Several hours had passed after Kalle closed his eyes.
Without him telling his three goblins what they should do, the three of them automatically stood guard around him.
Making sure their master was safe when he took his nap.
After absorbing enough mana from his surroundings, Kalle finally woke up with his lightheadedness gone.
He then took a good look at his surroundings.
His three goblins were still standing around him and the corpses of the goblin army were also still scattered around everywhere.
Being instantly reminded of where he was right now from those scenes, Kalle then stood up and stretched before asking the staff.
'Did I succeed in conquering this dungeon yet?'
Unfortunately, the staff gave him a negative answer.
'No. You haven't defeated the dungeon boss yet.'
Looking all around him, he was sure that no goblins had survived his and the three goblin's guerilla attack.
And even if he missed a few of them, then his three goblins would have taken care of them if they ever came close to his defenseless self when he slept.
'Then they must still be inside the village.'
With that knowledge, Kalle then led his three goblins and started making their way toward the village.
He had taken quite a good nap and Kalle felt that he was ready for another bout with an army of goblins. His mana had recovered and he would be able to use his abilities again.
'Ready or not, here we come,' He thought as he got out of the forest and walked towards the now-empty village.
Kalle thought about the existing possibility that there might be a chance that more goblins would have spawned inside the village considering the game-like settings he had seen so far.
Fortunately, his thoughts didn't come true and the empty goblin village was really empty.
There weren't any goblins patrolling around the village and there were also not a single one of them walking here and there inside the village.
"I guess we really pissed off the whole village."
Putting a wry smile on his face and looking at his three goblins, they all seemed to understand Kalle's emotion and smirks began to form in their mouths.
As they got closer and closer to the empty village, Kalle wiped off the smile on his face and turned to his three goblins.
"What we're going to face next is probably the strongest goblin in this place."
Looking at the streaks of silver-blue on his goblin's bodies and remembering how their prowess was quite above the ordinary goblins and how they could defeat the ordinary goblins with ease, Kalle shook his head.
"We have to prepare for the worst. This enemy might be even stronger than you guys."
With his silver staff in his hand and the three goblins having their wooden clubs raised, they finally stepped their foot inside the village ground.
The goblin village looked just like any other village. A rundown medieval one that was.
The huts looked just like people's homes and there were other structures that didn't look like a house.
There were wells, buildings that looked like storage buildings, and even the huts looked individually made as there were different details here and there from each one.
'This village looked like a real place that existed somewhere…'
Kalle kept his guard up while he observed the village and nothing came out to attack him so far since almost all goblins had charged out of the village when he provoked them before.
But the serene atmosphere soon disappeared when Kalle saw a lone goblin standing in the middle of the village.
"Stop."
He gestured the three goblins behind him to keep their weapons ready and stood behind him.
Kalle didn't know much about goblins since today was the first time he had ever seen them.
However, seeing the goblin standing in front of him, he knew that it was in no way just an ordinary goblin.
Wearing leather armor that covered its chest and its joints, a skull helmet protecting its head, and a pair of bone axes in its hand, the goblin in front of Kalle was nothing like the goblins that he had fought so far.
Not only in terms of appearance but also the vibes that it gave off.
Looking at his three contracted goblins, Kalle thought to himself, 'My guess is right. It should be stronger than my goblins…'
Kalle wanted to know more about the unknown goblin in front of him, so he asked the staff a question,
'Staff, what would happen if my contracted goblins died? Will they disappear forever?'
'No. They would respawn on their own after a certain amount of time.
Or you can also use mana to speed up the process.'
Nodding his head at the staff's answer, Kalle quickly made his decision.
"Goblin A, Goblin B, you two go ahead and fight that goblin."
"Don't worry, you guys won't really die. I will be able to bring you back if that ever happens."
The two goblins that Kalle chose soon walked forward.
They recognized the strength of the goblin standing in front of them and they realized that it was above theirs, but their master's command was their number one priority.
It was even more important than their own lives. So they quickly followed it.
As they got closer to the lone goblin, they activated their leap skill and simultaneously lunged toward the lone goblin.
Any ordinary goblin would have taken the provocation and instantly made a decision to clash their weapons against their enemies.
However, the single goblin didn't swing his weapon forward and instead jumped to the side, dodging the two goblins' attacks with ease.
However, it didn't stop there.
The second its feet touched the ground again, it activated the leap skill once again and charged straight toward the two goblins that had just missed their attacks.
One of Kalle's goblins saw what happened and tried to swat away the incoming enemy with its wooden club.
But as if it had already expected it, the lone goblin threw one of his axes forward before Kalle's goblin could move its hand to protect itself.
With their distance being so close to each other, the thrown axe instantly hit its target and it cut right through one of Kalle's goblins' arms.
Along with its forearm, the wooden club that it held all the time fell to the ground, and one of Kalle's goblins was helpless when the lone goblin closed in and swung its other axe onto Kalle's goblin head.
The seemingly weak bone axe easily cracked open Kalle's goblin head and the goblin instantly died and became countless particles of light.
Kalle's high mana sense picked up all that had just happened and he could only be both in awe and fear when he saw the lone goblin.
In that short amount of time, the lone goblin had moved its mana in different ways at the same time, multiple times.
Activating the leap ability to jump backward and activating it again mid-flight to enable itself to jump back in right away after dodging.
Then using enchant weapon right after he dashed towards his goblins to enhance his two axes, enabling him to easily cut off his goblin's arm and chop through its skull.
Added on top of all that, the lone goblin's movement was something that Kalle saw right out of action movies.
Its movement was smooth and looked like it moved in one flowing motion while doing all that movement and activating its skill.
'This will definitely not be an easy fight…'
