Episode 5 - Survivors of Harral

A blue Spaceship flies through space.

Large laser bullets are fired toward the Spaceship.

Another Spaceship then appears behind the blue Spaceship, this ship is brown and has a skull and bones symbol on its side.

Onboard the blue Spaceship, a man sits piloting the ship.

Another man runs into the cockpit and says "Sharrel! They're right behind us!".

Sharrel nods "I know, hold on Jarrel!".

Jarrel grabs onto a handrail, holding on.

Sharrel says "The Drega aren't giving up!".

Jarrel sighs "We have to protect the passengers".

Sharrel nods at him "And we will-".

Another blast hits Sharrel's ship, causing the cockpit to lose power.

Jarrel stares in shock "No! What's happening?".

Sharrel says "The ship is dead, we've lost power...the Drega can board us!".

Jarrel looks over nervously "What do we do?".

Sharrel closes his eyes and says "We pray".

Jarrel closes his eyes too, praying.

Back in space, the brown Spaceship starts moving closer and closer to Sharrel's ship.

The Tardis starts to materialise inside a Spaceship.

The Doctor then steps out of the Tardis and he points his Sonic Screwdriver.

Kristen steps out, closes the Tardis door behind her, and says "So, getting anything?".

The Doctor says "This ship has lost a lot of power, and by the looks of things, it's been under attack".

Kristen nods at him "Any lifeforms?".

The Doctor nods at her, as he then looks back down at his sonic and says "Yeah, getting readings of about twenty thousand lifeforms onboard".

Kristen looks around, almost unsure and she says "I'm no genius, but where is everyone then?".

The Doctor looks around and says "Yeah, that's a good question...where's Kathy?".

Kathy then steps out of the Tardis.

Kathy says "I'm here, sorry...got lost on my way back from the swimming pool".

The Doctor nods at her "Told you it was like a maze trying to find it".

The Doctor points his Sonic Screwdriver again.

The Doctor says "Alright then, come on, the cockpit is this way".

Kathy and Kristen follow The Doctor.

Walking through the ship, The Doctor starts to see writing on one of the walls.

The Doctor looks at it and says "Floor Cleared".

Kathy says "What does that mean?".

Grunting is then heard coming from behind them.

The Doctor says "I think we should maybe hide, come on!".

Running along the hallway, The Doctor finds a room.

The Doctor zaps the door with his Sonic and the door opens.

Kathy and Kristen run into the room.

The Doctor turns around again, seeing a shadow moving closer, and grunting still being heard.

The Doctor then runs into the room.

As The Doctor closes the door, he turns around, having a gun pointed at his head.

The Doctor looks up at Jarrel.

Sharrel holds another gun, pointing it at Kathy and Kristen.

Sharrel says "Who are you people?".

The Doctor looks at the two people and says "Hold on, you're Harralians? From Harral?".

Jarrel nods at him "And?".

The Doctor smiles "I met your people a long time ago, I saved your planet from an invasion of the Axons...a long time ago-".

Sharrel says "My planet? How's that possible? Our planet was nuked years ago, it's been full of radiation for generations. Me and Jarrel, we're driving the cargo back to the planet, as the radiation has only now become survivable-".

Kathy says "When you say cargo-".

Jarrel nods "The survivors".

Sharrel says "Who are you people?".

The Doctor says "No lies this time, only because I like you people...I'm The Doctor, that's Kathy and Kristen. We travel in time and space, you sent us a distress call, by the looks of things it was probably a telepathic distress call, caught by my ship, but we came to save you, to help you-".

Jarrel nods "We prayed".

The Doctor smiles "You prayed we came".

Kristen looks at the door and says "What's that thing outside?".

Sharrel sighs "The Drega-".

The Doctor shakes his head "No".

Kathy looks at The Doctor "Is that bad?".

The Doctor puts his hand on his head, rubbing his head nervously.

The Doctor says "The Drega are scavengers, like pirates...they take and they take. What could they be after on your ship?".

Sharrel says "The technology. Our people are currently in cryogenic sleep until we get back to Harral".

The Doctor nods "My people attempted to create a cryogenic ship before, it's hard to do, only a few races have ever succeded...so, The Drega, they want your ship for its cryogenic technology, but your people are in them...right, okay...no pressure then, a whole race to save".

Banging is heard coming from the door.

The Doctor turns around, looking at the door.

The Doctor says "Is there a way out of here?".

Sharrel nods at him "Yeah, the escape hatch, takes us to the storage area".

The Doctor nods "Let's move then".

Sharrel and Jarrel unlock the hatch.

Kathy and Kristen crawl through the hatch first, followed by Jarrel.

Sharrel looks up at The Doctor.

The Doctor watches as the door then breaks down.

Sharrel stares in shock.

A Drega storms inside holding a large knife.

The Doctor says "Hello there, you're a Drega, aren't you?".

The Drega then removes its helmet, revealing a creature that looks like a lizard.

The Drega says "You know our race?".

The Doctor nods at it and says "I met you, once, many years ago, during the Time War. Only briefly, but you saved me, I was nearly dying, and Daleks had me cornered...but your people came to my rescue, saved me, and in return wanted to use the dead Daleks and use their metal bodies".

The Drega then says "That was then, this is now...now, we'll kill you too-".

The Drega tightens its grip on the knife, and it goes to attack The Doctor, but Sharrel grabs The Doctor's arm, pulling him away.

The Doctor nods at Sharrel "Thank you!".

Sharrel nods at him "Come on, go!".

The Doctor and Sharrel run into the hatch, dropping down, and crawling through.

Sharrel then closes the hatch behind him, locking it.

The Drega then shouts "I WILL FIND YOU, HARRALIAN SCUMS!"

Down in the storage area, Kathy stands waiting with Kristen and Jarrel.

Kathy looks at Jarrel "So, how come there's just the two of you awake?".

Jarrel says "Everyone two hundred years two random cryogenic pods open, our mission being to continue the journey back home".

Kristen looks at him and says "Two hundred years?".

Jarrel nods "Our lifespan is about three hundred".

Kristen stares in shock "Wow"

Kathy looks around and says "Is there anything down here in the warehouse that we could use against the Drega?".

Jarrel shakes his head "Unfortunately not".

The Doctor and Sharrel then appear.

The Doctor says "Come on, I think I've just made enemies with the Drega".

Kathy sighs "What did you do this time?".

The Doctor smirks "You don't wanna know, come on".

Further in the warehouse are items covered up.

Kristen walks over to one and she says "What's inside?".

Sharrel looks at her "They're ancient valuable historical stuff from our home".

Kathy says "Anything that could help us stop the Drega?".

Jarrel steps forward "No way! It's off-limits to everyone, even ourselves!".

The Doctor then says "What if one of these items could save every single thing onboard this ship?".

Jarrel stares at him "But-".

Kathy nods "The Doctor's right, there has to be a time when you have to ignore the rules".

Sharrel smiles at Kathy "You're right".

The Doctor nods at him "So? Anything that could help us?".

A few floors above them, a group of Dregas stand together.

A Drega then walks over to them and says "We have survivors onboard, I've seen two, but believe there could be more...one of them is a Timelord!".

Another Drega says "Timelord! The vermin must be removed! Find the survivors! KILL THEM ALL!".

The Drega all start to cheer.

Down in the warehouse, everyone stands near different artifacts.

The Doctor stands with Sharrel and Kristen, whilst Kathy stands with Jarrel.

The Doctor pulls off a cover, revealing something that looks like a gun.

Kristen looks at the item and says "Is that a gun?".

The Doctor shakes his head "Oh, no, no, no! It's a...oh what is it, think Doctor-".

Kristen turns to Sharrel "So, how far are you from your actual planet then?".

Sharrel smiles "Actually, only a few hours away, I can't wait to drop everyone off at home, then go and see the stars".

Kristen says "Wait, what?".

Sharrel nods at her "I've spent the last five years flying this ship to Harral, my life was to fly, I don't wanna just stay put, I wanna see what else is out there, I can use this ship to take me wherever I want".

Kristen smiles at him "Well, me and Kathy, we travel with The Doctor, maybe you could...you know, join-".

The Doctor then shouts "THAT'S IT! It's a Cryo-Save Gun".

Kristen stares at her and says "What's that?".

The Doctor says "It saves lives, locking them into cryogenic pods, saving them. This gun was designed as a teleporter to save people".

Sharrel nods at them "Yeah, so not of much use-".

The Doctor tilts his head and says "Well, actually".

Kristen says "What?"

The Doctor picks up the Cryo-Save Gun.

Over with Kathy and Jarrel, they look at another object.

Jarrel then pulls the cover off, revealing a long spear.

Jarrel smiles "This will come in handy".

Kathy says "The Doctor might not approve, he doesn't like weapons".

Jarrel picks up the spear.

Kathy then pulls out her phone and looks down at a text message from Brian.

Kathy then sighs.

Jarrel looks up, looking at Kathy, and says "You okay?".

Kathy smiles "Yeah, I actually am...it's just, I met someone, called Brian, and he's different to other guys I've met, but I'm scared, scared to fall for him after how the last two guys I dated both died".

Jarrel says "You can't blame yourself, you have to live your life, you only get one".

Kathy nods at him "I know, but both of our lives are so complicated, I travel with The Doctor stopping aliens and saving people, and he works for an organisation that fights aliens, I mean...really, we couldn't be a better match".

Jarrel smiles at Kathy.

The Doctor then walks over with Sharrel and Kristen.

Kathy says "What is that?".

The Doctor smiles "A Cryo-Save gun".

Kathy smirks at him "Why do you look like an excited schoolboy?".

The Doctor laughs at her "Because I get to shoot things without killing them".

Sharrel then steps forward and says "Hold on, sounds like you have a plan then?".

The Doctor nods at him "Of course I have a plan, didn't I tell you it?".

Kristen crosses her arms and says "No you didn't".

The Doctor then smiles at them.

A few floors above them, the group of Dregas walks together, searching the ship.

Back down below, The Doctor stands near a whiteboard, he's drawn out the entire plan, and he holds a pen in his hand, he then points to the whiteboard and he says "So, Kathy and Jarrel, you two are going to go up the left side of the ship, gather as many Drega as you can, luring them over to the right side of the ship. Kristen, you and Sharrel are taking the left side, you are doing exactly the same thing, you gather up as many Drega as you can, and take them to the left side, what I hope to do is have the two groups of Drega clash into one, then I can open fire on them with the Cryo-Save gun".

Jarrel looks at him "And why did you need a whiteboard to explain that?".

The Doctor laughs "Because it's fun. Right! Everyone knows what they're doing?".

Everyone stands around him and they nod.

The Doctor then holds the Cryo-Save gun and says "Let's go bust some pirates".

Kathy closes her eyes, she's embarrassed, and she then says "Please never say that again".

The Doctor nods at her "Noted, let's go".

The Doctor runs over to the hatch, climbing back up of it.

Kristen and Sharrel walk together, heading for the right side of the ship.

Kathy and Jarrel walk together, Jarrel holds the spear, and the two of them head for the left side of the ship.

Kristen and Sharrel walk together.

Sharrel says "So, this Doctor, who is he?".

Kristen smiles "I don't really know, I know he's an alien, well...to me he's an alien. But he's an incredible person. Me and Kathy, we're both humans from Earth. I don't even know much about the Doctor, actually...nothing-".

Kristen looks at Sharrel nervously.

Sharrel says "Well, you must feel safe enough then? And you must enjoy the travelling?".

Kristen laughs "Yeah, I love it, I must admit, this is the first proper spaceship I've ever been in, and I am loving it!".

Sharrel laughs at her "Well, I'm glad to accommodate".

Kristen then turns around a corner, where she comes face to face with a Drega.

The Drega then says "FILTHY SCUM! I WILL KILL YOU!".

Kristen stares in shock.

Sharrel then grabs Kristen's hand, pulling her.

The Drega then shouts "THIS WAY! I'VE FOUND THEM!".

As Kristen and Sharrel run, The Dregas follow behind them

Sharrel then says "I really hope Jarrel and Kathy are nearby".

On the other side of the ship, Kathy and Jarrel walk together.

Kathy says "What do you plan on doing when you get to Harral?".

Jarrel says "Well, we need to rebuild, we need to begin again. I don't know, we need to elect a leader I think".

Kathy nods "What about you?".

Jarrel shakes his head "I don't know, I'm not sure if people would wanna follow me".

Kathy smirks at him "Then don't give them that choice, tell them, tell them with authority".

Jarrel looks at Kathy.

A Drega then comes out of nowhere, swinging its knife.

Jarrel swings his spear, defending Kathy.

Kathy looks at Jarrel and nods at him "Thanks!".

Jarrel then smacks the knife out of the Dregas hand.

Kathy looks over at some more Drega and she shouts "HEY, OVER HERE".

All the other Dregas start running towards them.

Kathy and Jarrel start to run away and towards the other side of the ship.

Suddenly, Kathy then bumps into Kristen.

Kristen hugs Kathy.

Sharrel and Jarrel stand together, and two groups of Dregas collide into one.

Kathy, Kristen, Sharrel, and Jarrel step back.

The Dregas storm towards them holding their knives.

But the Doctor then runs out, pointing the Cryo-Save gun, shooting all of the Dregas.

One by one, the Dregas start to vanish.

Kristen shakes her head "But where are they?".

The Doctor says "In cryogenic sleep, where they'll remain, forever!".

Sharrel smiles "You saved us, my species, thank you!".

The Doctor then smiles at Sharrel.

The Doctor looks around and then says "Best we get this ship moving again".

In the cockpit, Sharrel sits at the seat, holding onto the ship's controls.

The Doctor then points his Sonic Screwdriver at the control panel, reactivating the power.

Outside, in space, the ship starts to light back up again.

Inside the cockpit, Sharrel holds onto a speaker and he talks through it "Everyone hold on tight, we'll reach Harral in two hours".

The Doctor then steps backward and says "Right, time to make sure the Drega are locked inside their pods forever".

In the middle of the ship, Kathy stands with Kristen and Jarrel, and they're smiling.

The wind howls on Harral, remnants of what the planet used to remain, with some buildings still on show.

The Spaceship starts to descend down onto the planet.

Onboard the ship, The Doctor looks at Sharrel and says "Go on, do the honors, I've deadlocked the Drega's pods, there's wont be opened".

Sharrel looks at the button that says 'Wake Cryogenic Passengers'.

Sharrel then smiles, he presses the button, activating it.

Outside, the ship's doors open, as thousands of people start to walk out onto their planet.

Lastly, The Doctor walks out with Sharrel, Jarrel, Kristen, and Kathy.

The Doctor smiles, and everyone is cheering.

The Doctor then looks at Jarrel "You know, these people are gonna need a leader, someone to lead them into a new age".

Jarrel nods at him "I know, I think Sharrel will do a great job".

Sharrel shakes his head "I'm not staying, I think you should, you've earned it".

Jarrel smiles at him "Are you sure you won't stay?".

Sharrel nods at him "I'm sure".

Jarrel then steps forward, looking at everyone and he says "PEOPLE, TODAY IS A DAY OF FREEDOM, NOW EMBARK ON A NEW JOURNEY, JOURNEY OF RESTORATION, IT WON'T BE EASY, BUT IT WILL BE REWARDING, TODAY STARTS THE DAY WE REBUILD OUR HOME AND TAKE OUR PLACE BACK IN THE UNIVERSE".

Everyone starts cheering at him.

Kristen turns her head, looking at Sharrel "So, what's next for you?".

Sharrel smiles "As I said earlier, I wanna go back out there, see what's out there for me, and after today, I've realised that I can probably do some good out there too, helping people, saving planets, just like you guys do".

Kristen turns to the Doctor and he budges him, The Doctor looks at her, and Kristen then stares at him.

The Doctor then coughs "Uh, well...I suppose you could come with us if you wanted? I mean we have space".

Sharrel smiles at him "Really?".

The Doctor smiles "Yeah, why not, it's more fun when there's more of you, trust me, you don't wanna travel alone, it changes you".

Sharrel nods at him "Alright then, yeah!".

Kathy smiles at him.

The Doctor starts walking back onto the ship and says "Let's go get the Tardis".

Back onboard the ship, The Doctor walks up to the Tardis.

Sharrel then smiles "Are we all gonna fit inside?".

The Doctor laughs "Just wait a minute-".

The Doctor pushes the Tardis doors open.

Sharrel's eyes widen in shock.

Sharrel steps into the Tardis, spinning around, looking at the size.

The Doctor then walks in, and so does Kristen.

Kathy then walks in, shutting the door behind her.

Sharrel shakes his head "But, this...it's-".

The Doctor nods at him "It's?"

Sharrel laughs "Ridiculous".

The Doctor sighs "I like when you say it's bigger on the inside, it's the most popular line".

The Doctor runs up to the console and says "Right then, where next?".

Kathy walks up to the console and flicks a lever and says "Random destination?".

The Doctor laughs at her "Yeah, I'm liking the sound of that".

The Doctor pulls the lever and the time rotor moves.

The Tardis flies through the vortex.

Next Time - The Mystery on Irvoo - The Doctor follows a distress call, leading him toward the planet Irvoo, a planet that even The Doctor has unheard of. As the four of them search the planet, The Doctor soon meets an old friend, who he had thought dead. But she needs his help.
