Yami woke up from his nap happily

In actuality taking control of Broly's body was taxing on him. He would never admit it but even though Broly let him take control, his will was constantly fighting against him.

When he first attempted the stress on his mind was unbearable so he had to swallow his pride and beg Broly to lighten the load for him.

A shameful thing for a Saiyan to do.

Unlike Broly, Yami was an extremely proud being, happy that he had found one of the finest vessels and minds in the whole of Saiyan history. Furthermore, the universe, as it would have it, singled him out specifically to have express control over it, not even being consumed in the process.

So after he begged, he made it his duty to show Broly the difference between the two of them, going all out when showing his precise mastery over ki.

So you can imagine his surprise when he saw Broly in his Super Saiyan state, avidly weaving 20 small orbs of ki that moved around the room, frequently travelling in and out of his body.

'W-W-W-W-' Yami stuttered, unable to even try and get out what he was thinking.

"Oh Yami! You're awake!" Broly said, surprisedly, suddenly making all the ki orbs stop.

"How? You're in Super Saiyan! Already? How? What did you do?" Yami spluttered out questions, unable to get over the fact that Broly was already in Super Saiyan.

Although he made it seem like it was an easy task, entering Super Saiyan was not a quick job at all, Yami originally wanted to enter the form soundlessly but couldn't create a high enough pressure in Broly's body without screaming out.

Yamoshi, the first Legendary Super Saiyan, was only able to achieve this form just before the end of his life. Regardless that he was killed in combat, it still wasn't something one should be able to do on the first day of the job.

"What? You think I'm so stupid that I would need you to hold my hand to transform?" Broly said aggressively, Yami realising for the first time how deep Broly's voice was.

'N-N-No! I just thought that-'

Yami's words were broken by a fit of laughter from Broly.

"N-N-No! Pfffffft!" he said out loud mocking Yami, continuing to laugh hard as Yami was completely dumbstruck.

"I'm just fucking with you, no need to take it personally," Broly said, finally calming down.

'What happened to the kid?' he thought to himself.

Broly, before he transformed, was such a pansy!

Although he trained like a monster, Yami was convinced he would never hurt a fly if he wasn't provoked but now Broly seemed to act the way he thought he initially should.

'It must be the Super Saiyan Transformation!' Yami concluded, he knew that the transformation, affected a Saiyan's emotions causing them to act more impulsively and angrily than they normally would but it shouldn't have been this dramatic.

It was almost out of character.

'Don't tell me the kid's transformation is busted as well!' he thought despairingly.

When Broly got angry, his will and control over his body was not necessarily weaker but considerably less stable, providing the perfect point of entry for Yami to take control. If Broly's Super Saiyan state was unique as well, then he would have to completely re-tailor his plan as an unseen variable could screw him over completely.

"Do you want to know how I did it?" Broly asked, waiting for Yami to respond.

'Y-Yeah!' Yami forced out, his mind still working.

Broly said nothing but focused his ki on his back, more notably his spine and made it the focal point for his entire state of being.

FWOOOSH!

The ki around Broly intensified, a huge pressure forcing the wind to crackle as arcs of yellow lightning weaved in and out of existence around Broly's hair which was as bright as a sun, shining powerfully in the heavy aura of energy.

Yami from the inside could see all of the processes occurring and was instantly shocked.

'I didn't even know that! The spine is actually the site for Super Saiyan activities in the body!'

'H-How did you figure that out' Yami said to Broly, trying to compose himself.

"Uh-Uhm well..." Broly stuttered, acting more like himself in his base form but Yami was too shocked to notice this.

"I don't think you would understand if I explained it to you," he said softly, trying not to hurt Yami's feelings.

'Wah?'

'You're too stupid to understand!'

Yami guffawed as these were the words he inferred from Broly's speech.

'Who do you think I am!' Yami roared out in Broly's mind, his pride taking irreparable damage.

'I am the embodiment of the Legendary Super Saiyan, the sacred Saiyan power that should have merged with your mind but became a separate being! You think that I'm unable to understand something you stumbled across through trial and error?' Yami shouted out, demeaning Broly's efforts.

Broly furrowed his brows but his sharp and eager mind quickly came up with something.

"Indeed, you're right, I am only a current generation Saiyan, I pale in comparison to the Saiyans of old with their vast volumes of intelligence," Broly said slowly and respectfully.

'T-That's right!' Yami retorted back, unable to see the trap he had just fallen in.

"So you obviously know that because your brain, the control centre of your body, is connected to the spine which is linked to receptors and effectors responsible for the release of any kind of hormone that has a large area of effect..." Broly stopped in the middle of his explanation, waiting for Yami to say something.

'Yes, Yes, of course, I knew that' Yami lied, unsure of what the word receptor meant.

"The spine has to be responsible for the communication of those hormones as it is the pathway between every other part of the body and the brain, therefore the genes that control Super Saiyan, logically have to be located within the spine, at some point, and by concentrating ki in this area you can increase the output of Super Saiyan," Broly concluded.

"Yes, Yes... in fact I was even planning to tell you that later!" Yami declared, boldly lying.

"Really?" Broly said, seeing through Yami's words.

Yami was silent, caught between a rock and a hard place.

"Then it would be a shame to let all that insight go to waste, if you were able to understand that then you would no doubt be able to help me further configure the space properties in my ki guards," Broly said politely.

'What?'

"No need to be modest! Next time we are in the lab, I'll consult you on the decisions we make moving forward!" Broly said, making a promise.

"Oh-ok," Yami said quietly.

"Great!" Broly said, continuing to move the orbs of ki around.
