As the swirling attack rapidly closed in on Frieza, he sensed the high-speed rotation and wind disturbance caused by the attack. Instinctively, he reacted by dodging the attack. The destructo disk sliced through a hill and left a clean cut, showing the devastating power it possessed.

Meanwhile Krillin, who had lost his arm, had taken refuge in a crevice in the mountainside. With no strength to face Frieza, he contemplated his situation. The remaining fighters, including Raditz and Goku, retreated to a valley to catch their breath.

During this time, several unfamiliar figures appeared in the sky.

"Hey, is that Nail?" Krillin exclaimed.

"Yes, it's them. These guys are practically seeking death," Vegeta responded with disdain, seemingly unconcerned about the fate of the Namekians.

As Nail and the others arrived on the scene, they were met with Frieza's fierce attack. Blinded by their arrogance and underestimation of Earth's fighters, they quickly fell victim to Frieza's wrath.

Frieza's anger intensified, and he waved a purple-red whip, slicing through the air and cleaving the sky. The remaining Namekians, who were combat-ready, were caught off guard by Frieza's sudden assault. Only Nail managed to react quickly enough, bending his body to an astonishing angle to evade the attack. However, everyone else was bisected at the waist by the attack.

Nail had managed to save three of his companions, but they had already met their end here.

Amidst the chaos, a figure emerged from the water and rescued the mortally wounded Namekians, bringing them to the shore. However, the figure was also covered in blood, leaving a trail of thick, purple-stained blood in the sea.

It was Slug, who hadn't succumbed to death yet. He dragged his battered body and desperately rescued the defeated Namekian warriors.

Raditz observed this scene, shocked by Slug's resilience. He had been planning to have Piccolo assimilate the combat-oriented Namekians as a strategy to strengthen their forces. This was a selfish decision on his part, saving the last of their combat-oriented Namekians resources for himself.

Nail approached Piccolo, instructed by the elder to join forces with him to confront their powerful enemy. They had come to bolster Piccolo's strength, hoping to make him significantly stronger in one go. However, Frieza had taken the initiative and thwarted their plans. Unexpectedly, the sinister Slug had seized one of their comrades, and Nail suspected he would force an assimilation.

As an evil Namekian, Slug cared little for these concerns. He placed his hand on the chest of a dying Namekian, emitting a black light that invaded their consciousness and initiated assimilation.

Having accessed the elder knowledge, Slug had learned about assimilation. He resorted to his Namekian instincts in this dire situation. His powerful malevolent will twisted the dying Namekian's fragile consciousness, facilitating a successful assimilation.

Dark light emanated from Slug's hand, engulfing the two individuals. The explosion of energy that followed signified a successful assimilation. Slug's combat power surged as his wounds healed, and he felt an unprecedented power coursing through him. Assimilating these Namekians had granted him a significant boost in strength.

Vegeta also noticed the change in Slug. Despite the ambiguous nature of his reinforcement, it could potentially work to their advantage. At least, it might help buy time until another formidable force arrived, like Vegeta himself.

In the midst of the chaos, Frieza launched a purple energy beam towards Slug. However, Slug reacted quickly enough to evade the attack. The energy beam obliterated a Namekian's head instead, creating a column of light that shot towards the sky.

Slug retreated, holding only one arm, his expression filled with anger.

Meanwhile, Nail was explaining the situation to Piccolo. According to the elder guru instructions, he was prepared to sacrifice himself to strengthen Piccolo's abilities in order to combat powerful enemies.

Raditz chose not to intervene with Slug's actions. Given that their common enemy was Frieza, having Slug as an unexpected ally might be advantageous. Slug's presence could serve as a temporary distraction and delay, allowing another potent force, like Vegeta, to join the fight.

In this moment, Raditz directed Vegeta and Nappa to enhance their strength through combat experience. Resurrecting after sudden death was an innate ability, but it required a specific combination of physical, psychological, and environmental conditions to reach its maximum potential.
