Big World

"Urrghh…Where am I?" Adrian asked them. He looks around but there is not much to see as darkness surrounds them. At least he knows that he is in the forest.

'These four are probably indigenous people who live in the mountains. Why do they dress up like that?' A question appears in his mind. He has seen indigenous people on one television program but they are living a modern lifestyle in terms of clothing, houses, diet and technology. He even met some of them during one of his club activities last year. They are no different from the rest of the people in the country except they prefer to live in the mountains.

However, these four people in front of him are dressed in animal skin clothing and even hold a stone spear. They look primitive from head to toe.

He opens his mouth, "Excuse me, can I borrow your phone for a moment?" He made a phone hand gesture.

The four people look at each other before looking at him back.

'Do they don't have a phone or they don't understand?' He is very sure that the indigenous people speak the same language as him.

Adrian is still baffled by the fact that he is in the forest, not the hospital. Looking at the darkened sky, he is sure hours have passed by. 'Did nobody know about the accident? Nah, that's impossible.'

The accident happened in the middle of the highway. No matter how sparse the car is during that time, someone will be curious about the fragments scattered on the road.

'Did the driver who hit me from behind just run away?' Adrian grits his teeth and speaks in a low voice, "Just wait, I will make a report once I get out of this forest. My car has a dashcam installed."

"Hey, do you have a phone or not?" He is getting annoyed looking at their stupid face.

"Phone? What is a phone?"

"You gotta be kidding me." Adrian scratched his head. He tries to explain with a gesture, "Err…it is a device to communicate. You know, it's small, rectangular and fits in hand."

Four of them give him a weird look as if he has some sort of mental problem.

"You know what, forget it." Adrian gives up. He wants to walk to the highway to get some help but he didn't know how far he was pushed into the forest or if he is really capable of walking that far.

"You! Where is the nearest village?" He asked Haja since he is the bravest one. The other three have a fear in their expression and cowering behind him.

Haja shook his head, "There is no village here. Only our camp is not far away."

Adrian nods, "Alright, help take me there. As you can see, I am badly injured right now." He decided to think about other stuff later. Being in the forest at night is dangerous.

"Injured?" Haja gives a questionable look before his eyes gaze down on Adrian's body.

"What? Can you see-", Adrian begins to touch his body, 'Gone! My injuries are gone! How is this even possible!' His clothes still have torn and bloodstain but his body is free from injuries and even scars.

"Uhm…" Haja hesitantly opens his mouth, interrupting the dumbfounded Adrian.

Adrian looks at Haja, "Oh yea…sorry. I'm just a bit excited. What are you saying again?"

"Do you want to go to our camp?" Haja asked.

"Sure, let's go. Show me the way." Adrian answered immediately. Staying here won't help him in any way. He asks Haja a question. "By the way, what is your name?"

"My name is Haja. They are Moja, Rosta and Tusca."

"My name is Adrian Brine. Nice to meet you."

Tusca held Moja's arm and expressed his concern, "Hey, why would Haja invite that stranger to our camp? What would happen if he is actually an enemy?"

"Haja must have his reasons. Just prepare yourself in case he turns out to be one."

It is not weird for Dunirr to betray each other. They are just a miniature human, their body may be small but their personality is just the same as a human. Due to their small size, Dunirr can be separated into two groups based on their survival method. One is Dunirr who helps each other and another one is Dunirr who betrays their own race.

Some Dunirr betray their own race by telling humans where other Dunirrs' settlement is. Usually this happens because their own settlement is discovered so they rat out another Dunirr to the human. In return, their settlement will not be targeted by humans. However, human greed knows no bounds because they will come again to ask for more Dunirr. This leaves the betrayer Dunirr no choice but to keep betraying their own race.

While walking to the camp, Adrian was looking around the forest and said, "Why do the trees look so big? This is not normal at all." A tree of his size would attract many television programmes to make nature and science documentaries. The government can even turn this place into a tourist spot.

Adrian starts to feel weird about the whole situation. The tropical rainforest looks so familiar like in his country yet it feels so different. He needs to confirm his suspicion and to do that he needs to ask Haja something.

He called for Haja, "Hey, Haja!"

"What?" he replied.

"That river…" Adrian pointed to the river adjacent to them. "What is its name?"

"Zheqas River."

Adrian was slightly surprised to hear the answer. There is no river name Zheqas in his country thus confirming his suspicion earlier. 'Well…I guess I am in another world right now but how? Is it because of the monolith acting like a portal?'

His body is still the same and there is no change in height and size. He is also confident that his handsomeness transmigrated together with him.

"Hey, Haja. You still haven't answered my question yet. Why are the trees in this forest so big?"

Haja sighs, he looks at Adrian with his confusing look. "It's not the forest that is big, we are just too small."

It took Adrian a couple of minutes to digest Haja's words. He couldn't help but ask once again, "I'm sorry, what the heck?"

"We - Are - Just - Too - Small" Haja decided to tell him word by word.

"Nani?!" Adrian is so shocked that he subconsciously speaks a different language. "Small? Like how small? Aren't you and I human though?"

Mojo interrupts, "Human? Did you hit your head? We are Dunirr no matter how you look at it."

'What in the world is Dunirr?' He never heard such species exist on Earth. Adrian decided to leave the question unanswered for now.

He keeps walking behind Haja while the other three are walking behind him. They seem wary of him.

'I feel like I'm a criminal being escorted to prison.' He shook his head, 'Forget about that, how I am going to live is more important right now.'

He already give up on the idea of going back. As many as web novels he read, he did not remember any main characters returning to their home world.
