reflecting before the trip

The next day old Jack was visited by Tang Hao where he asked if he could escort Tang San to Nortan academy in his stead. I was already prepared for this, so I packed my bags yesterday.

I had already planned out what I was going to tell old Jack when we got there.

He came into my room and with a derisive tone that can only be gained through the love of fatherhood he opened his big mouth to shout. "wake up you lazy brat and get to work. I'm going to be gone for the rest of the day and I don't want you wasting your time cloud watching in the woods again..."

after inform me that he was gonna be gone For the rest of the day because he had to drop off tang san at Nortan academy and ranting at me for my supposed laziness he headed off.

after he left to the blacksmiths house i started making my way to the carriage that would take them to Nortan academy.

on my way there i Reflected on my progress since regaining my memories at the age of two. until now I have been focusing on my physical condition in preparation for my future. I have already set up a good foundation thanks to the extensive knowledge gained through my predecessors.

currently i was physically as strong as a genin or a non seated officer but since my fighting ability was directly proportional to my refined fighting style and not head on strength I would not lose to a tokubitsu jonin or to a 10th seated officer. my decision to rely on speed and precision allowed me to train towards refining my skills so I could pull off the beautiful yet difficult fighting styles that my predecessors used. most of my moves relied on using my opponent's strength to maneuver them into positions where I can land decisive blows so all my predecessors came into play when refining my style.

With orochimaru focuse on using Snakes as his inspiration for his fighting style most of his moves were aimed at bypassing the opponents attacks to land decisive blows. If you were to pair his fighting style with the swiftness and precision that comes with yoruichis techniques gained from the onmitsukido of the 2nd devision you get a deadly combination. her mastery of shunpo has brought me to the peak of a 3rd seat officer in terms of speed and the only thing limiting me to this level is the lack of spirit energy that can only be gained once I break through and am able to bolster my reserves. The combination of these two attack styles and my speed leads me to have the perfect assassination build.

With the fighting experience of a Itachi I gained a mastery over misdirection and his superb Genjutsu abilities. The concept of using illusions and mind games to mess with my opponents on the field and have them dancing at the Palm of my hand was too good to pass up.

With byakuya kuchiki came his superb sword fighting technique and elegant demeanor. Not only did I have a front row seat at how to masterfully use my spirit energy to use an extensive amount of kido but I could look elegant while dominating the battlefield. Since I picked an asauchi as my spirit tool I was gonna make sure I had a good foundation so that I was not so reliant on my spirit rings for my combat strength.

the fighting abilities of Neji hyuga paired with my dojutsu granted me the ability to render other spirit masters useless by disturbing the flow of spirit energy through their meridians. this was however reliant on whether i could get close enough to my opponents to make a difference. when you take into account the wide range of abilities granted by spirit rings I won't always be able to get close enough to land decisive blows or restrict my opponents movements by blocking their spirit energy. An example would be the gravity field xiao wus brother the giant ape can produce. If my speed can't be put to use then I need to have a backup plan and be able to fight long range as well.

while I was busy reflecting on my strengths and weaknesses the carriage that would escort Tang San to Nortan academy came into view. I stopped a few feet away from it behind some bushes near the side of the road. with a little quirk of my lips I got ready to use a signature skill that one of my predecessors was fond of using when trying to look unassuming and sneak around with relative ease. I took a moment before gathering the correct amount of spirit energy for the kido I was about to perform. a short chant later and with a shift of fabric I was gone. in my place was a pile of clothes with a small lump inside.

I crawled my way out of my discarded clothes and used my teeth and paws to shove them into a small back pack i had prepared beforehand. I had honestly forgotten that clothes wouldn't be included in the transformation but with a little difficulty i was able to get it all inside before I had to make my way over to the carriage with my backpack.

the first time I ever used my dojutsu was to check the position of the meridians and see if they overlapped with Nejis memories of were the tenketsu were on a ninjas chakra pathways. luckily for me both networks were identical in positioning and i had no need to adjust the hyugas fighting style to this world. i was now about to use my dojutsu for something other than training for the first time since I had gotten here.

with a little effort I was able to drop my backpack into the luggage compartment and use my dojutsu to perfectly conceal it by placing a Genjutsu over the area it occupied. This was childs play with Itachi's skills using the art of illusions. the only reason i could not currently make any grand illusions that amounted to more large scale scenarios was due to my lack in spirit energy reserves since i was held back due to the lack of a spirit ring. this however was not to big of an issue since a great Genjutsu master relies on a more subtle approach that dont need such vast reserves but rather an unbelievable control over the energy used to layer the Illusion and a great mind for detail and visualization that came with itachis templat.

once that was taken care of I climbed on top of the carriage to wait for tang san and old jack to get here for departure. I closed my eyes and prepared to take a nap for the journey ahead.
