Two days later, Mu Hanxia received a call from Meng Gang in the middle of the night.

He said, "Mu Hanxia, I listened to your manager's report overnight and agree that you can source lychees directly from Hainan."

Mu Hanxia answered, "Okay."

"The specifics will be communicated to you by the manager."

"All right."

There was silence on the phone for a while, as if both had nothing to say. Sitting on the bed, Mu Hanxia raised her head and looked out the window at the particularly dark sky, which was like a boundless deep pool that would not brighten for several more hours.

"You always surprise me," Meng Gang said.

Mu Hanxia suddenly smiled silently and said, "Director Meng, if there's nothing else, I'll hang up first."

"Wait a moment," his voice was a bit hoarse in the deep night, "once this matter is settled, come back to my side."
