Sad Story

Ryan sat in the lounge waiting until it was time to board the plane. he checked the clock on his wrist. Timed Jenna to take all the supplements her doctor had given her.

He took out his cell phone and called Jenna, which the woman answered immediately. He hasn't left yet but he already misses her.

"Are you leaving? Or have you arrived?" asked Jenna on the other line. He was enjoying ice cream with Clara who was reading his lecture textbook. Every now and then, Clara could be heard giving Jenna a quiz to stimulate her memories of college.

"Not yet. Have you taken your Supplements yet? Don't ignore this, Jenna. You remember, you really wanted this baby."

"I know . . . I drank it earlier. And I'm fine. You don't have to worry," he said. Ryan smiled to himself at the thought of him being more like a father than a lover to Jenna.
