Why I am doing a fanfic

So if any of you want to know why I am doing a fanfic instead of an original story is so that I can improve my writing without completely ruining an original novel. Also ive always wanted to write a fanfic now I have an excuse to! I will aim for one chap a day but school or sickness may stop me
