Ch12: Sun breathing

"I was wondering about something... how many people you challenged with the similar manner that you challenged me?"

"Only one."

"I see. And how strong were they compared to me?"

"I don't have any idea about it because during our fight he didn't even use any techniques and only relied on swordsmanship."

'So he had to be someone highly skilled, so he probably defeated him by using other means than sword.' Yami thought to himself.

He then smirked 'Good to know he isn't against using underhanded methods.'

"Can you also summon him like me?"

Stopping his agonizing training Kaiser pondered about it for a moment "I can give it a try."

"Go ahead then." Yami said and simply waited for the arrival of the person Kaiser talked about.

Soon, particles began to gather and out of them a man with noticeable features appeared.

before anyone could say or do anything, Kaiser stood in front of the new figure and bowed his head as if he was ashamed of something he did.

"I'm sorry for cutting your arm."

Yami looked at the man and then thought about what Kaiser said before bursting into a stream of laughter.

"Lost your arm to a kid? BAHAHAA"

Kaiser sweat dropped at Yami's reaction and was worried to see how Yoriichi would react to it, only to hear a soft chuckle from the said person.

"Indeed, I was also amazed at this boy's strength at such a young age. Now mind telling me why did you do that?"

"About that... It's better that I explain it from the start."

Kaiser then began to explain the same thing he did to yami.

After taking in the new information, Yoriichi nodded his head "I see. At first when you attacked me I thought that you were a demon, but you didn't look like one nor did you smell or feel like one. Which is why I was confused about why a young boy would attack me for no reason."

"Humans don't fight against each other in your world?" Yami asked, being somewhat interested in another world's history.

"We fight against men eating demons, so there's not much time for people to fight against each other. Although rarely sometimes fights might break out. What about yours?"

"Unlike yours, humans do fight against each other in my world for different reasons."

"It's sad to see people fight against each other instead of uniting together in a world like yours that doesn't have demons."

"About that, we have devils, elves, and many more life forms than you can think of."

"So even with all of that people still fight together?" Yoriichi clenched his fists, but then released them. "It is your world, and even if I do feel bad about it, I won't judge it."

"Same with me, but I do want to fight against one of those demons to see how strong they are." Yami remarked

Yoriichi then looked at Kaiser "If I'm not wrong, you want to learn my breathing technique?"

"Yes, if you don't have a problem with it."

"Quite the opposite, I have already taught my breathing technique to many people. Although they had made their own as they couldn't use mine."

"Breathing Styles are swordsmanship styles that make use of an esoteric breathing technique known as Total Concentration Breathing. So to use a breathing style you first need to learn Total concentration breathing. Breathing Styles mimic a certain element of nature and replicate it with the user's movements, techniques and abilities."

"Now let's start with the first step, total concentration breathing. This technique involves expanding one's lungs to intake as much air as possible, accelerating one's blood flow and heartbeat while increasing their inner body temperature, resulting in their bones and muscles becoming more excited."

"You mean simply by breathing one can get stronger?" Kaiser inquired.

"Yes. With enough training you certainly achieve it."

"Interesting." Yami mumbled.

"So what do I do now? Breathe?"

Yoriichi smiled "For now we should focus on expanding your lungs intake of air."

"Can't you show me all your breath g style form instead?"

"There's no use in doing that if you don't know the basics."

"I reckon he can learn it just by watching you." Yami said confidently.

Yoriichi pondered about it for a moment "Fine. I do hope you can learn it like that."

Yoriichi then began to use each of the Sun breathing style forms, the way he moved seemed as if he was dancing elegantly with his sword.

Kaiser observed each form and every movement closely intending to learn as much as he could.

After performing twelve different forms, Yoriichi stopped for a second "Sun breathing has thirteen forms. As you saw I performed twelve of them."

"What about the last one?"

"The last one involves using all the other twelve forms in repetitive succession to increase the accuracy and agility of the movements and attacks. I originally made it in order to slay one of the strongest demons."

"I see. Yami how do you think you would fair against him?"

"His sportsmanship is top notch and can give me a challenge but, I can still easily block each of those moves he performed with dark magic."

'Right there's also that mana skin he had which probably can stop Yoriichi's attacks.' Kaiser thought and got an idea.

"Can you use the thirteenth form against Yami? I think I might be able to get a better grasp on it if I see it in a real fight." kaiser proposed, waiting for Yoriichi's answer.

Yoriichi looked at Yami and then shrugged "Sure."

Both of them then drew their swords out and prepared to engage in a heated battle against each other.

Observing them, Kaiser saw that Yami had already used mana skin and moved first to strike Yoriichi.

Taking a deep breath, Yoriichi also began to move and started executing the thirteenth form, starting from the first form.

As the swords of two master swordsmen clashed against each other, Kaiser couldn't help but get excited at seeing a fight at such a level.

Yoriichi's movements were fast and fluid. if anyone other than Yami was on the receiving side, they would have already been slayed by him.

Meanwhile, Yami was enjoying the fight. It's been a while since he had fought against an opponent that in terms of skills, posed a challenge to him.

After a while both fighters stopped their fight. Yoriichi smiled lightly "it's my loss. I didn't manage to make you use one of those spells that Kaiser told me about."

Yami laughed loudly "I hope you didn't feel offended by it, I didn't use them because I was enjoying our fight thoroughly." he then glanced at Kaiser "Oi brat, did you learn it or not?"

"I think I can replicate it."

"Good good. Go on, show me and surpass your limits."

Taking a deep breath, Kaiser began to move and mimic each one of Yoriichi's moves as close as possible to the original.

As Kaiser was copying the moves, Yoriichi was awestruck at what he saw.

Yami noticed his awe and smirked while lighting a cigarette "I told you didn't I? That brat's talent in copying and observing others is top notch."

"It's not the sword movement that he copied that made me awestruck, it's the fact that he also observed the rhythm of my breathing and is also copying that too."

"Ho? So he also managed to copy that? He would have made a good addition to my squad if he was in my world."

"I can see why you are saying that, he also would have been a great help to the demon slayer corps."

"You guys call your organization the demon slayer corps?"

"Yes is there a problem with it?"

"Not really, the name is pretty much straightforward." Yami said while watching Kaiser.

After Kaiser finished performing all the thirteen forms, he looked at Yoriichi as if he was waiting for praise.

Yoriichibonce again smiled softly "Good job. You almost copied all of the forms to perfection. But It still has room for improvement."

Kaiser nodded his head and muttered thanks, he then looked at Yami to know his opinion too.

Yami threw his cigarette on the ground and stepped on it to turn it off. He then took out his sword "Best way to know if you learned something or not as to use it in a spar."

Knowing what Yami was suggesting Kaiser sighed tiredly "Bring it on."

Then in a matter of seconds he had vanished from his location and was clashing his sword against Yami.

During the spar, even though Yami had restrained his own strength, Kaiser was still overpowered by him.

Each times their swords met each other, a pressure would be sent through his arms, making controlling his breathing and movement harder than it was before.

Even then, he still hadn't grassed on the essence of the Sun breathing nor did he hear anything from the system, telling him that he had managed to gain a new skill.

That's when he remembered a key information about the skill he had gotten recently, The demon slayer mark.

When activated, it would raise the temperature of the body, making the person who used it feel as if they are burning alive. In return, the persons physical stats would be raised to another level.

But what kaiser was after wasn't the boost in stats, but the downside of the skill that raised his body temperature.

Sun has the capability to burn anything that comes in contact with it or even gets close to it. So if he wanted to mimic that effect, he needed to feel the sensation of being burned alive, to transfer that feeling into his sword and finally unleash it upon his opponent.

With that thought process, the thing that could push him close to that feeling was the flaw that the demon slayer mark had.

And to make sure that the heat was enough, he also began to manipulate the mana in his surroundings and turn them into mana particles with fire affinity, absorbing them all in his body and increasing the temperature of his body as much as he could.

Then without wasting anymore time, he activated the demon slayer mark.

A dark red mark in the shape of a burning spider lily appeared on his left hand, and Kaiser felt the rush of new strength through his body.

But that wasn't all, he could feel that his heart was pumping and faster than it did during his whole life. The heat that was generated thanks to manipulating the mana and the activation of the mark, was agonizing.

The heat only was increasing as the time went on and He could feel that each organ in his body was screaming from the pain of being burnt and could melt at any second.

Yoriichi narrowed his eyes when he saw the mark that appeared on Kaiser's hand.

The pain momentarily stopped Kaiser from moving, but he then clenched his teeth together and attacked Yami again while imitating the Sun breathing form.

Alas his hard work and risk had paid off and he had finally managed to pull off one of the forms successfully.

Instead of all of Kaiser's movements that were slashes, this one was a powerful thrust.

He had thrust to his sword forward focusing all the power in his body on the tip of the sword, to penetrate Yami's defence.

To make the thrust even more stronger, he had poured a large sum of his mana into his sword.

Sun breathing Seventh form:Sunflower Thrust

The tip of his sword met the opening left by Yami on purpose and penetrated the mana skin, moving forward and stabbing his stomach.

Kaiser quickly took out the blade and sat on the ground with a smile on his face. Feeling good about what he had accomplished.

The Gap in Yami's stomach also closed and healed thanks to the training room effect.

Yami put a hand on Kaiser's shoulder "You did a good job brat, you can rest now."
