CHAPTER 4

Collin was listening to Miss June about the apostrophe report.

"Victim died due to lots of blood loss, victim's death date is same as first victim just difference in few hours, this body is hanged on wall from 2 days, there are cuts on his whole body and face is full of nails which is as same as Morgan…." June explains to him.

"And what about Morgan's blood found on this dead body?" Collin asks her curiously.

"Oh that… killer used sharp knife and a large hammer which were use to kill Morgan and same were used to kill second victim, so we found Morgan's blood on it" Miss June spoke

Collin was not surprised by June's explanation as he thought of this possibility. As the time difference between first victim and second victim death was just a few hours, it makes sense that the killer used the same weapon to kill the second victim as well.

"What about the box I gave you?" Collin asked

"Victim's finger was cut with same knife and there were no fingerprints on paper note or cut finger but what makes me surprise is that there are at least 30 - 40 different fingerprints on box and as well as none of this prints matches any criminal from Brooklyn district, I have send this prints to other districts but they didn't find anything useful" June tells him

"Send me a copy of every fingerprint"

Collin is seated on his chair with a 4x4 rubix cube in his hand.

'Even if he had touched the box with his bare hands he would have removed his fingerprints by polishing the box with a mixture of mineral oil and a few drops of lemon extract, but he didn't…. Instead of that he used 30- 40 fingerprints on the box. He is not an idiot who wears gloves while killing people while removing it just to touch the box which is going to be delivered to a police officer. There is only one possibility, he wants to provoke me as if he is telling me 'FIND ME in these fingerprints'.... so he really wants to challenge me' Collin thought while solving rubix cube. He kept the solved cube on the table and started laughing... "THE GAME IS ON"

Few hours later

"Where the f*ck I am going to find this guy" Collin shouted loudly

Every member from team started looking at him

"Rebecca, will you bring me some coffee?" Collin asked her while looking at files

"Y..Yes" Rebecca replied with a red face.

Rebecca is new in the department and just finished her internship. She is not as beautiful as Miss June but she is beautiful on her own and she has a crush on Collin from the very start. She does every work given by Collin with enthusiasm and it was done before the given time.

"Joseph, bring me the second victim's file" Collin shouted.

As they found some credit cards and ID of MKT company, it was easy to find his information.

Collin started comparing both of the victims files.

'Not a single thing is common in both victims files….. No..No there must be something common, he is not someone who will kill people randomly. He is well educated and an organized serial killer ' Collin thought while scratching his head.

Rebecca brought a cup of coffee to Collin's desk.

"Thank you" Collin said while taking a sip of coffee from it.

She smiled and started looking at his face while standing in front of him.

After drinking his coffee, Collin started thinking about his case and Rebecca went back to her desk.

"Joe bring me all past 3 years cases in which victim was killed brutally, it doesn't matter weather those case are solved or unsolved, I want all files on my desk" Collin ordered Joe

Joe nodded and went to find case files…

After an hour...

Joe brought at least 40-50 case files on Collins desk.

Collin started reading all the cases. Instead of finding a similar case, he started eliminating it. Like those cases in which a victim was killed brutally by a group of people, some of the cases where victims were killed due to revenge. Collin knew that this killer works alone and most of the serial killers never work in groups.

If you want to find something in between a lot of things, instead of finding those you should eliminate those things which are unimportant. As you're never 100% sure that the thing you picked is right but while you eliminate things you have surety that it is right.

After eliminating lots of cases, there were 3 cases on his desk and the most surprising thing was that in one of those cases 4 people were killed 2 years ago and not only that the date of killing those people was '18th May'.

"F*ck" Collin got shocked

On 18th May both Harry and Morgan were killed…...
