Chapter 25 Hall Master Leo

"What, you mean you were able to kill a black havoc wolf with this little strength of yours". Hall Master Leo said out of shock when he saw what Oliver brought out he was able to see the power level of the black havoc wolf

"How were you able to perform such a thing or is there something that we don't know of". Hall Master Leo said with a complicated smile on his face Deep down he believe it was not Oliver that kill the black havoc wolf but he asked the question to pry into Oliver's way trying if he, could get information about how he was able to become a magical cultivator without a life root and there was no life core in his body to store his Dao essence.

"This cunny old man wants to get information from who? Me, if it could be that easy then Grandfather would not have been a major person in my life, he thought me how to pretend and hide things cleanly" Oliver was in thought and had an honest smile on his face when he was looking at the hall master.

He massages his shoulder a little before he opens his mouth. "Hall master it was all a fateful encounter and I was lucky" Oliver replied honestly

"Just a fateful encounter are you telling me that the black havoc wolf corpse just fall from the sky right in your front in the ninth forest" Hall Master Leo pressed on he had a look on his face that was saying he could take his time to get the answer he wants slowly from Oliver he was not in a hurry.

"Hall Master, don't get things wrong, how could, the black havoc wolf just fall from the sky and landed in my front in the ninth forest"

"If you check the parts of the black havoc wolf that I delivered to you, I don't remember putting any wings to it or did you find any when you check" Oliver was filled with confidence as he said with a light laugh. Oliver took a quick glance at the hall master and saw that his expression changed and it quickly returned to normal for people to notice but Oliver had been watching him secretly.

"Hall master both of us know that the black havoc wolves are landed creatures so they can't fall from the sky". Oliver said and continue

"Please don't get me wrong Sir I will be honest with you". Oliver said and waited for some moment watching how the hall master will react to the last statement he saw the hall master filled with expectations of getting some credible information.

Hall Master Leo had a smile on his face when he had what Oliver said, from the start he was fuming with anger but decided to keep himself in check and did not do anything out of order and since he was the Hall master of the ninth city he knew how intact the laws was and the punishment that follows to any that breaks the rules especially the law that said no fighting in the city. So even if he wanted to attack or put pressure on Oliver to get information from him he had to control himself if not he would pay dearly.

"Sir hall master if I told you that I am the one that kill the big bad wolf because it won't listen to my words would you believe me". Oliver said honestly rubbing his two hands in a playful way for the hall master to notice his hands like he was telling him with his action that his hand accomplish the deed.

Hall Master Leo could not take it anymore his face was red with anger and embarrassment he felt he was being played with by Oliver which should be the other way round not what was happening. He brought out a handkerchief and wipe his face he was glad that he sent off the attendant before he started to check what Oliver brought to be accessed.

"Young lad did you think am playing with you, that you keep on running your mouth saying nonsense and whatever comes into your mind"

"You better don't joke with me". Hall Master Leo said with authority and released a little of his aura to put pressure on Oliver.

"Hall Master is all this not too much I ask you a question. If you believe I killed the black havoc wolf. All you need to do is answer me yes or no, if yes I won't say more, and if no there is more to say".

Hall master Leo felt he fell for Oliver's trap and he wonder how the weak and young Oliver was able to use his words to affect him so strongly.

"Sometimes when dealing with some set of people that you know won't believe the truth you have to say, you first tell them the truth to completely kill their mind from thinking to that direction and then tell them a sweet story that they would believe". Oliver thought to himself sitting comfortably because Hall Master Leo had drawn back his aura when he found out he fell for Oliver's words.

"The thing was that when I was chasing those two stone rabbits I manage to kill one of them as I decided to chase after the second one I injured it on its hind leg it ran past a cave and I saw the black havoc wolf lying down there it just looked at us and did not chase after us which was not their character they like to cause havoc and sharing of blood everywhere, so I killed the other stone rabbit and that path was the only path back when I got there I was afraid but I saw the black havoc wolf lying down and was struggling to breathe I monitored it from a distance and after it took its last breath I took action"

"I told it to breathe slowly to manage its breath but it refused and was hurrying with its breathing so I have to kill it," Oliver said with all seriousness as he narrated the story

"I told you I killed the bad wolf because it refused to listen to my word".

"Hall Master now you understand".
