Chapter 35 Clue To Shadow Space

Oliver stood from the chair he was sitting on, and he felt his stomach rumble lightly, he was forced to look at his hand he remembered that he was holding the remaining fifteen mortal-grade Dao crystals before he was sent to the shadow space but now there was nothing in his hand and he was hungry, tired for staying in place and not eating for close to nine days.

He look at his hand not having a clue of what happened to the mortal grade Dao crystal he was holding "Why can't I find my Dao crystals, what is wrong" Oliver searched through his storage purse with his Dao sense to see if he will find them inside it, maybe he put the mortal grade Dao crystals while he was in the shadow space unknowingly, but after his search, there was not a single piece found in the storage purse. Oliver could not help but look at White Lotus strangely.

"Are the Dao crystals with White Lotus". Oliver thought and he was giving White Lotus sitting on the chair a peaceful looking like he was about to beg something important from it.

"Why the strange look boss, just go on with anything you have to say"

"If I have answers to the questions then I won't hold back in any way not even the slightest of it". White Lotus saw the way Oliver was looking at it and answered sincerely, it felt Oliver was troubled about something important so it will try its best to help Oliver to solve whatever the problem may be.

"Did you by any way see the mortal-grade Dao crystals I was holding before I slept off?" Oliver took a deep breath and ask he was hopeful to get some meaningful answer from White Lotus.

"Oh you mean those Dao crystals"

"And I thought it was something serious that was troubling you," White Lotus said calmly to Oliver.

Oliver was happy when he heard the reply from White Lotus, he felt since he got that answer from White Lotus that means the Dao crystals must be with it.

"Yes it is just that unserious matter, so can you hand them over, thank you," Oliver said pleading.

"What makes you think they are with me," White Lotus asked Oliver.

When Oliver heard what was said he felt his hope crashing quickly and wondered why White Lotus would say it was not a serious issue and in the end, it was saying the Dao crystals are not with it.

"Boss when you were having your long sleep I notice something mysterious, the Dao crystals in your hand were turning to dust one after the other"

"When it got to the eighth one I decided to take five from it, eventually the two that were left in your hand also turn to dust". White Lotus said to Oliver gently narrating what happened when he was asleep.

When Oliver Got the information he could not help but think about it deeply, "I think it is because of the Dao crystals that were in my hand that was why I was sent to the shadow space. That means I was paying for the training I was receiving in the shadow space with my Dao crystals".

"No free lunch in the jungle, one will have to pay a price" Oliver was able to calm down from worrying about what happened to his Dao crystals but the hunger was still there. He touched his stomach lightly.

"That means whenever am trying to comprehend a new technique and I feel the pain and discomfort from the black seed I will have to look for Dao crystals to hold on to no matter the grade to see if I will be sent into the shadow space again or maybe there is something I will have to do"

Oliver thought to himself he felt it was with the aid of the Dao crystals that he was sent into the shadow space because from the start when he tried to comprehend the technique he was unable to learn because of the disturbance of the black seed, but after the brought out his mortal grade Dao crystals he went blank and did not know what happened only to find himself in the shadow space and after he came out of the shadow space he was told that the Dao crystals he was holding were turning to dust in his hand, so it was the only thing he could tie his teleportation to the shadow space and the price for the training to.

"White Lotus since there is five mortal-grade Dao crystal remaining why not hand them over to me". Oliver looked at White Lotus with eyes filled with expectancy.

"What!

"Boss are you joking with me"

"I did my best to hand over the black havoc wolf to you. Am I not to get some Dao crystals from the benefit?" White Lotus responds with all seriousness.

"You want to keep the remaining Dao crystals for yourself how are we going to feed, hand them over".

Oliver was confused about what to do with the way White Lotus was behaving, the only option he had in his mind was to tell White Lotus to hand over the Dao crystals because without them there was no way for them to buy food or any other thing.

"You are asking me to hand them over boss but I am the one that save them from turning to dust beside if I should give them to you, who knows if they would turn into dust like the other ten". White Lotus answered.

"Okay that is true, you are right" When Oliver heard what was said he felt there was some sense in it and did not know if the Dao crystals will turn to dust if he should touch them.

"Give one from the five to me"

Without wasting any time White Lotus gave one mortal-grade Dao Crystal to Oliver to confirm if it will turn to dust. White Lotus could not handle Oliver and decided to give him the Dao crystals but they needed to know if it would be wasteful of him or not. After the Dao crystals were handed to Oliver he hold them for some minutes and nothing happen to them, he took a deep breath and White Lotus handed over the remaining ones to him after which they left the apartment.
