Episode 5 - The Stenza War - Part 2

In front of a camera, Kate Stewart sits holding a script, Kate then sighs and she looks up, and says "I'm ready-".

A man then says "we're on air in, five, four, three, two, one-". The man then nods.

Kate Stewart looks up and says "hello, this is a message to the world, my name is Katherine Sally Lethbridge-Stewart, I am the Chief Scientific Officer at the Unified Intelligence Taskforce, also known as UNIT, we are the last hope for human-kind, after police, after the army, even after Torchwood. I am here today, on behalf of the president of the world, to deliver this message, Earth has fallen, Earth now belongs to The Stenza and its leader...Tzim-Sha".

The Doctor sits on the steps inside the Tardis.

Yasmine stands near the doors, her head against the door.

Yasmine then turns around with tears in her eyes "are my family-" Yasmine looks at The Doctor.

The Doctor looks at Yasmine and says "I don't know" Yasmine stares at The Doctor "is the planet?" The Doctor sighs and shouts "I DON'T KNOW".

Yasmine nods and she turns around.

The Doctor sighs and she stands up "Yaz?" Yasmine then turns back around, a tear rolls down her face and she says "look, I know you're trying to figure something out, but people are dying, we have to do something, now" The Doctor nods at her "and we will, I just need a moment to think" Yasmine then shouts "WE DON'T HAVE TIME TO THINK, WE JUST DO SOMETHING" The Doctor looks at Yasmine and says "what if doing that one thing gets you killed?" Yasmine nods "to save the world, I'd do that" The Doctor stares at Yasmine and says "then you've been with me for too long, and maybe you should stay here" Yasmine looks to the floor "I just don't want anyone to die, this is our fault!" The Doctor shakes her head "it's my fault, Graham wanted to...kill him, maybe I should've-" Yasmine shakes her head "it's not your fault, you didn't know" The Doctor nods at her "let's go find Kate, maybe she can help us" Yasmine nods at her.

The Tardis materialises in the UNIT Outpost.

The Doctor and Yasmine walk out and they see Kate up ahead.

Kate walks over and she says "Doctor, the world is in chaos, we're already looking at a body count of maybe over a thousand, it's around the world" The Doctor nods "what's UNIT doing about it?" Kate says "our best, we've already got a confirmed death count of fifty UNIT soldiers, Doctor" The Doctor nods "keep the fight up, we'll do something" Yasmine nods "but what?" The Doctor says "the one person who can stop all of this" Yasmine nods at her "Tzim-Sha?" The Doctor looks at Yasmine and says "no more games Yaz, let's find him, and stop this" Kate says "Doctor, I've alerted the world about what's happened, Earth probably has hours before we're all dead" The Doctor nods at her "when we find him, we'll give you a location to fire on, you kill the leader, the army will flee" Kate nods "I hope so, this our only option now" The Doctor nods.

The Doctor goes running off until she turns around and says to Kate "also, one thing I need...there's a man out there...I need you to find him" Kate nods at her "I'll send a team".

Back in the Tardis, The Doctor stands flying the Tardis.

Yasmine stands watching from a distance and says "so we're gonna kill Tzim-Sha?" The Doctor nods "yeah, we have to...twice he's survived, gotten away, and tried to kill us, but now the planet-" Yasmine nods "but, you don't kill" The Doctor nods a her "you think that? You don't think in all the years, all the lives I've had that I haven't killed? Yaz, I fought in a war, it did end up being rewritten a little bit, but I fought a war, a Time War, and killed so many people to protect my planet, I've killed people to protect my friends, I hate it, I don't wanna kill, all life is precious, all life deserves a chance, he's had a chance, multiple...I'm giving him one more, but this is the final one, his decision now decides his future" Yasmine looks at The Doctor "whether he lives or dies".

The Tardis lands inside the main Stenza Ship.

Inside the ship, alarms are blearing off, and a Stenza Warrior speaks through a microphone saying "UNAUTHORISED PRESENCE ONBOARD, FIND THEM! KILL THEM!".

The Doctor and Yasmine walk out of the Tardis, The Doctor looks at Yasmine and says "they aren't very nice hosts now, are they?".

Walking through the ship, Yasmine says "how do we find him?" The Doctor says "he finds us, I'm done with chasing people, they can come to us".

Back at UNIT, Kate sits at a desk looking at the phone. Kate then sighs and says "come on Doctor".

The Doctor walks through a small doorway and she helps Yasmine through.

The Doctor then turns around, until she is faced with a Stenza.

The Doctor smiles "ah! There you are, now...take me to your leader!".

Inside the Stenza Command Center, The Doctor walks in with Yasmine.

Tzim-Sha stands there looking angrily at The Doctor and says "hello again, Doctor".

The Doctor then says "just the man I'm looking for...Tim Shaw!" Tzim-Sha growls at her and says "Tzim-Sha. What do you want Doctor? To beg for mercy? To beg for forgiveness?" The Doctor says "I'm not begging for anything, I'm here to give you one simple choice...leave, or I will stop you" Tzim-Sha laughs "you dare to threaten the Stenza army?" The Doctor nods at him and says "I'm doing more than a threat now, you've harmed me and mates too many times! Killed too many people, this is not just a warning, it's a promise, if you don't leave, then UNIT will shoot your ship down, killing you and your army, and leaving the rest to run off!" Tzim-Sha says "why should I trust a single word you say, Doctor?" Yasmine says "because it's the truth, and I'm not sure what's gonna happen, but if she doesn't, and if she doesn't stop you, I will! My family are down there, in Sheffield...my mum, dad, sister...nana. I'll die to protect them, so if she doesn't, I will...so listen to her, leave!" The Doctor nods at Yasmine.

Outside, in the streets of Sheffield, Stenza Warriors run down streets shooting people.

Behind a tree, Graham O'Brien then appears and says "Stenza...it can't be!".

A Stenza then turns around and looks at Graham and says "you are Graham O'Brien?" Graham looks at the Stenza and nods "yeah? What about it?" the Stenza says "you are wanted by the leader of Stenza-".

Suddenly, a UNIT van screeches around the corner, and towards Graham.

Graham looks at the UNIT van, as soldiers run out of the van and then shoot the Stenza warrior.

A man steps forward and says "Graham? You're needed at UNIT" Graham says "UNIT? What the hell is that?" the man says "The Doctor wants you" Graham nods at the man.

The Doctor stands looking at Tzim-Sha and she says "so? What's your decision?".

Tzim-Sha walks, pacing the room and he says "I will not be made a mockery again! NOT AGAIN!" The Doctor says "you don't have an option unless you want to be stopped?" Tzim-Sha says "I don't think the human race has the power to shoot down my ship!" The Doctor says "they've shot down ships much bigger than yours before, or I can call Torchwood, do you remember The Sycorax attack on Christmas about twelve years ago? They shot down their mothership, so there's a second option".

Tzim-Sha stares at The Doctor "then I'm just going to have to kill as many people as I can before we're shot down...including you!".

The Doctor watches as Stenza warriors start coming towards them.

The Doctor then points her Sonic Screwdriver and she says "I'm sorry".

The Doctor presses the button, activating the Sonic Screwdriver.

The Doctor turns around and grabs Yaz's hand and says "Yaz! RUN!".

Back at UNIT, Kate stands up from her desk and she says "WE HAVE A LOCK, FIRE!".

Running through the ship, The Doctor and Yasmine run together, and towards the Tardis.

Suddenly, a massive beam fires into the Stenza Command Ship.

Tzim-Sha then screams "NO!".

A massive explosion goes off, and the command ship turns into dust.

All around, the other Stenza's start to disappear, and their ships start to leave Earth.

Kate runs outside and she looks at the sky and smiles.

Graham runs over to Kate and says "where's the Doc? What happened to the Stenza?" Kate looks at him and says "Graham O'Brien?" Graham nods at her.

The Tardis then starts to materialise.

Graham turns around and smiles "I've missed this".

The Doctor and Yasmine walk out of the Tardis.

Yasmine smiles "Graham!".

The Doctor smiles.

Graham says "Doc? What happened to the Stenza?" The Doctor says "we had no choice this time, we had to stop them, they had far too many chances" Graham nods at her "and Tzim-Sha?" The Doctor nods at him "he's gone too".

A beam then lands beside Graham, and it's revealed to be Tzim-Sha. Tzim-Sha says "I won't die this easy, Doctor!".

Graham steps away and says "it is him" Tzim-Sha looks at Graham angrily "you! You were the one who locked me away!" Graham sighs "because you killed my wife" Tzim-Sha smiles "with no regret".

The Doctor says "your people are gone now, leave...you shouldn't even have this choice, but I'm giving it to you, go now" Tzim-Sha says "my people now see me as a weak leader, I can never return" The Doctor says "you should've thought about that before coming here" Tziz-Sha says "then I might as well take out some of biggest enemies before I die!".

Tzim-Sha points his hand up, and electrical-freeze sparks come from his hand.

Graham says "I won't let you kill anyone else!" Tzim-Sha says "I'm starting with you-".

Tzim-Sha steps forward to kill Graham, until a gunshot goes off.

Tzim-Sha looks down at a bullet in his chest and he looks up, and sees Kate holding her handgun.

Kate says "today, you fall!".

Tzim-Sha then falls to the floor dead.

Graham looks at Kate "thank you" The Doctor nods at her "yeah, thanks".

Yasmine says "what happens now?" Kate says "we'll take his body for analysis" The Doctor nods "we'd better be going, make sure The Stenza aren't coming back".

A moment later, Kate walks away leaving The Doctor, Yasmine, and Graham standing near the Tardis.

The Doctor smiles at Graham "well, it's over now, he's gone" Graham nods at her "yeah, listen Doc, since me and Ryan left, things have been crazy here, we've stopped so many things from attacking the Earth, we love it. I just wanted to say thank you, for keeping us safe, and for everything you did for us" The Doctor smiles at him "you're welcome, see you later Graham".

The Doctor steps into the Tardis.

Yasmine hugs Graham and she says "it's nice to see you again, you never know, maybe you can join us back on the Tardis someday?" Graham says "Yaz, trust me, after seeing everything, and after coming back home, you see this planet in a whole new perspective, maybe you should join us someday" Yasmine smiles "not yet, see you".

Yasmine walks into the Tardis.

The Doctor walks over to the console and she says "oh, hold on...what's this?".

Yasmine walks over to the console and she says "what is it?" The Doctor says "a message, but nobody messages me...other than Mister Winston Churchill, but that's only on Tuesdays-" Yasmine smiles.

The Doctor then looks down at the console and she says "Earth, twenty-twenty three! They're in serious danger Yaz! We've gotta go and help them".

Yaz nods at her "Alright, let's go then".

Next Time - The Last Day - Back on Earth, The 3rd Doctor returns, where he finds Jo Grant, as many years have gone bye, the two reflect on their time together, but the past catches up when a deadly race arrives on Earth wanting to destroy the planet.
