"Alright you have to be honest with me now Lilith. It has been some time now." Zadkiel said seriously as he scrutinized Lilith.
Said girl just turned away from him as she went and layed on the bed. Zadkiel frowned when he saw her behaviour. It has already been two whole weeks since the trial. After it Lilith was confined to a cell in the second heaven, it is Zadkiel's job to deliver her food. But unlike the past Lilith never made eye contact with him and just tried to stay away.
Of course Zadkiel wasn't just going to be satisfied with that. Everytime he tried to talk to Lilith she would just keep her mouth shut and avoid his gaze. This has been going on for two whole weeks and now he has had enough.
'I never thought that Lilith would be so stubborn.' Zadkiel thought to himself.
He just stood there and looked at her not moving. Lilith felt his gaze on her and tried to ignore it but she wasn't able to. Then she heard footsteps approaching her which caused her to close her eyes. She felt his presence behind her and hoped that he would go away.
But then she felt something on top of her head. She realised that it is his hand which was on top of her head and it was rubbing her head. It reminded her of when Zadkiel would rub her heads when she cuddled with him.
"Lilith, tell me, why did you do it?" Zadkiel asked in a kind tone.
Lilith heard his voice and couldn't stop the tears from falling from her eyes. Zadkiel saw this and smiled slightly as it signified that she is guilty about what she did. He then used his right hand and grabbed ahold of her left arm. This action surprised her before she was gently pulled up by Zadkiel.
She was then turned around by him as she saw him. Zadkiel was looking at her with a kind face while the girl herself has a shocked look with tears going down her cheeks. Zadkiel saw her tears and used his hands to remove it. Then he hugged her as her head was on his chest.
"Tell me Lilith, why did you do it? I won't be angry with you." Zadkiel said calmly as he rubbed her back.
He had also put a sound barrier in the room so that no one could hear the conversation. Lilith meanwhile felt more tears flow down her cheeks as she felt his warmth. This was torture for her, to see him everyday but not talk to him. But with him now standing in front of her like this caused the resolve to break.
"I-I wanted to be with you." Lilith said in a shaky tone.
"But I am with you everyday." Zadkiel said though he knew full well that she wasn't meaning the platonic kind.
"N-No, I meant as a wife." Lilith weakly said.
"But you're Adam's wife remember." Zadkiel said as he rubbed her back.
"But, I don't love him as much as you do. But, I-I couldn't be with you. Since I'm supposed to be Adam's wife." Lilith said to him.
"Is that why you did it?" Zadkiel asked her as he listened to her seriously.
He knew that she liked him very much but due to how she treated him and the angels he didn't think it would be this much. He himself has seen Lilith as a little sister.
"Y-Yes. I thought that if I were to do it with you I could be with you forever. I now see that I only brought problems for brother. And even though you were always so nice to me." Lilith said before she started to cry as she hugged him.
Zadkiel just rubbed her head affectionately with a smile. He waited and after a few moments her crying lessened and she was now sobbing. His dress was drenched but not something he could change with his magic as he made it dry instantly. The both of then stayed like that for sometime before Lilith hesitantly looked at him with puffy eyes only to be met with kind ones.
"I told you, I won't be angry with you." Zadkiel said with a kind smile.
"Y-You don't hate me?" Lilith asked timidly.
"No I don't. You made a mistake, and you are being punished for it. So why should I be angry at you." Zadkiel said to her with a smile.
"Big brother." Lilith said as her eyes watered more.
"But I must know Lilith. Who told you that it would work and how did you put me to sleep?" Zadkiel asked him sister.
"Ah, it's, it's,..." Lilith said as she hesitated.
Zadkiel knew that Lilith wouldn't think of something like that so someone must've put the idea in her head. He also knew that someone must've given her someone which caused him to fall asleep. Cause he is very sure that he would've woken up if Lilith was doing something like that with him.
"Lilith, my sweet little sister. Tell me, who is it?" Zadkiel asked her.
Lilith stilled when she heard him call her his sweet little sister. That was something he would call her with affection and to show how much he loved her. It has a special place in her so it had a great impact on her.
"I-It was a snake." Lilith said to him after a few seconds.
"A snake? What kind of snake?" Zadkiel asked curiously.
"I don't know. But that snake told me that if I were to do it with you then I will be able to marry you and live with you as your wife forever. He was the one who gave me then Apple which caused you to fall asleep." Lilith said to him.
Zadkiel narrowed his eyes when he heard her. This was the first time he has heard of a snake like that in the garden of Eden. While he is an angel he is also very cautious and placed many magical safety spells on him to help him if he were to become trapped in a spell or come under its effects. For it to affect him would mean that the one who used it was quite skilled.
He then turned his attention to his sister and smiled warmly at her. She watched with wide eyes as he sat beside her before hugging her. She felt his warmth and then slowly wrapped her arms around him and hugged him as she buried her face into his chest. Zadkiel just rubbed her back as he smiled softly.
But his gaze hardened as he went through the information he got from her and he had an inkling as to who it is.
'While there are many angels in Heaven there are only a select few who are able to create spells like this. And snake's don't do something like this to either Adam or Lilith. So a fairly powerful angel is the only ones able to do this. I already have someone in mind but there is also someone else.' Zadkiel thought to himself as he went through the information.
He then came to the answer as he hugged Lilith a bit tighter.
'Samael, Venom of God and his arbiter. He is the one who is most proficient in using Snake transformation. It is just speculation but I will confront him about him. And if I'm not mistaken then I also know the one who wants to make me a convict.' Zadkiel thought to himself as he rubbed his sisters back.
Lilith hugged him with strong arms as she refused to let go of him. Zadkiel just smiled and rubbed the head of his sister as he gained a determined gaze.
'It seems the War of Heaven is coming near.' Zadkiel thought to himself.
*At the Greek Region*
Kronos was sitting in his throne as he had a huge grin on his face. His prized scythe at his side as he focused his attention on the Titan in front of him.
"My king, we have got the information as ordered." The Titan said to him.
"Yes, this will work nicely. I can't wait for my new conquest." Kronos said happily.
"But I must ask my king. Is it really wise to go after a being who is a primordial?" The Titan asked him.
"Hmph, a God who is unable to create a new God is without a doubt weaker than the primordial God's. His so called Angels won't stand a chance against us." Kronos said with a victorious laugh as it resounded through the throne room.
'Heaven will be mine. All the other pantheons shall know my name.' Kronos thought to himself as he has a smirk on his face.
