Chapter Six: The Beast In The Ruins

[Option A]

'I know what I have to do. If I tried to get into Kame house Roshi might sense my less than pure intentions and reject me instantly so this is probably the best option.'

I turn on the ignition of the black car that I chose to take for this mission and I start driving towards the nearest town so that I can connect to the internet and find out where penguin village is.

Once I arrived in the town I started walking around until I could find a library that I could use to connect to the internet.

Once I connected to the internet I searched up Penguin village on the search engines version of google maps.

'So penguin village is twelve hours away from here a really freaking long journey but at least I know where it is now,' I complain to myself.

'Ugh, it's getting late. I'll go to a hotel to stay the night then I'll start my twelve hour drive to penguin village.'

I go find a hotel and buy a cheap room to spend the night.

I woke up and quickly got ready for my journey to penguin village. I get in my car and I start the longest car ride in both of my lives.

"HONK"

"DON'T YOU KNOW HOW TO DRIVE YOU IDIOT. YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO FUCKING GO AROUND THE CAR IN FRONT OF YOU TO GET AHEAD OF THEM," I scream at some idiotic driver in front of me.

"HONK"

"WHY ARE YOU HONKING AT ME YOU BLOODY IDIOT, YOU'RE THE ONE WHO DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO DRIVE!"

Halfway through my supposedly twelve hour journey I see a sign saying "Welcome to penguin village".

'What the fuck? This was meant to be a twelve hour journey but it's only been six hours? I must have used some shit yahoo type search engine.'

I park my car in the parking lot of a shop and walk up to someone who appears to be a local fisherman and start asking about the island that's meant to be close to here.

"Hey, I heard that there's an island not to far from here and I was wondering if you knew anything about it or if I could get a boat ride to the island."

"Bro if I was you I wouldn't go there. There are a ton of legends and rumours that a demon called piccolo came and killed everyone on that island. It's apparently haunted so you won't find any boats going there."

I thank the local fisherman for the information and walk away to decide my next course of action.

'Since there are zero boats that go to that island and Master Shen hasn't taught me how to fly yet I guess the only way for me to get there is by swimming which won't be too hard because of my training with master Shen but it will still be a tedious and arduous task.'

I start walking to the shore of Penguin village and after calculating the bearings of the island I jumped into the water, clothes and all because I wouldn't be able to carry the clothes and I didn't want to explore the island naked.

While swimming through the slightly cold water I looked down at the seabed and had a thought.

'In the future, what if I built myself a base at the bottom of a seabed as far away from civilisation as possible where I could train and carry out experiments. It seems like a decent idea in my opinion.'

I can finally see the shore of the island and I instantly see the ruins of several small buildings and close to one of them I see a small decomposing skull most likely that of a teen.

'Piccolo absolutely ravaged this place. I knew it would be wrecked but not this bad and he's one of the weakest villains in the entire dragon ball franchise. He outclasses me completely it goes to show that I have a long way to go,' I think to myself as I arrive on the shore.

I walk towards one of the wrecked houses to start investigating and finding clues about Mutaito's training academy.

On the remainder of one of the walls there is an explosion mark most likely from a rogue Ki blast. There is also a tatty training uniform the words Mutaito's training academy on the back. The last thing that I could find was a small damaged training journal with sword kata's and step by step explanations, a decent find.

I continue to search through some of the other ruins and I enter the last one I'm going to look through before I search for the main dojo.

I walk into the last ruin before I hear a sharp crack and trip, As I'm pushing myself back up I realise that the crack I heard and the thing that tripped me up was a decaying corpse.

'That's probably the creepiest thing I've seen in both of my lives and it fucking reeks too,' I thought while dusting myself off.

"grrrrrr."

I hear a low growling noise and before I can fully turn around there is a cold feeling on my shoulder blade and the next thing I know there is a thud on the ground and I'm feeling immense amounts of pain.

'What the fuck! My arm is on the fucking floo-.'

My instincts start screaming at me and I jump out of the way of another attack barely dodging it.

I turn around to look at whatever it was that attacked me and I see a green being with a tail.

"Who the hell are you, what are you," I say while panting for my breath.

"I am Kazoo, son of the great demon king piccolo and you are on my land so die," Kazoo said before rushing at me.

'Kazoo? I don't remember anything about a Kazoo in the original dragon ball so he's most likely one of piccolo's fodder children,' I think to myself whilst dodging another attack.

'This is my first real fight, I need to be as lethal as possible or else I'll end up like the rest of the corpses on this damned island.'

I go in and try to sweep Kazoo's legs but he jumps and dodges it.

Kazoo uses his tail to smack me and I'm unable to dodge this attack.

'Shit if the fight keeps going on like this I'll be crushed into meat paste with my injury I need to do something.'

I get up from that hit and I start to create the move that I've been training recently a Ki blast.

Kazoo sees that I'm trying to do something and he goes in for an attack that I barely manage to sidestep out of the way of but it still grazes my hair taking a bit off.

Before Kazoo can prepare himself I fire the Ki blast with my last remaining arm that hits Kazoo clearly and sends him several meters back.

'I think I've knocked him out or killed him but I can't let my guard down until I check for myself.'

"Heh heh heh, That attack was pathetic compared to what my father could do and because you were too weak to finish me off I'll kill you."

Kazoo leaps off the ground and dashes at me full speed with a punch aiming right at my gut.

I move to dodge but I wince at the pain from my lost arm allowing Kazoo to get a clean punch at my stomach dropping me to the ground and causing me to cough up blood.

'Shit! Coughing up blood means internal bleeding and he probably broke a rib with that punch too.'

"Human, lying there in your own blood is a good position for your shitty species now lie there and let me kill you."

Kazoo starts saying more stuff that I zone out while I try to formulate a plan:

'What can I do I'm injured, I'm one arm down and I'm bleeding internally I have to do someth-,'

'you know what why do I have to do something, why do I have to keep fighting, I have no goals and nothing to live for my life here has zero meaning, So what is my goal why should I live why do I want to live if I can't think of a reason I may as well just stay here and accept my fate,' I think while on the ground.

Option A: Freedom, I want to live for freedom so that I can do whatever I want when I want to unlike my last life, I want to be the most free person in existence.

Option B: For the experiences, I want to live for the experiences I will make in this life and everything I will get to do.

Option C: Power, I want to live for the strength that I can attain so that I can be the strongest person in existence.

Option D: Control, I want to live to control everything in existence in my last life it was the politicians that controlled everything in this life it will be me I will control everything that moves and that doesn't.

Option E: To be alive, I want to be live to be alive. It may sound basic and it is but it is extremely complex at the same time.

Option F: I don't care, Wether I live or I die I don't care I just want to be comfortable so if I die now I couldn't care less.

What's this two uploads within four days of each other that's insane. Jk

Something I noticed is that I'm actually decent at writing a character suffering, weird.

What do you think of the fight between Ketsu and Kazoo it was my first fight scene so any feedback would be very welcome.
