Kalle told his one remaining goblin to turn back, but it wasn't the best decision he could have made as his goblin wasn't smart enough to find the right moment to do so.

When it heard Kalle's command, the goblin abandoned fighting back altogether and tried to run away without seeing the circumstances.

Seeing its enemy let its guard down, the lone goblin didn't miss the opportunity and instantly took advantage of it.

Not even wasting his time chasing Kalle's goblin, the lone goblin just took a glance at the running goblin and leisurely threw his one remaining axe.

As if it had been doing it countless times, the axe hit its target precisely. Which was in the dead center of Kalle's goblin head.

With the enchant weapon ability, the bone axe easily cut through Kalle's goblin's skull and it also turned into more particles of light.

Seeing his two enemies had disappeared, the lone goblin slowly walked up to pick up his two axes and stood back while staring at Kalle.

Seeing what happened to his goblins, Kalle knew that he needed to fight with his own hands.

He might not be able to fight much better than his own goblins, but his strength was much higher than theirs.

Just as his solution so far, when there's an enemy, then he would use brute force to deal with it.

He didn't know martial arts or even any fighting techniques at all other than the ones he saw in movies and animations. So he had to make do with what he had.

Holding the silver staff tightly in his hand, Kalle slowly approached the lone goblin without using the leap skill.

He knew what would happen if he went in with too much confidence with no skill to back it up, just like what his two goblins did.

So instead of activating his leap skill, Kalle put a lot of his mana into his hands, enhancing them as much as possible.

Controlling that much mana with his own consciousness proved to be quite a challenge and Kalle felt that he could lose control of them any second.

However, he needed as much strength as possible.

He poured in more and more mana until he felt the amount of mana filling up his hands was as much as the mana that filled up his feet when he activated the leap skill.

The mana in his hands felt overfilled, it was like they threatened to explode soon.

Fortunately though…

To his surprise, when he successfully gathered that much mana and retained it for a while, the staff spoke in his mind, 'Congratulations, through your own effort, you have successfully created the skill, basic body enhancement.'

As the staff finished speaking, Kalle felt it was so easy to retain the mana in his hands despite the amount that was packed there.

Just like when he activated the leap skill, the mana stayed stable and didn't threaten to go haywire.

Then with a newfound confidence, Kalle approached the lone goblin.

Different from before when the lone goblin waited for his goblins to attack, it made the first move when Kalle entered its fighting range.

Just like what Kalle did with the leap skill, the lone goblin didn't use the skill to jump up high.

Instead, the goblin positioned his body to lunge forward, appearing in front of Kalle with inhuman speed.

Fortunately, Kalle could feel the mana coursing through the lone goblin's body and felt them filling up the goblin's feet.

So when the goblin charged toward him, Kalle used the goblin's strategy and used his own leap skill to sidestep the attack.

Finding the feeling of successfully dodging his opponent's attack ecstatic, Kalle continued copying the lone goblin's technique and activated his leap skill mid-flight.

The moment his feet touched the ground, Kalle launched his body once again.

And this time, he went in for the kill.

Using his newly acquired skill, Kalle swung the staff and aimed for the lone goblin's head.

His new skill was really a game-changer for him. 

Different from the leap skill that only accumulated mana and released them all in a short burst of energy to produce an explosive move, the basic body enhancement kept that mana inside his body and provided him with the constant boost of strength.

The amount of mana inside his hands was also multiple times bigger than the manually controlled hand enhancement.

As a result, the silver staff that weighed like nothing in his hand became even lighter.

In fact, Kalle felt so much power in his hands that he could move them much faster than before.

And with so much mana filling them, Kalle felt that he could even punch through a mountain with ease.

The silver staff that had been blasting goblins' heads open like watermelons so far became even more powerful in Kalle's enchanted hands.

The lone goblin showed emotions for the first time as its flat expression became scrunched up when it saw Kalle's silver staff almost disappear from Kalle's hand due to the speed at which it moved in.

The lone goblin was almost caught by the silver staff and had its head crushed into hundreds of pieces.

However, its superior battle experience and techniques saved itself as it instinctively moved its two bone axes to block Kalle's strike.

The clash between the two bone axes and the silver staff produced a resounding boom that traveled all the way to the forest around the village.

None of the wielders of the two weapons moved from their place as they came to a standstill when the two weapons clashed.

However, that only stayed true for a moment.

The bone axe in the front soon exploded as it couldn't contain the force that traveled within it even with the enchant weapon skill.

Not only the bone axe couldn't withstand the force, but the lone goblin's body also flew backward several meters in the air before finally landing on the ground.

Kalle looked at the powerful goblin that could defeat his two contracted goblins with ease then he looked at his own hands.

'I really did it…'

'Brute force is the fucking best…'

Knowing that he could overwhelm the powerful goblin easily, Kalle decided to go on the offensive now.

The lone goblin had just stood back up when Kalle appeared in front of it with his leap skill.

Learning its lesson, the goblin didn't even dare to raise its weapon against Kalle as it used its leap skill twice to run away from Kalle.

'Then what if I do this?'

Kalle reactivated the basic body enhancement skill. Now, instead of strengthening his hands, he strengthened his feet instead.

But he wasn't done yet. When he felt his feet were filled with mana, Kalle activated the leap skill on top of the basic body enhancement.

Even more mana began to fill his feet and he could even feel mana began to spill from his feet due to how much was packed in there.

Not wanting to waste his mana, Kalle quickly kicked his feet against the ground and went in the same direction in which the lone goblin had used its leap skill twice.

And the result satisfied Kalle.

All the mana in his feet, including the one that was there from the basic body enhancement skill, had discharged in one quick moment when he activated the leap skill.

Kalle instantly closed the distance between himself and the goblin in a matter of a couple of seconds and the momentum was still pushing him forward.

His body soon crashed against the lone goblin who didn't expect something so absurd would happen.

With Kalle raising his knees before the moment of impact and the enhancement kept his body sturdy while crashing into the goblin, Kalle's knee easily broke the goblin's back with a reverberating cracking sound.

The goblin once again crashed back into the ground. This time not finding it as easy to get back up while Kalle continued moving forward.

'Did I do it?' Kalle thought to himself after he landed back down and looked at the lone goblin that was still lying down on the ground.

However, before the staff could even give him the answer to his question, Kalle felt something unusual with the supposedly half-dying goblin.

Opening up his senses to identify what it was that made him feel something was wrong, he soon found the reason.

A huge amount of mana, one that rivaled the mana that gathered in his feet after he stacked the leap skill with the basic body enhancement skill began to gather around the lone goblin.

Even more mana then gathered as they all united inside the lone goblin's body.

As a result, the half-dying goblin that couldn't even find the strength to get back up again stood tall once more.

With one remaining cracked bone axe in his hand, eyes filled with anger, and an absurd amount of mana filling its body, the lone goblin stared straight into Kalle's eyes.

Feeling the intense stare, Kalle gulped and muttered one word.

"Shit."
