.20 Chapter 20

Waking up the next morning I get up and chuckle when I see Kovu laying on the guest bed with Maya who is still unconscious. Heading outside I grab some graph papers and begin sketching everything I know I'll need before taking the ship apart and breaking it down till it's just a frame.

"Ok so that's done now I just have to finish sketching all the internal pieces and the outer walls". Organizing all the panels and pieces in order of where they go in the new ship I finish doing the basic sketches and ask the blacksmith if he'll assist me. As soon as he comes in he sees the spaceship and rubs his chin. " We're fixing a spaceship sir?" Nodding I make a motion with my hand "sort of Andrew, what we're doing is completely rebuilding the frame with dragonium then reattaching the components and flight systems internally." Walking over and looking at my sketches his eyes get wide in admiration as he looks at every single sketch. "the amount of detail you've put into these is astounding. It'll still take a few days to build everything and a few more to reattach all the panels to the frame but that's not a big deal."

Grabbing some molding material I begin making a mold of the panels while Andrew starts melting the dragonium bars down to pour them. After a few hours we have the dragonium heated to a constant liquid state and have one panel setting and almost finished. "lets have some dinner and get some rest while that finishes then tomorrow we can pour another panel or two."

Andrew nods and puts a lid on the dragonium so it will not become impure with anything in the air. That night I make Chicken and dumplings ,and to my surprise, Maya manages to get to the table and sits down. "Andrew this is Maya she's the owner of the ship that we are repairing." Taking a bite of his dumplings Andrew looks up at Maya "it's a pleasure to meet you ma'am, just a suggestion but maybe next time land a little lighter " he laughs and goes back to eating as Maya blushes and eats her food.

After dinner Maya goes to her room and I put Andrew on the couch then clean up the kitchen and mops up where Kovu ate cause let us be honest a Tigergon can be a little messy sometimes. "I'm heading to bed Andrew I'll see you in the morning" Heading to bed I lay down and pass out, already thinking about the rest of the ship.

After almost a week of pouring and setting the panels everything is made And about to be attached. After bracketing and hinging everything its time to start adding the pieces back to the frame and get the ship together. Grabbing a wrench I place the first panel against the ship and tighten it down. "The dark blue color of the dragonium will also blend in with your surroundings anytime your in deep space Maya"

Nodding she watches as Andrew and I place each panel one at a time and in less than four hours the ship is ready to go externally.. Now it's time for the computer systems and the new weapons I'm going to be building. "Andrew take Maya into the ship and have her walk you through attaching all the modules and system pieces, I'm going to start putting the plasma lances together." Walking to my work bench I watch them go in the ship as I put the lancer cannons together which are a lot sleeker and stronger than normal cannons that just fire beams.

The strength of the lancer cannons comes from it's spear shaped energy beams that actually slice through space and penetrate almost any armor type. molding the heated dragonium to the cannon frames I begin wiring them to the front on either side of the cockpit window.

Nine hours later just before dinner time the ship and weapons systems are online and a small hum can be heard from the engine of the ship. "We actually did it, Andrew we built a freaking spaceship my friend." Maya comes down and smiles softly " I want you to come with me and join my sect Excer. We are known as the star zone warriors and I was actually finishing a mission when you saved me. We mostly have swordsmen and some gunners but a pugilist, especially one with your mechanical abilities, we could really use your help."

I only think for a few seconds before grabbing my weapon and storing it in my inventory. "I accept your invite but Kovu comes to, Andrew your welcome in my base anytime you want here's the key" Handing him the key I make sure I have enough food and clothing in my inventory then walk onto the ship with Maya and Kovu while Andrew simply smiles and nods anxious to see us take off.

Looking at Maya as I sit down in the co-pilots seat I ask her "how far are we from the main planet of your sect?" Flipping a few switches and closing the gang plank she thinks for a second before answering. "about two weeks and we'll be at the base then we will get you initiated and you will be an official star zone warrior" Nodding and getting relaxed I pet Kovu "sounds good I'm ready for lift off as soon as you are captain" Nodding Maya hits the throttle and the ship purrs as it slowly lifts off and all the panels and systems show green on the display before beginning to float higher heading towards the outer atmosphere.
