Seojin got out of his car and headed inside, finding his parents on the couch. His mom laying on his father's lap as they watched a new drama called Big Mouth, on Disney+. They were hard-core fans of both the main lead actor Lee Jong-Suk and the lead actress and idol YoonA, who is part of their favorite girl group Girls Generation. So, when they heard that they were making a drama together and it would be a criminal with mystery one, they got hooked up on it.

"Honey," his mother said to his father, without noticing his presence. "I'm telling you, Miho will end up being Big Mouth. It's his wife, believe me!"

But her husband had his theories. "No way. I think it's Jerry. He has everything to be Big Mouse. He's just pretending to be stupid and innocent. It's clearly him. And he has that tattoo of a mouse on his wrist. Not to mention that he's the one who instigated the gambling that made Changho get in more trouble!"

"It's Changho!" Seojin exclaimed convicted, scaring his parents who hadn't noticed him there. "Imagine the plot twist of him pretending to be innocent and framed when he's the mastermind behind all of that! Not to mention that both Miho and Jerry would be obvious choices, as well as the Mayor. It's still in the beginning and everybody is sure it's either one of those three. But I bet it's going to be Changho!"

His mother got up and came to him, then held his face in her hands. She's a tall woman with 1,75 meters, but still short in front of him or his dad. "What happened? You look unwell, son!"

"Your pale," his dad pointed.

"I am pale!" Seojin mocked and sighed. "I'm just in shock..."

"What happened, darling? Tell me," his mother took his hand and sat him on the couch, then each of them sat on one of his sides. "What shocked you?"

He passed his fingers through his hair. "I..." He looked up to his mom, then to his dad, and got back to staring at nothing. "I think you have a grandson!" [They will kill me!]

Seojin waited for an explosive reaction from any of his parents, but nothing happened. They stared at each other than at his son. And his dad spoke first, "We... hm... we kind of knew! That day when the Choi daughters came back, we saw a kid who looked identical to you, but red-haired. Your mother asked him who he was and he told her that he was Choi Taeyoung, Aeri's son."

"That's why we asked you if you had slept with her years ago!" His mom sighed. "I would have told you right away, but your dad asked me not to butt in. Thank God it didn't take long for you to see the child and realize that on your own."

He was too stunned to speak. "Why are you so calm? It's scarier than when you guys freak out!"

His dad giggled at that. "Believe me, son, we freaked out for almost the entire week. However, we couldn't think why she hid it from you if it's yours. So, we decided to wait until you knew about it, to explain what exactly happened between you two!"

[Oh, dear. Mom's going to kill me!] He closed his eyes and inhaled deeply. Then, he told them their story, not hiding anything from them. And this time, his parents seemed mad.

"I always told you that whore who bewitched you, would bring chaos into your life, Park Seojin!" His dad exclaimed. "But no! You even fought us to date that lowlife!"

His mom seemed disappointed. "To think the Choi girl loved you! Tsk, tsk, tsk. How could you be so dumb when your IQ is so high, Park Seojin? And you know what? I would have done the same as she did if that had happened to me!" She yelled at him, and he flinched. "Great. You broke the girl's heart, and she ran away with my grandson," she slapped his shoulder.

"You should have taken responsibility for your actions, Park Seojin!" His dad yelled again. "Marriage. You have to marry her! You took the girl's virginity and got her pregnant. And she's part of the Choi family at that... God, what a mess."

"Don't you dare to take the boy from Aeri and not marry her, Park Seojin! If you do that, I won't allow you to call me mother ever again," she threatened him and he felt offended.

[Seriously? Does she think I would ever do that?] He turned to face her. "You know me better than that, mom. I would never do that. And believe me, I have feelings for her. Why do you think I never dated since then, neither have I even slept with anyone or gone on any of your stupid blind dates, hm? Because she got under my skin."

"She got underway more than just your skin," his mother mocked, making him blush.

"I'm serious, mom! But it's not that simple. I can't order her to marry me after hurting her like that, just using the excuse of taking responsibility for what we did, and for having a kid with her. Not after she stayed away for 8 years. She won't accept it, I know she won't!" [This is so frustrating!] "Besides, I need to have concrete proof that I am the boy's father."

That was enough to soften the elder couple. "Alright, let's not be reckless," his dad exclaimed.

"Then we need a DNA test!" He agreed with his mother. "That will prove that he's your son! If just looking at you and then at him and seeing you are identical won't be enough!"

[We are not THAT identical, because he does have some features from Aeri, but it's mainly me!] "I'm planning on getting that. However, it'll be hard. I can't go and just take the boy's hair like that. And there's also the problem of him not wanting to know who his father is because he heard of how he... I mean... hm, me... he heard of how I broke her heart. So, even though he is smart and adorable, and kind with me now, the second he learns I'm his dad, he'll get pissed at me for hurting her before."

His parents seemed concerned. "Then, you will need to get the girl, then your son!" His dad pointed.

"If he sees that she's with you, he won't oppose it, will he?" His mom asked, feeling devastated.

"I guess not!" [Damn, I feel terrible for making my parents feel like this. After all, they always dreamed of having grandchildren. And now that they discovered that they do, they can't even take care and spend time with my son.] "I can't believe I have a son," I muttered and mother hugged me. "A smartass son at that," he giggled.

"Do you think he'll love us like he loves Aeri's parents?" He felt hurt when he realized the insecurity in his mom's voice and his dad's face.

"He'll love you both, I'm sure. I told him you were a writer of fantasy and he got so excited. It seems like he took his mother's love for reading. I even promised him to give him one of your books signed for him, when we meet again!" And just like that, she began crying like a baby.

Her husband came to her side and hugged her. While Seojin held her hand, feeling a little helpless. [This is frustrating, for fuck's sake!]

After a while, still sobbing, she turned to him, "But how did you meet him alone?"

"Well, basically, Taeyoung called me after Sunghae gave him my number, and requested a meeting with me," he giggled remembering that. "You should have seen that. He was a total businessman, in small size and underaged, but still. Then, he lied saying that he was Jiah's son, but that he wanted to act as a matchmaker for me and Aeri, once he thought I could be worthy. After that, he proceeded to interrogate me with lots of things!"

His dad chuckled. "That sound familiar!" The old man muttered. "You used to do that a lot."

"Right? Anyways, he wrote everything in his notebook and evaluated me. He was so serious doing that, and it was cute. In the end, he came to the obvious conclusion. I'm perfect," his mom scoffed.

"Your flaw is that you are blinded by your ego," she slapped her husband's shoulder. "Like your dad!" Then she turned to her son again. "What else?"

[I'm glad they are feeling better now.] "He decided that he'll try getting me together with her. And he said it'll all depend if I'm able to make her feel something for me, or not. If that doesn't happen, he said that my perfection would be useless!"

"My grandson is such a gem," his mom exclaimed with her hands on her cheeks. "I'll prepare the book for you to give him. Keep it with you at all hours, so, if you accidentally meet your son again, you will have it to give to him, and keep your promise!"

Before he said anything, she ran like a kid, going to her office and locking the door. Both Seojin and his dad stared at where she went. Then back to each other. "You have to win your girl back, Park Seojin!" His dad's voice was serious like never before. "Find a way to get the DNA test done. Get the girl back. Win your son's heart. Bring both our future daughter-in-law, and our grandson to us!"

"I will!"

His dad held his face in his two hands. "Don't you dare to mess things up this time, son!"
