Douluo: Crow's Guiding Light

In a world where martial arts reign supreme and the divide between the privileged and the commoners is stark, Sheng Jun, an orphan born into a humble background, grows up ignorant of the ways of combat. Despite his lack of training, he possesses a latent talent that goes unnoticed until fate intervenes in the form of a dying martial master, himself a product of commoner origins. Recognizing Sheng Jun's untapped potential, the master takes him under his wing as his final disciple, passing on his knowledge and skills before drawing his last breath. With the weight of his master's teachings on his shoulders, Sheng Jun vows to use his newfound abilities to challenge the injustices plaguing society, where the powerful oppress the weak. Facing formidable adversaries and daunting obstacles, Sheng Jun's resolve is tested time and again. But with each challenge he overcomes, his determination only grows stronger. Along the way, he gathers allies from all walks of life, united by a shared desire for justice and equality. As Sheng Jun's reputation as a champion of the oppressed and a teacher for all spreads, he draws the attention of those who see him as a threat to their positions. In the end, Sheng Jun's journey culminates in a final showdown with the forces of tyranny that lasts for 30 days, where he is slain due to his only weakness being exposed. He closed his eyes in both regret and satisfaction; regret because he never really had time to enjoy his life, but if given another chance, he would still make the same choices. Still, his last thought was that of satisfaction, knowing that his goals had been accomplished. Little did he know that this was not the end for him, as he opened his eyes in the world of Douluo Dalu. ... I'm writing this fanfic primarily for myself and for those who are interested. The MC will primarily interact with the original main characters of the show, but he will not harbour prejudice against Spirit Hall or hate them in any way without a good reason (obviously since they help common people awaken their martial soul). This is not a harem fanfic, and the MC will not pursue romantic relationships with the original characters. Instead, he will focus on helping them improve in strength and character, particularly Ma Hongjun and Dai Mubai. English is not my first language, so there may be many typos and mistakes. This is also my first book, as I didn't find any Douluo fanfic that suited me, so I decided to write one myself. You can't imagine how unbearable my sister and I feel when reading some fanfics. Of course, some might feel the same about my fanfic, and you're free to have your own opinion, so ignore it if you don't like it. By the way, I have no idea how Chinese names work so if you see a mistake please feel free to comment.

Shrek Academy

At the outskirts of Suotuo City, three figures touched down in front of a shabby village. Sheng Jun and Ma Hongjun couldn't help but stare at the village ahead of them, adorned with a Shrek sign hanging on the gate. After enduring almost nonstop travel for ten days, with only brief breaks for meals and sleep while Flender continued to fly them onward, they had finally arrived at the Shrek Academy. Glancing at each other, they exchanged a look filled with a mixture of yearning and joy.

Flender, noticing their reaction, couldn't help but feel a swell of pride. "Ahem, welcome to Shrek Academy" he announced, his voice tinged with pride. "Don't underestimate it because of its humble appearance. Our Academy is unparalleled when it comes to teaching students. Living in simplicity is part of our training, designed to cultivate humility and discipline in our students"

Sheng Jun and Ma Hongjun nodded in agreement, finding comfort in the familiarity of the village reminiscent of their hometown. "Don't worry, Teacher, we think it's better this way as it reminds us of our village" Ma Hongjun chimed in, echoing his brother's sentiments.

Flender, with a surprised look on his face, couldn't help but burst out laughing at their response. "Now, follow me to the office for registration" he said happily, beckoning them to follow him. As they walked, a few villagers greeted them warmly, welcoming them into both the village and the academy. Their hearts swelled with gratitude at the warm reception, feeling a sense of belonging in their new surroundings.

...

"Come follow me, I will introduce you to the academy staff and members" Flender beckoned after the registration. Leading Sheng Jun and Ma Hongjun outside, they encountered a gathering of people, their expressions puzzled at Flender's call to assemble.

However, as soon as they laid eyes on the two boys following beside Flender, understanding dawned upon them. These newcomers were the reason for the gathering.

As they approached, the activity outside the cafeteria quieted down, all eyes turning towards the newcomers. Among them, a soothing voice cut through the air.

"Dean, are they new students?" A handsome boy with white hair and deep-set peach blossom eyes stepped forward. His demeanor exuded elegance and nobility, instantly catching Sheng Jun and Ma Hongjun's attention.

"That's right, these two are my disciples" Flender declared proudly, gesturing towards Sheng Jun and Ma Hongjun. "The one with white hair and blue eyes is Sheng Jun, possessing a top-tier Martial Soul Corvus and innate full soul power. And the one with long black hair and black eyes is Ma Hongjun, a top-tier Beast-type Evil Fire Phoenix also that of innate full power"

Flender couldn't resist emphasizing the word 'disciple' a hint of pride evident in his voice as he introduced them. "Both are Innate Full Soul Power? Dean, you really are lucky to find two geniuses to scam- ahem recruit this time!" exclaimed the onlookers, their shock and joy palpable. It had been a long time since Shrek Academy had seen such promising students join its ranks.

Flender nodded happily, before turning his attention to the crowd. "Now, let me introduce you to the members of our academy"

As Flender began the introductions, he gestured towards a young boy standing nearby. "This little guy here is Oscar" he said, a fond smile gracing his lips. "At just eight years old, he is already a Level 15 Food-system Spirit Master, making him the first monster of our academy. Oscar also holds the distinction of being the first Auxiliary Food-type Martial Soul in history to be born with innate full soul power"

Oscar blushed slightly at the attention, waving his hands bashfully as Flender introduced him. "It's nothing, really" he muttered modestly, though his eyes sparkled with pride.

Flender continued with the introductions, pointing out each member of the academy.

"This big guy here is Vice Dean Zhao Wuji" he said, indicating a towering figure. "Beast-type Martial Soul Vigorous Vajra Bear, he's also a Level 72 Attack Power System Spirit Saint, with high strength and defense"

Next, Flender's gaze shifted to an old man wearing simple clothing. "This old guy is Li Yusong" he said, nodding towards him. "He possesses a Tool-Type Martial Soul Dragon Pattern Staff and is a Level 63 Spirit Emperor. Li Yusong is usually the first examiner during the recruitment season"

Flender then gestured towards another elderly man. "Another old guy here is Lu Jibin" he said with a chuckle. "He has a Tool-type Martial Soul Star Luo Chess and is a Level 64 Control System Spirit Emperor"

"And then there's me" he said with a grin preparing to show off in front of his disciples. "I am the Dean and the Founder of Shrek Academy. My Beast-type Martial Soul is Owl, and I am a Level 75 Agility Attack System Spirit Saint"

As Sheng Jun and Ma Hongjun gazed at the impressive assembly of individuals before them, they couldn't help but feel a sense of shock and awe. Each person present seemed to be either a first-in-history genius or a formidable Spirit Emperor or Saint. Feeling a bit overwhelmed, they gathered their courage and spoke up.

"Please take care of us from now on!" Sheng Jun exclaimed loudly, his voice filled with earnestness and determination.

Ma Hongjun echoed his brother's sentiment, his voice carrying the same sense of respect and determination. "Yes, we look forward to learning from all of you" he added, his eyes shining with excitement.

After a moment, Flender interrupted the exchange by handing them something. "This is the cultivation technique that we all use to increase our soul power" he explained. "It can also aid us in handling the soul power in our bodies. Learn it by today; we will depart towards the Soul Hunting Forest tomorrow. You will need it when you get your first spirit rings"

As Flender prepared to dismiss everyone except Oscar, who would assist Sheng Jun and Ma Hongjun in getting familiar with the facilities and settling into their dorms, a voice suddenly caught his attention from behind.

Why did the chicken cross the road? Well, I don't know either. Anyways, thanks for reading!
