Awakening 2

" I must awaken today " Xyrax said as he hurriedly rushed to take his bath, " Do fast you waste of space, there is a line " said fatso the slum bully. Xyrax walked out of the cave and glared at fatso who smacked him hard on his butt " Hey i am not one of your whores " i immediately wear my clothes and rush off to the guild hall.

Today is the day of awakening where children would go through a process and come out stronger either magically or technologically whichever one you desire. I run up the hill as the guild decided that they must have their HQ up the hill.

On getting there i see kids of all ages, well not all ages as my age was clearly not there. I am 14 years of age and the awakening for the past 100 years has only been done for ages 5 to 13 as it is believed that once you are above 13 you can only become a slave warrior. I have been coming for this ceremony since i was 6 but not once have i unlocked magic or becone technologically inclined, instead i have just built up my strength physically. I look around and notice that we are in some kind of dome and on the inside we are surrounded by twelve people that seem to either be floating normally or on flat circular surfaces. " AARRRGH! " my head snaps to the right.

" What happened, someone call the light mage " one of the kids shout out, "is that a Grand magus?" someone points at a robed figure before they notice the remaining 11, meanwhile i am in hell.
