Because Elric was unsure how long the trip to Gagaree was going to take he wanted to make good use of the time it was going to take for the messages to be sent back and forth between the three continents. This was also the first real test of the new hybrid birds Odis had managed to successfully breed. He had named them Twin Moon Ravens. The birds where just a few inches smaller than the night ravens of House Pendragon, but they had somehow grown an additional pair of wings and not just the namesake twin tails of their parent. This caused the twin moons ravens to be even faster than the twin tailed birds while having most of the endurance that came from the night raven.
