Split in Half

The battlefield, once filled with the sounds of battle cries and shouts, had now fallen into a deathly silence. The only sound that could be heard was the wind whistling through the empty expanse.

Revolutionary Army soldiers and Imperial troops exchanged bewildered glances. The events unfolding before them were beyond comprehension, leaving many in a state of stunned disbelief. A few sharp-witted soldiers from the Revolutionary Army began to slip away towards the edges of the battlefield, taking advantage of the distraction to make their escape.

With such terrifying power on the other side, continuing to fight was tantamount to suicide.

The battlefield was now steeped in a strange atmosphere, where neither side seemed sure whether to continue fighting or not. Both the Revolutionary Army and the Imperial troops were at a loss, staring at each other in confusion. Was there any point in continuing this war?

The Revolutionary Army, in particular, was in a dilemma. How were they supposed to continue fighting when the enemy could wipe them out with a mere flick of a finger? Was there any meaning left in their struggle?

Holding the unconscious Najenda in her arms, Kaguya sighed and muttered, "Another one caught."

To date, Kaguya had already captured several members of Night Raid, including Mine and Chelsea. She had initially hoped to recruit them, but they stubbornly refused, consistently opposing her at every turn. This left her in a difficult position—unable to kill them and reluctant to let them go. In the end, she could only keep them under strict guard in the dungeon, a situation she found increasingly frustrating.

Kaguya couldn't help but feel a surge of determination, her patience fraying with each passing moment. If things continued this way, she might just have to resort to something drastic, like confining them and turning them into obedient playthings, as in certain otherworldly stories. Even her patience had its limits.

Najenda had an impressive figure—tall, curvaceous, with a particularly enticing bust and shapely rear. Wrapped in her black suit, the soft and smooth sensation of her body was irresistible.

How did Kaguya know this?

It was evident from the way her delicate hands had explored Najenda's body.

Unfortunately, years ago, Najenda had fought a fierce battle with General Esdeath, only to be defeated and severely injured. That battle had cost Najenda an eye and an arm, hence the eyepatch and mechanical arm she now wore.

These injuries had reduced her beauty somewhat, though they also added a unique charm.

Of course, missing limbs and other injuries weren't much of an issue in Kaguya's view. She had many ways to heal such wounds. If Naruto could restore Kakashi's eye, then she could certainly do the same.

"Pervert," a sudden shout came from behind, accompanied by a sharp gust of wind aimed at Kaguya's head.

Kaguya, seemingly aware of the attack without even looking, withdrew her hand from Najenda and casually swatted the assailant away.

The attacker was revealed to be a black-haired beauty wielding a long sword, glaring furiously at Kaguya—none other than Akame, the elder sister of Kurome.

"Attacking without a word? Isn't that a bit rude?" Kaguya turned around, smiling.

"Hmph," Akame snorted, saying nothing, her eyes locked onto Kaguya as she subtly shifted her sword, searching for an opening.

"Princess, I apologize," Kurome said, hurrying over with an apologetic expression. "I couldn't stop her."

"It's fine," Kaguya said, walking over to hand Najenda to Kurome. "Help me look after her, and I'll forgive you."

"Understood," Kurome nodded earnestly.

Seeing Kurome's serious and adorable demeanor, Kaguya couldn't resist leaning down to kiss her on the lips, her tongue quickly invading Kurome's mouth.

At that moment, Akame launched another attack. With a swift step, she turned into a blur, appearing in front of Kaguya in an instant. Raising her sword high, she swung it down furiously at the pair.

A loud metallic clang echoed as Akame was forced back several steps by the sheer force of the impact.

Before Kaguya, a black spherical shield had materialized, blocking Akame's strike. Though thin and fragile-looking, like an eggshell, the barrier was surprisingly resilient, even withstanding the blow from Akame's Teigu, Murasame.

"Interrupting someone's intimate moment is rather rude, don't you think?" Kaguya remarked with a faint smile as she glanced at Akame.

"Sorry, Princess," Kurome said, her cheeks flushed. "I'll make sure to teach her better manners."

"Really?" Kaguya chuckled. "I'm looking forward to it. Though I must say, she's a lot fiercer than you were."

"Is that so?" Kurome replied, slightly embarrassed, then asked hopefully, "What about now?"

"Now? It's just right," Kaguya said, patting Kurome's head with a smile.

"Do you like it, Princess?" Kurome asked boldly, mustering up her courage.

"I do, very much so," Kaguya replied, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "But I wonder, can you outdo yourself at night?"

Kurome shyly fidgeted, hands behind her back, and replied, "I'll try."

"Enough!" Akame couldn't stand it any longer and shouted angrily.

"What's wrong?" Kurome turned to her sister, curious. "Are you mad, sister?"

"Pervert," Akame spat, her eyes burning with anger, gripping her sword tightly as if ready to strike at any moment.

"Why are you upset, sister? Isn't it normal to be close with someone you love?" Kurome asked, puzzled.

Akame was momentarily at a loss for words.

It seemed there was nothing wrong with being close to someone you love.

"Unless…" Kurome's eyes widened in realization as she clapped her hands together. "Sister, do you also like the Princess?"

"What nonsense!" Akame shouted, flustered. "Why would I like that pervert?"

Kaguya was momentarily speechless, feeling as if she'd been unjustly caught in the crossfire.

"Liking the Princess isn't a big deal," Kurome said generously. "Since you're my sister, I can share her with you."

"Hey, hey," Kaguya protested, feeling a bit miffed. "Am I some sort of object that can be split in half?"

But on second thought, did that mean Kurome was calling her a nobody?
