Twenty Nine : The Truth Untold

Kim Namjoon POV

October 3rd, 2019,

I sat down on the floor panting for breath. We just finished practicing for our concert in Riyadh on October 11th.

"Hyung, do you want some water?", Asked Jungkook while giving me a bottle of water

"Gumawo", I said while receiving the water

"Namjoon-ah ... take a shower and rest for a while. We'll have dinner in an hour," said Seijin, our manager

"Hyung, it looks like I'm not going to dinner. Can I go out for a moment? I have something to do. Our schedule for today is finished, right?", I asked him

"Where do you want to go?", He asked frowning

"I'll tell about it later. But can I go for a moment?", I asked, looking at him

"Okay ... I'll ask the driver to accompany you", said Seijin nodded

"Gomawo hyung", I said smiling at him

I hurried to the changing room to clean myself. I have an appointment with Sora at 8pm in Minerva. It was 7 in the evening. After finishing showering and changing clothes, I immediately went to the car that was provided for me.

"Namjoon~aah .. are you leaving now?", Asked Suga

"Ne hyung", I said smiling at him while sitting in the passenger seat and waving

"Where is he going? RM where are you going?", Asked Jhope, looking confused from inside the other car

"He has an urgent personal matter," said Suga, laughing showing his gummy smile

I asked my driver to take me to Minerva. My heart was beating very fast. And I felt my palms sweating. When I arrived at Minerva, I put on my hat and put my mask on my face, I didn't want many people to recognize me. Sora said today is music night, so there will be lots of visitors in Minerva. As I climbed the stairs to the first floor, I could hear music from inside.

I saw Minerva was already filled with visitors. I looked around the room to find Sora's whereabouts.

"Annyeong, I am Song Aeri, can I help you?", Asked a woman in Minerva uniform, approaching me

"Ne .. I want to meet Kim Sora, where can I meet her?", I asked

"Kim Sora ssi is at the corner table near the coffee shop", replied the woman smiling at me

"Ye..gomawo (thank you)", I said when my eyes had found her

I walked over to her. The atmosphere inside is not crowded, but all the chairs and tables are filled with visitors. I saw there were some people doing acoustic performances in the stage. All the visitors who attended enjoyed the music, some sing along and some even moved their bodies to the music.

I arrived at the corner table, I saw Sora was chatting with a woman.

"Annyeong Kim Sora ssi", I said

Sora and her friend turned towards me with confused looks. "Annyeong ... Joon oppa?", Replied Sora hesitantly

"Ne", I replied, taking off my mask and smiling at her

"Oppa, you arrived! Sit down, please", said Sora surprised

"Ne ..kamsahamnida," I replied when sitting on the empty chair in front of her

"RM ssi? Wow! I didn't expect to see you here", said the woman who sat beside Sora

"Oppa, this is my best friend who I talk about, Cha Sunmi. Sunmi, this is Kim Namjoon ssi", said Sora introducing us both

"I'm very happy to meet you", said Sunmi with wide eyes

"Ye. Me too. We've met before at fansign,right?", I smiled at her

"Ne, she made me played the piano in front of you all", said Sora with an annoyed face

"But you played the piano very well Sora", said Sunmi defensively

I smiled seeing them.

"Oppa, it's so crowed here. Are you okay with it?", said Sora anxiously, looking around

"Gwaenchana (it's ok). I'm wearing a mask so no one will recognize me", I replied shrugging

"Arasso (I get it)", said Sora

The three of us talked about many things, from preparing for my concert to Sunmi's fashion brand. I am so happy to see Sora again, she looks very beautiful in a long dress with floral motif. My heart pounding every time she smiles while looked me in the eye with her sparkling eyes. Her beautiful hair hung gently down her back. I wanted to take her to a place where there were only the two of us and confess my feelings to her. However, I was in a completely opposite place.

I sighed, maybe I'll wait until this place gets a little quiet, I thought to myself. The musicians who were performing invited the crowd to sing along with them. Several tables were boisterous and enthusiastic. Then a handsome man, with glasses, walked towards the stage. His friends applauded him encouragingly.

"There He is again. Looks like Minwoo often spends his time here", said Sunmi looking annoyed

"Ye..he often comes with his friends. They really like Minerva", said Sora looking at the stage

"Mmm.. did you know that man?", I asked them both

"Ye ", said Sora nodding

I feel there's something between them. Sunmi was still looking at the man with an annoyed face, while Sora's expression couldn't be read at all.

"I will try to sing a song, but I want to ask the beautiful woman who owns this cafe to have a duet with me," said the man with glasses from the stage

I glanced at Sora who was surprised. Sunmi shook her head. But other visitors started calling out Sora's name to sing along.

"Come on ... ", I said to Sora, smiling broadly

"Uh? Ani. I can't sing", said Sora reluctantly

"Come on..I want to hear it. Please", I said, looking into her eyes

"No Sora, don't!!", said Sunmi to Sora

Sora looked at me and Sunmi alternately. She bit her lower lip. Finally she stood up and walked towards the stage. Me and the other visitors applauded loudly. I smiled to see her on stage, she was so beautiful. I saw Sora greet the man with glasses earlier and talk to him. Then the man sat behind the piano and Sora stood behind the microphone.

"Annyeong yorobun (hello everyone), tonight I will duet with Park Minwoo .. we will sing some songs for you", said Sora smiling in front of visitors

I cheered for her. But Sunmi looks angry at them. I looked at her in confusion. The man started playing the piano to accompany Sora's singing. Her voice was beautiful, her face shone, her eyes sparkled as she occasionally smiled at the visitors who attended.

"I gave up. I'll just go home", I heard Sunmi say angrily

"Sunmi, are you okay? Why do you look angry?", I asked, confused

"Oppa, you don't know who that man is. He is the most annoying man on earth," said Sunmi irritably

"What's the matter? I'm so confused", I said, frowning

Sunmi sighed, and started talking. "The man who plays the piano is Park Minwoo, Sora's ex-boyfriend", said Sunmi looking at me

"Jjinja (really)?" I asked, surprised

"Ne. He's a scary man. I don't want Sora to be close to him anymore", said Sunmi again

"What do you mean?", I asked increasingly confused

"Hhh..I don't know whether I'm the right person to tell you this or not. That man is crazy. I don't want Sora to be around him", said Sunmi staring at Minwoo

"Please Sunmi, if you want to tell something, then tell me, I am very confused by your words", I answered sincerely

"OK. Park Minwoo was my college friend in fashion design at SKKU. He is a smart and talented man. I introduced him to Sora, and they became close. Then they decided to become lovers. At that time Sora and Minwoo both graduated from college. Sora started working as a teacher at a music school in Seoul, and Minwoo worked as a fashion stylist at a fashion magazine in Seoul. Long story short, when it was their first anniversary, a student at Sora's music school came to her and told her that the girl had a special relationship with Minwoo. They have been in relationship behind Sora for about 3 months, "said Sunmi with a sigh

"Jjinja? With a student?", I asked incredulously

"Ne. High school student! The girl showed messages, emails, and even photos of the two of them. You know what that girl wants? She wanted Sora to break up with Minwoo, because Minwoo said he loves that girl more", continued Sunmi

"Feeling betrayed, finally Sora broke their relationship. And do you know what Minwoo did? He didn't want their relationship to end. He said that his relationship with that girl was just a joke. And he prefers Sora over that girl", said Sunmi while clenched her fists

"Aigooo...", I don't know what to say

I saw Minwoo was looking at Sora who was singing with all her heart.

"But that's not the worst yet, oppa", said Sunmi

I turn my gaze back to Sunmi.

"After they broke up, Minwoo began to terrorize Sora. He followed Sora wherever she went, broke her car tires, sent messages with dirty words. In fact, he once entered Sora's apartment without permission and cut all the clothes in Sora's closet", said Sunmi emotionally

"Jjinja??" I asked incredulously

"Sora had to move apartments several times and changed her cellphone number. And the climax, Minwoo found out about Sora's new apartment, then he forced his way in. They had a big fight. Luckily I was on my way to visit Sora that day. When I got there, the residents of the apartment on the same floor as Sora gathered in front of Sora's apartment door. They hear a commotion and call the police. I hold the spare key to Sora's apartment so I can break in, and do you know what I found?", Asked Sunmi emotionally

"Eh?", I asked

"Park Minwoo tried to suicide in front of Sora, he knelt in front of her holding a knife. He sobbed as he repeatedly begged Sora to forgive him and come back to him. Sora was very scared, she cried and asked Minwoo to throw the knife away. I was very shocked seeing that incident, I couldn't even move. I just stared at them. I'm so scared. I'm afraid Minwoo will do something crazy. And I'm even more afraid when Minwoo attacked Sora ", said Sunmi wiping her tears

"Luckily the police came quickly, so the worst did not happen. Minwoo's family asked Sora not to sue him, and said they would take Minwoo to Japan, away from here. Sora agreed. Then the police gave Minwoo a letter of prohibition from approaching Sora for one year. Three day after the incident, Minwoo went to Japan with his parents. We haven't heard from him for two years. But a month ago he suddenly appeared here in Minerva. I was very surprised, oppa ", said Sunmi worriedly

"That's why I don't want Sora to be near him, I'm afraid he will hurt Sora again", said Sunmi in despair

"Wow, I didn't expect it", I replied

I didn't know that Sora had experienced something like that. She only ever said that she broke up with her boyfriend because he had cheated on her.

I looked at the stage, Sora just finished singing her second song. They received applause from the visitors. I saw Minwoo smiling and still staring at Sora as if Sora was love of his life. I felt anger and jealousy inside of me. Sora walked towards us with a smile on her face. I smiled to greet her.

"You are amazing Kim Sora ssi", I said praising her

"Gomawo", replied Sora blushed as she sat back in her chair

"Sora ya! Why do you want to sing with him? I really don't like him", said Sunmi irritably

"Huh?Sunmi, people asked me to sing with him", replied Sora, surprised by Sunmi's response

"I've said many times, do not trust him and don't get close to him", said Sunmi with a flushed face

"Sunmi ssi..Sora just wanted to entertain the visitors", I said defending Sora

"Oppa, I thought you were on my side. Never mind ... I'll just go then", said Sunmi as she stood up and took her bag

"Sunmi~aah, why are you like this?", Asked Sora, confused

"I'll leave, Oppa. Nice to meet you. Please take care of Sora," said Sunmi to me and walked away leaving a confused Sora

"Sunmi~aaah wait..Sunmi!! Oppa I'll be back in a bit. I'm sorry," said Sora anxiously and then ran after Sunmi

I saw Sora running after Sunmi who get out of Minerva. I understand how Sunmi feels, she must be worried about Sora. But Sora wasn't completely wrong, she seemed reluctant at first, but because I asked her to sing, she finally wanted to come on stage. If I had known about it earlier, surely I wouldn't want Sora to be around that guy.
