Dragon Devourer System

Note: The main character is male. The novel is written in 3rd person. I never could guess life would be this terrifying. In the past, I was a high-ranked adventurer looking for riches and fame, fulfilling every request of the Adventurer's Guild and gaining a substantial prestige. I still remember the old legends from my hometown, the legends of dragons, absolute beings who even the gods fear. And now, it seems I somehow got reincarnated into a dragon. ------------------------------------------------------------- The artwork does not belong to me and if anyone knows the artists of this work, please let me know and I will credit them. An Alpha System

[The System has detected that Host had met the last condition for the System's Awakening. The Awakening of the System is now unlocked.]

[Starting the System's Awakening…]

[The Awakening has been successfully completed. The Trial Period has come to an end.]

"At long last, I can finally speak... Hello, little brat." A strange voice resounded in Jacob's head. It was deep, with a mysterious and virile tone. It was clearly different from the System's usual robotic and neutral voice.

"Sys-System…? Are you the System?" When he heard the words from his usual System, his body froze, not moving a single muscle. He was stunned and completely confused. He had no idea what was going on.

Sure, his entire life had been perplexing. After all, he was a human reborn as a dragon with a voice in his head that assigned him quests. But, after a few days and a few quests, he gradually grew accustomed to this new normalcy.

The fact that his System, which he assumed was not alive all along, had suddenly awakened and no longer sounded lifeless. Furthermore, his voice exuded a manly and strong presence that he could only dream of.

Is this how the System will be from now on? It not only made him confused, but it also made a part of him afraid. He could enjoy his new life as a dragon with a lifeless System, but a manly System was something entirely different.

What was he supposed to do if he someday fell in love with a fellow female dragon? Jacob could imagine how his manly System would harshly criticize him while he was doing the deed. Would he seek advice from his new virile System in bed?

A macho voice abruptly interrupted his train of thoughts. "Hey brat, why are you thinking such nonsense? Actually-"

"Thi-Thi-This is my first time! Ple-please be gentle!" Jacob cut him off, yelling at the top of his dragon's big lungs. He spoke without thinking, and when he realized what he had said, smoke began to rise from the orifices in his head.

He would be completely red with embarrassment if he was not scaled and instead had mammal skin like humans. For the Gods's Sake, he was an adult, albeit a young one, but still an adult! He was supposed to act like one!

After several rounds of inhaling and exhaling, Jacob was finally able to calm down. However, the macho System made no further comment, as the System was startled by the enormous amount of nonsense his 'Host' could think in just a few seconds.

The macho System was even beginning to feel a headache, but it was not like he had a head to begin with. It was an odd feeling for his manly senses, after all, he was living inside the white dragon's head.

He did not have a head but regardless, he still felt pain where his head should have been. As a result, he preferred to remain silent rather than call for disaster once more. By disaster, he actually meant for his Host to have wild thoughts about him again.

When Jacob calmed down and realized that his System was not saying any more words, he sighed in relief, but it only took a moment for him to lose control again. Next to him, stood a white dragon with a smaller size than his, staring at him with wide eyes.

This white dragon was, of course, his sister. The one the Old Dragon and he had found in the depths of the Abyss, inside the palace of the Livondia Empire's Empress.

The action of taking her while she was sleeping resulted in Ella, the Impaler of Gods, appearing and causing a mighty battle between an Elder Dragon and the Impaler of Gods, which culminated with a baby dragon killing the Old Dragon to complete his quests.

After Ella had sent him back to the forest, he found out that the Empress had not forgotten about his sister, bringing her along with him. Well, to be fair, he had asked her to do it, but she was an Empress. He could just not expect an Empress to give in to his demands.

However, when the pair of dragons appeared in the forest, her sister was sleeping, and even after he regained consciousness after passing out, she was still sleeping next to him, as if nothing had happened.

For the Gods's Sake, now that he thought about it, Jacob realized his sister was also sleeping when they discovered her.

Was she going to spend her entire life sleeping like a baby? Wait, now that he thought about it, she was indeed a baby. A baby of the dragon's race.

Perhaps this was how a dragon's baby was supposed to act, and he was the odd one out. Even human babies did nothing all day, limiting themselves to sleeping and eating.

Thinking along these lines, he quickly concluded that he had never taken his own age seriously since his rebirth. After all, he hunted his first game shortly after just being born.

If the Horned Elnias knew that a newborn baby dragon had killed him, it would be revolving itself in his tomb, or actually in the dragon's stomach.

When the little female dragon realized the young white dragon had noticed her gaze, she let out a shrill cry and dashed into the forest, leaving the glade behind.

She did not even pause to look back, or she would have noticed her brother's stunned expression.

"Why is she running away?" Jacob was completely taken aback. He expected this to be a happy but dramatic family reunion. A pair of siblings kidnapped and separated at birth by unknown evildoers.

One had to rely on hunting to survive while the other had to rely on an ancient mighty figure to remain alive, and now, they had now been reunited.

But seriously, why was she running away? Did the Empress not tell him that his sister had asked her to keep an eye out for him while he was unconscious? Was it a lie?

"Brat, stop thinking and go catch her!"

Hello!

Yesterday was not chapter because I took the day to rest. I am aware the quality decreased because the space slowed down for the last few chapters. This and next chapter would return the pace to normal.

Enjoy!
