive..." Kaida said in a nonchalant manner. If only they were alive, he could have had an army of dragons marching over the Lands Between.

Turning his head over the sleeping down, who for some reason didn't it's head away from him since his arrival here. Kaida had never even seen its face before, he would always go to its tail which is on the other end of the land from its size. He would use a bleed, and just nob away the hp, yet now for some reason, his heart palpitated.

"Strong Whelp from outside the fog..."

Kaida's eyes widened, hearing a booming voice from the dragon. For a second, he thought of just rushing towards the dragon and ending its life for fear of its power. After all, its size is 100 meters with a wingspan of 300 meters, a rough guess he had made.

"Thou has the blood of dragon inside of thee. I see thy destiny is to rule the lands; destined to become an Elden lord," The Dragon spoke with its raspy voice, causing tremors across his heart. Even Azalea had to calm her breath seeing its majesty.

"Yet, thou has not bathed in the lightning of the Dragon God. Thou hast the strength of the dragon, but without the blessing of the Dragon God. How canst thou take the throne of the Dragons?"

"This blessing... Where can I find this?" Kaida asked. He knew there was the 'God of Dragons,' an outer god, who left the world, causing the fall of dragons.

"The beginning of everything, yet it is the end of everywhere,

Endless and eternal, it marches on without fail.

It marks the beginning and the end, a never-ending tale.

It's the final destination, but one we cannot see.

For all living things, it's the ultimate gate.

Some fear it, others embrace, but all must eventually face it.

It's the end of all things..." Suddenly the words came to a stop, as the head dropped onto the ground, as the dragon drew its last breath, and its body began to change. A blue mist rose from the corpse until it vanished like smoke. There was nothing left behind; no bones or anything else—it seemed like the whole thing hadn't existed at all. But it did leave him with something, "...an eternal dance towards the End of Time."

"..." Kaida stood there staring at where the dragon once laid, all his mind say was just 'Woah!'

'So to bath in lightning, I have to go to Cumbling Farum Azula?' Kaida wondered. He had learned in the lore videoes that Crumbling Farum Azula exists outside of time, and most players believe that it used to be the capital of dragons when they ruled over the Lands Between. It is where the First Elden Lord, Dragonlord Placidusax, stays.

Shaking his head, he confused his attention to the runes it had dropped. Not only he had equipped the Golden Scarab, but he had also eaten the Golden Pickle Foot, increasing the number of runes he could get.

Radagon's Sorseal, he found at Fort Faroth, the Sacred Sorpian Chram; he got when Cleanrot Knights trashed the invader Anathesia, and finally, a talisman pouch was Rewarded by Finger Reader Enia in Roundtable Hold. But Kaida felt frustrated at his snail pace leveling.

"That's it," Kaida said with a scowl. During the month he had spent last time, he raised from 56 to 76, but now leveling became extremely hard.

"Azalea, I give you Doyle and Spear Cleanrot Knight. I want you to roam around the Third Church of Marika to gather as many runes as you can. We will meet there every three moons from now. Like we agree, 30% to you and the rest to me."

Though Azalea can't use the runes to strengthen herself, she does use them for merchants. It was the deal they agreed, whenever Azalea assisted him with something, she would take 30%. It wasn't a bad trade, as she is a master tactician and an assassin; using his servants, she can gather a lot of runes.

"Okay, but are you heading to Raya Lucaria?"

"Yes," Kaida answered.

"Then you should be careful. I have heard the queen though lost her mind, is once a formidable foe who even defeated Lord Radagon during the war."

Kadia smiled; though he didn't have her full loyalty, he showed her more than enough to make her think it was inevitable that he would become the Elden Ring. After all, with no Death, only time was his obstacle. But he had already thought of a way to become stupidly powerful. With Dany's help of his dragon's powers, soon he would fly through the cloud with nothing blocking him.

'Though I am currently overpowered for someone who was still in the early game.'

Kaida only killed two main bosses, who are Margit and Godrick. He knew once he got towards the Lendyall Captial, the game difficulty would spike. He still remembered how he had cheated to get his vigor to 99 in the game, yet Godrick was only to kill him with only 3-4 strikes.

'Patience... On the path of becoming OP, one needs patience and exploits!'

Kaida squinted his eyes as he glanced at the waste bag behind him. At first, he gave her a chance to prove, and it's been more than enough chances already, yet she proved nothing. At last, he had one hope of turning his first servant useful. If that failed, hell with the sentiment, he would throw her away.

"Narcissa, come here."
