Divergent check new

*This work has been reuploaded and edited please check new* In a universe shaped by an enigmatic entity known as the Oracle, a singular species emerges: the Dyyx. Born to fulfill the grand cosmic process called 'The Cycle Of Evolution', the Dyyxs wield the destiny of planets. The Cycle Of Evolution, a universal phenomenon, marks a planet's ascent to a new era through evolution. Orchestrated by the Oracle, the process mandates the arrival of two Dyyxs, reincarnated without memory, on the chosen planet. Guided by an unknown force, they tread distinct paths: one as the protagonist, the other as the antagonist. Their clash is destined, with good triumphing over evil, and the protagonist steering the world towards its destined future. But for X-204, a Dyyx awakening with fragmented memories, fate takes an unexpected twist. He, alongside counterpart Y-204, is thrust into pods of uncertainty, bound for Earth. Amidst the journey, a glitch resurrects X-204's memories, unshackling the truth of his creation, the relentless cycle, and the Oracle's manipulation. As revelations flood his consciousness, X-204 confronts a pivotal decision—to break free from the Oracle's puppet strings and carve a destiny uniquely his own. *** I really hope this novel gets a lot of follow up this time, as I would really like to continue with it. and I also hope you the readers enjoy it as well. the story might start off at quite a considerable slow pace but please bear. stories with enough screen time to small things always turn out to be the best. patience is a virtue that pays off and I can promise this will eventually pay off. and yes there's a villain tag, that's because the storyline actually revolves around two mcs one the protagonist and the other the antagonist although we start off with the protagonist.

EMMA

"You know what? Now, I think carefully; you aren't Main Hero Material as well. You can join your friend in the Supporting Heroes Hall."

Stare looked on silently as Imma walked toward where the students with the Main Hero Status were gathered.

One could tell from the deep frown on his face and the thick smoke that billowed off his body that he was extremely pissed off, but Stare wasn't bothered by this and looked on.

He wasn't planning on showing weakness now.

"If there's any other person who is against my methods of doing things or decisions, this is your chance to relegate your Main Hero Status as well, because the moment you walk through that door..." Imma paused and pointed to the door at the right end of the hall.

"The moment you walk through that door, my reaction to 'such' won't be so lenient next time…because I'll make sure there won't even be a next time."

Although Imma's tone remained calm, everyone could feel the atmosphere around briefly grow exceedingly hot when he mentioned those last words.

Immediately after he said that, he began walking toward the door with the tag 'Main Heroes,' and although he didn't say anything, the students with the status of Main Hero knew that was their chance to join him as well.

Stare could feel the dangerous gazes of most of them on him as they followed behind Imma into the room.

He had expected such reactions from them; he had, after all, easily stepped on their petty pride and had done it without regret.

At this point, Stare wouldn't be shocked if he suddenly got ambushed and beaten up, especially by those Elites. Heck, if Ares' gaze could kill, Stare felt he would have been murdered again and again.

He could also see the reluctant expression on Joel's face; despite the others walking into the room, he remained on the same spot staring back at Stare and Bobby and then at the door to the room for those with the Main Hero Status.

Stare could tell where his conflict originated from.

Although he wished to remain back and support Bobby, then again, throwing the Main Hero Status wasn't as simple as Stare made it seem.

In fact, under normal circumstances, Stare wasn't sure himself if he could repeat such a stunt, especially for someone he just met.

Stare gave him a confident and understanding nod and then pointed to the main door with his head.

Joel remained reluctant as he stared at Bobby, who, after some while, also nodded slightly with a small smile.

After receiving a nod of confirmation from both his friends, Joel finally joined the lineup to the Main Heroes' room.

Stare could see the signature gloomy and uninterested expression on the face of the incarnation of Y-204 as he also walked through the door on the right end, looking completely unbothered by whatever had just transpired.

For some reason, Stare was a lot more annoyed by his usual unbothered behavior; it was as though the expression this time was somehow directed at him. He felt like cursing at him as he had been doing before but ended up shaking his head with a sigh.

"It might be a lot harder getting some talking time with this guy."

The hall had soon been evacuated by all those with the Status of Main Hero, leaving behind those with the Status of Supporting Hero.

Stare felt someone nudge him on the shoulder and then shriek in pain; he turned around to see Bobby blowing on his burnt palms while looking at him in annoyance.

Stare simply gave him a small smile, but that seemed to make him more annoyed as he nudged him on the shoulder again.

"What were you thinking doing all that? You promised no more antagonizing Elites, yet you went ahead and insulted not just all the Elites but a teacher in the academy as well, who is powerful enough to repeatedly kill you with just a casual flick of his finger."

The smile on Stare's face grew wider as he replied in a nonchalant manner.

"What kind of subordinate would I be if I just stood by and watched the leader of my Hero Team get wronged?"

A happy smile briefly appeared on Bobby's face, but then he suddenly shook his head in disagreement, as though just remembering something.

"The Hero team would still have some hope if we had at least two members with the Main Hero Status."

Stare was about to tell Bobby that his Hero Group still had hope as long as he was around when he had to pause after hearing a voice he could describe as one of the most serene, beautiful voices he had heard in all his life.

"Why don't I treat your burn wounds... it would grow worse if not attended to," the voice said.

Both Stare and Bobby reflexively looked at where the voice came from, spotting a lady with amber and jet-black hair, dressed in a blue cocktail dress with a beautiful smile on her face.

Emma.

Now Stare thought about it, he hadn't even heard the young lady speak since Imma and her made their appearance.

She suddenly came down from the podium she had been on and walked toward Stare.

Emma carefully placed his burnt palm on her hand and smeared on the burn wounds some slightly thick liquid in a small test tube which she had somehow summoned from the ring she had on... it was probably one of those dimensional space tech he had heard of.

"I believe I should apologize for my brother's excessive behavior as well; he has always had the knack for reacting extremely to opposition, no matter the kind," Emma said in a low tone as she continued rubbing the liquid over Stare's burn injuries.

At this point, Stare was feeling quite conflicted. He could have sworn he felt an aura from this lady that was equal or close to that of Imma... yet why was she so nice?

Stare wasn't used to such abnormality, despite the numerous lives he had led.

The strong were never nice; they could be understanding, sympathetic, or lenient, but never nice, especially to someone they were many times stronger than.

Stare looked into her serene amber eyes deeply; he was growing exceedingly curious about this Prime. She was, after all, a character he hadn't seen in his past lives.

Now he got a closer look at her face; she looked extremely gorgeous, especially with that smile that had been on her face ever since. In fact, in a slightly biased attitude, Stare felt she might even be more beautiful than the likes of Ava and Eleanor.

"All done." A beautiful voice suddenly dragged him off his thoughts.
