*Three weeks later..
***The Upper sector of the Outskirts of 'Eclipse of the Ocean', Chingford's Academy..
These week passed on a blur for Navi who has been registered and approved as an official discipline of Chingford's Academy within the Tier 2 segment of a person who aspires to sense mana.
The first week of Navi's schedule was the settling-down part of things. As promised, he was given a quarter to board in, three sets of official robes belonging to his segment but unlike the short information the old man lazily gave him, he found out that he would have to be in training for atleast three months before being allowed to choose his free weapon.
This rule is put in place so that disciples would try a long range of weapons available before choosing the ones most compatible with them instead of just rushing the process.
Navi is perfectly fine with this as he already has a set of weapons he wants to master. His mother's last gift to him which comes as a twin pair of daggers. He understands the need for versatility so for now, anything that comes next would have to be secondary.
Currently Navi is in his housing quarter which he's currently sharing with three other male disciples.
The rooms is small in size for the number of occupants(15ft-by-15ft) and its design isn't anything outstanding consisting of only two double bunker beds and four cabinets each at a corner of the square room.
Two students would of course take one pair of bunker beds and each student has access to a private cabinet with a lock. Navi has been introduced to other more convenient housing system but apart for the lack of a private bathroom, he currently found no discomfort in his current stay.
Settling in, it wasn't much of a surprise that he's the youngest in the room with his oldest roommate over fourteen years older than him. They showed a little cringe at him at first but now, none of them has any time to develop friendship nor enmity, they were just room-mates. Nothing more or less.
As an unspoken rule he got introduced in his first visit, he learnt that when it comes to sharing quarters, the last to arrive doesn't to pick beds!. He got the worst bed in the bunch, the left side top bunk which greets the sunlight coming from their single window over an hour earlier than the rest.
To others especially training martial disciples whose sleep are the only mild pain relieve provided from the physical stress they have to endure, torture wouldn't be able to fully explain getting a bunker that literally forcefully wakes them up one hour earlier than the rest.
Navi finds it a a bit of a discomfort but not torture as he doesn't really sleep these days due to fear of hallucination. Training without true rest is seriously taking a toll on his body but for now its still within bearable limits.
This morning like any other day, the sun warms up just face and manages to stimulate his closed eyes. He slowly opens his reddened eyes and looks at the wooden celling.
With a small sigh, he pushes himself up and rubs his face. There's no way he can go back to his half-asleep half-awake state now so he didn't even bother to try.
He silently uses the bunk ladder down to the ground to avoid disturbing his sleeping room-mates after which he takes his towel from his cabinet and fills a small bag up with the rest of what he needs for the morning then he uses the door to excuse himself out of the room.
Rows of simple wooden door and an empty walkway greets Navi's sight. He walks calmly to the end of the doors where he sees the familiar set of stairs running by both upwards and downwards.
Taking the downwards stairs, he had to go through four flights before finally reaching the last floor. He navigates his way through another door and finally finds himself in a massive bathroom obviously meant to be used by tens of people at the same time.
Multiple water sprays, multiple mirrors and multiple sinks. There were currently only four males in the bathroom and they were washing their n*ked bodies without any care in the world about the appearance of a new comer.
Navi also doesn't show much reaction to them either as he just walks up to a empty slot and strips down to his birthday suit. The only good parts about waking up early is the feeling of privacy it brings. Imagining the bathroom being crowded but males of all races in their birthday suits sent shivers down Navi's young spine.
He turns on his water spray which consists of a slim bamboo-like stick attached to a flexible pipe. The chill of cold water over his skin always seems to give him some clarity.
He seems to have developed the habit of checking himself out every morning as so he looks into the misty mirror that tells the truth about his terrible status.
His dark circles have gotten another shade deeper, his eyes had a bit of redness stuck in their whites and his skin have gotten even paler over the weeks.
He could feel it in his bones that his physicals is getting worse every day more he passes without proper sleep.
*Sigh*, A small sigh escapes his lips. He doesn't care about it much but his mother's soul would definitely not be happy seeing him like this. Something has to change!.
A few minutes later, Navi walks out of the bath-room completely refreshed and in a set of clean official robes.
The bag he've brought with him packed in it all he has used as he exits the full building with a whole with a new destination in mind.
The cafeteria.
The cafeteria as expected is already open with a few scattered students already diving into their meals. The Academy were kind enough to offer a meal to disciples twice a day, in the morning and nights.
If a disciple want anything more then they would have to buy it. Navi walks up to the serving chefs and pulls out a tray. He moves from one place to another past them as they filled up his tray while moving from server to server as his tray slowly gets filled up.
At the last place he scans his identity slip with a small hum and then he carries on to a corner to eat at an empty set of wooden chairs and tables. Most disciples in the Academy would definitely argue that the food here tastes like meaty mud and Navi would well,.. say the same thing.
Whoever is cooking the meals definitely couldn't give a f*ck about taste and only puts in water soaked meat and traces of anything else needed for continued survival of the students.
Well its a good thing that Navi also only eats for survival. He picks up his chop sticks and dives into his meal without complains.
Navi has always been a fast yet silent eater as he clears his tray in less that five minutes. He wipes his face with a napkin and carries his tray to a different section of the cafeteria where he washes it clean and dumps it with the other piles and exits the cafeteria for good.
