The ballroom glowed with beautiful golden light that the many lit candle sticks on their individual stands provided, bright enough to show just how much effort everyone had put into looking beautiful tonight.
The violins started playing, then the flutes joined, then the harps and the rest of the instruments, allowing the melodious music to fill the room.
Women in gowns and men in fitted robes, all colorful, filled the ballroom as they exchanged pleasantries, some in formal voices, some with a heartfelt laughter, others with small smiles and curt nods.
Those who weren't exchanging pleasantries, were by one section of the ballroom, where bottles of wine were placed on a large table, alongside goblets for everyone to help themselves.
Although this ball was to celebrate the successful coronation, most people were here for different reasons.
