The Undead King.

AUTHORS NOTE: UNEDITED CHAPTER

Elena naturally took the lead, and her teammates were relying on her to make it out of the undead territories alive and unarmed.

with every step they took, they were moving farther into the forest. After walking for several hours without stopping to rest, they finally came across a different terrain.

instead of the usual forest they've become used to,the ground seemed to be more rocky with different large and small rocks all over the place.

looking ahead, they saw a large mountain far in the distance. They were lost, but with no other option, they kept going forward. the mountain seemed almost out of place. It looked like it didn't belong there in the first place.

Elena, at this point, brought out her magical staff, holding it firmly as she matched forward with great speed that would be impossible for any human to keep up with.

Upon reaching the foot of the mountain, Elena activated her scrutiny skill. she began scanning for life signs. While using her scrutiny skill to scan the surroundings, she noticed something different, something her regular eyes were unable to detect.

With the help of the scrutiny skill, she could see a giant metallic door that was approximately 12 feet tall, positioned to their left, that led into the mountain. Scanning further, she saw various passage ways and a new life sign that was different from anything she had seen before.

She deactivated the skill and told the others they would be going into the mountain through the giant door. She also instructed them to be prepared for battle as she was unsure of what was ahead.

They all thought she was crazy because there was no door, let alone a giant one, but no one said anything.

seeing no one objected, Elena walked up to the door, gently placing her hands on the metallic surface as if on queue a system message popped up in front of her.

"You have found the Long lost kingdom of the Undead King, Do you wish to enter into the king castle?"

seeing the notification, Elena quickly selected the yes option, with that the sounds of locks being unlocked could be heard and instinctively she backed away from the door.

Aruh and the others all shared a surprise look amongst themselves. It was at that moment they realised Elena had been serious when she was talking about a giant door.

Quickly, they all brought out their weapons, They all decided to do as Elena had previously instructed.

Turning around, she signalled for them to follow behind her as she entered the mountain, which they all did, and the giant gate closed behind them once again, living them in total darkness. This wasn't a problem for elena and her team, as vampires they could see clearly in the dark.

"Elena, since you have been granted entry into this castle, you must know the undead king isn't one you can fight or go into a battle with as he his one with death. no matter what you do, try not to engage him in battle." Dracula said

hearing Dracula speak like this, elena was becoming nervous, she knew he wasn't one to say things just for fun, if Dracula is asking her not to engage In any form of battle then it means she had zero chance against this undead king.

Speaking in a low tone, she asked the others to put their weapons away, and they all complied with Elena's order. she was still holding the magical staff, as she wasn't willing to walk into the lions den Completely defenceless.

"Scrutiny has been activated." She activated her scrutiny skills once again as she began scanning her surroundings. up ahead, they saw armed skeletons walking towards them, Elena and her team halted their steps.

The moment the skeletons made it to the front of elena, the passage way was lit up with various wooden torches that were attached to the rocky walls.

Seeing the skeletons in front of her, Elena bowed slightly as she said, "We come in peace, and we request an audience with your king." After saying this, the skeletons turned around, heading back towards where they had come from, seeing this elena and the others followed behind them.

Entering into a large hall, they saw a large throne with a giant humanoid figure sitting on it. The figure looked more like a giant zombie man. present in the hall were several zombies and skeletons. They all had a lifeless aura around them. present in the room was the smell of death itself.

Looking at the giant undead king sitting on his throne was sending shivers down their spines. Elena activated her scrutiny skill, hoping to find any valuable information about this zombie undead king, but the moment she activated her skills, she got a system message. "Error, subject information has been blocked, host level is too low to view this information."

"Don't you think it's rude to invade others' privacy Elena Greenleaf?" The voice of the undead king vibrated in the room. hearing this, elena was confused about what the King was referring to exactly.

whether he was talking about her and her teammates. Entering into the castle uninvited or the fact that she just tried to use her scrutiny skills on him, Elena knew she was guilty.

Quickly she fell to the ground on both knees with her head low, "I apologise your Majesty, my friends and I have been appointed with a great tasks that involves the life of a friend and classmate. We didn't mean to intrude. We were separated from our main team, and now we are lost, we hope your greatness will look upon us with favour and show us kindness."

seeing elena in this position, the others quickly joined her, not just because they wanted to imitate elena, but from the moment the undead king had spoken they realised they were standing in front of a creature that far surpassed their strength level or that of anyone they've ever seen in zastlevania, the aura around him was one with death.

Moreover, from the way the king had spoken, it was obvious he knew who they were, and he was very intelligent, unlike what they thought them back in zastlevania, that the undead were senless monsters.

"Hmm, you're a strange one, little girl. What business does a Greenleaf have with the bloodline of Dracula?"
