Quick in and out

Enter the dark demon cave I felt a slight shiver down my spine. I got rid of the ball of ki I was using to light my way and just surrounded myself in ki instead. I had also taken out the gourd of mist from its container on my bracelet. It was cold down here, I thought the demon world would be hot and brimstone-y I mean that was the standard right? My bracelet would map the way i walk so i could return to the open gate pretty easily.

I was walking for a while not seeing much. Though with the feeling of being watched and my ki armor being a literal beacon in the darkness. I knew something was here though so I stopped. As soon as I stopped a demon yelled, followed by 3 demons jumping out at me. "Now! Get em!"

I looked at the three one was hairy ball and the other two looked more human, but resemble some kind of ogre. I created a javelin of ki and three it into each of them. The hair ball seemed to have died instantly, but the ogre like demons were still alive. I kicked one in the side.

"Hey numb nuts what's your name." "fuck y..KRk." I stepped on his throat as he spoke and created another javelin of ki. Pointed it towards the demons crotch, "Name or you will die almost a woman."The demons eyes lit up, "Please don't!" I stared slightly....

"Our names are Mundie, Jub and Hairy!" I rolled my eyes, even if he lied he technically identified himself so I should work. i on corked the gourd of mist and repeated the names. "Mundie, Jub and Hairy." If hairy was the hair ball it likely wouldn't be absorbed since it was dead, but I might as well see right? It took a second and the demon I was standing over to tried and ask a question, but suddenly he and the other ogre demon were sucked into the gourd. Their bodies distorted and shrunk as they were absorbed into the gourd. The effect reminded me of the evil containment wave.

I smiled though, as even though one of the fist demons I tested it on were dead. I at least understood that it took about 5ish seconds to start absorbing. This was likely to give time to respond and prevent being turned into alcohol by the gourd. I was still smiling until I realized I forgot to ask about any other groups of demons. I really should've done that!

I started walking again and saw some more lower level demons that remind me of imps and such and those were either killed pretty quickly or begged to be spared. Thankfully one of hem had told me about a gathering of demons that would fight each other. I took out my scouter and put it on, enveloping it into my force-field just encase. It was actually pretty handy since it told me that I was actually surrounded currently by a bunch of demons with power levels around 10-70. Not that strong, but I was happy to get more test subjects!

"Hello friends in the darkness, you wanna come out?"

When none of them came out I rolled my eyes, why do people do this? I fired a beam of ki where the scouter was tracking a weaker demon. "Stop wait, Wait!" Most of the weaker demons came out.

"What's up? Wanna talk, tell me your names, die?" The looked between themselves and the ones in the darkness. "Well, first what is a person like yourself doing here inside the demon realm."

I was impressed it seemed they could figure out I wasn't human. "General things, carrying out experiments though mostly."

"Do you mind stopping?"

"Not particularly, but if you tell me the names of some demons that you wish to get rid of you could redirect me."

The demons looked around, "Yeah okay that's fair. If you follow this tunnel and then left you will find a group of demons which are pretty strong. They work under a demon named Shannon."

I smiled, "Great! but that's only the name of one of them..." They all looked a little panicked and gave up the names of various demons. It seemed as if there was some kind of demon world politics at play here, but not like I cared. I just trudged off to hunt down my new empowering beverages! Well I mean I say beverages, but really it was likely a smoothie of alcoholic demonic energies...

Those demons likely would try to find the unlocked demon gate. Hmm, they were weak to me, but most humans only had a power level of single digits. I should likely go back and kill them...but at the same time...

I walked up into a giant opening with a pit arena and a bunch of demons cheering. Ah the wonderful sound of free exp. Looking over all the power levels the strongest person here was a great 5k. with several others rounding with anywhere between 1k and 3k. I began too laugh uncontrollable due to the unbelievable amount of joy!

Unfortunately that got the attention of the hundreds odd demons that were watching the fight in the arena. The guy with 5k stood up and shouted at me. "Who might you be!"

"Yo! Just a casual scientist, are you Shannon?"

"A casual scientist? You are in the demon realm! Uhhh...Are you human? I mean you kind of look it, but you don't seem like it." I shrugged, "Meh, its complicated. I did get here through one of the earth gates though. Except that doesn't really matter." I uncorked the gourd, "Shannon, Melin..." listing off the names of varying demons. They all just looked at me like I was crazy, but seconds later chaos sprung forward when they all started to be contained into Gourd of Mist.

I had to admit this was amazing, so simple so fun and it was gonna be too easy! Within a few seconds the gourd had contained every demon I had named. Some tried to attack me as they were sucked into the gourd, but most just tried to run. It seemed the gourd was a strange enough item that none understood it or didn't know what it was. Once he wave of demons was handled I re-corked the gourd. From my understanding it would just eventually turn them all into alcohol.

The one flaw in this would be that I had no idea if it could contain stronger and stronger people. I had just contained a 5k power level demon. I had doubts it could contain anything higher... I had to run more tests and contain and release a few creatures to learn about the innards of the gourd and how it effects individuals...
