Learning magic

Johnathan solemnly places the book back onto the shelve. Reading through it simply confirm his worst nightmare.

His hand place upon his chest, gripping his clothes tightly. His heart pulsates uncontrollably, drenching him in an awful feeling called fear. Too much emotional shock for the poor man's heart, he even felt like collapsing onto the floor.

He has to move, unless he wants to stay here forever.

Johnathan picks up another history book, titled:

"Tales of Gaia."

Gaia, the goddess of mother nature. Its role is to give and nourish life. Its presence sprout grass, flowers and trees, dotting the land with an abundance of nature resource.

Through its actions, earth elemental, the embodiment of the land was born. They worshipped and enshrined Gaia.

Earth elemental can range from various shapes and sizes. Some as small as a tennis ball, others as humongous as a mountain

At its core, they are simply life infused into natural materials, with the crystal being their soul.

Without destroying and damaging the core, they could replenish back to great strength when in contacting with the land.

Interesting, it warns him of a potential comeback of earth elemental.

He continues reading; however, it is simply general information about the outside world.

He moves on to another section of the library, labeled: "Simple Earth Magic and Technology."

The easiest and quickest way to improve is by engraving inscriptions upon himself. The simplest inscription is a circle and diamond within it. The mediums used could range from organic to non-organic material, preferably a ground-related medium.

There are also countless more complex and complicated diagram however this would focus on tip and tricks for beginners.

If you couldn't crave inscription, then beginners could try carry ground related objects and items. Depending on the medium, the effects could also vary.

Reading up to this point, Jonnathan flash with a bright idea. He went downstairs into one of the bedrooms.

Using his spear, he stabs the spear into stone bed, prying out the small crystals out one by one. After a short while, he holds a handful of these shiny crystals.

By simply holding it, Jonnathan felt his spirit refreshes. The items in this mansion are indeed magical!

He stuffed them into his shirt then tucking in his tattered clothes. This ensures he could save some space and locking the gems in place. Though the hard crystals scratch his skin, Jonnathan endures the discomfort for such dark times. It could serve as an armor when in a pinch!

Jonnathan then reads a book "Basic earth magic". Learning how to cast a simple spell.
