Destiny's Spirals

"I want you to move on with your life." Tears rolled down my eyes and I had no words to say, just listened to him. "Do whatever you feel is right, I just want you to be happy. I'll always watch you and protect you. And I'll love you, forever and always." With that, he was no longer with me. I've lost him forever.

Chapter 5

The next day, everything had gone smoothly. I told Julia and Kevin about the date and everything that had happened between us.

Edward had called me and we spoke for an hour or two and he asked me out for a second date. I felt a flutter in my stomach and happily agreed to him. He told me to dress fancy and so here I was looking for a pretty dress, that was suitable enough to wear to the date. The date is tomorrow and I still don't know what I'm going to wear.

After a lot of looking and trying different dresses, I chose to wear an off-shoulder bodycon black dress. Well, it looked a bit formal but it definitely didn't look weird. It was a mid thigh dress and I thought of wearing it with my black pumps.

The next day, work was hectic but other than that it was fine. I reached home at four, freshened up myself with a cup of coffee and started getting ready for the dinner.

I was done dressing up and looked myself at the mirror. The dress hugged my body perfectly. My hair looked nice. I curled it slightly. I did my makeup lightly, didn't want my face to look like a cake, of course. Soon, there was knock at my door. I rushed quickly towards the door and opened it. There he was standing in a black suit jacket with a pink shirt beneath it. His hair was in place, not really combed but it looked good in him. Few buttons of his shirt were unbuttoned, enough to reveal his toned chest with tattoos and also the cross pendant hanging perfectly round his neck.

I was staring at his chest when Edward cleared his throat and I was brought back to reality. I looked up and saw him looking at me with a smile on his face showing off all his dimples.

"You look beautiful." Edward said with a smile on his face. "You don't look bad yourself." I replied. "Here I bought some daisies for you. I didn't what kind of flowers you like and roses are just so common these days. So,I thought of bringing something different." he spoke so nervously as if I would lash out on him. It was funny to look at him getting nervous. I smiled and hugged him. He flinched but responded to my hug and put his arms around my waist. "Thank you so much. I really loved it." I honestly told while still in his embrace.

Soon, we were on our way to our destination. The drive to the restaurant was mostly of us talking about our preferences on different things. I got to know that he prefers cats and that he has a cat back at his home in England, whose name happens to be Bubble. He also told me that he stayed with his grandparents as his mother passed passed away when he was twelve. I felt sorry for him. It really showed he still loves her, even though she isn't beside her son. While I,on the other hand, neither gave nor received any kind of love from my parents. For them, it was only Steve, I was nothing to them. Steve also wasn't the kind of brother, who would support me no matter me, instead he always sided with my parents. No wonder, my bond with my parents and my dear brother is a little hazy. I shake off my sad family thought and look around my surroundings. My jaw dropped when I see that we're in a secluded garden, which had a small round table and its surrounding was decorated with fairy lights. There was a slow song playing in the background. I loon around and see five men playing different instruments in the corner.

Edward walked and stood in front of me smiling sheepishly and rubbing the back of his neck. "You really didn't have to do so much." I told him in a serious tone. "But I wanted to." he replied with a pout. I laughed at his childish behaviour. "Now, shall we move on?" he said in a posh tone while bending and giving me his hand. I held to his hand, heat radiating from his body. My nerves were all over the place, I was feeling weird in the pit of my stomach. The sky was bright with the moonlight. In all, the atmosphere was just so romantic.

We reached the table and Edward pulled the chair for me. I sat on my seat comfortably and looked around myself. "How and when did you prepare all of these?" I asked while gesturing the table and the lights. He smirked and said, "Well, I started preparing this right after our first date." I looked at his in disbelief. "And how, to answer that part of your question is going to be a little tough. You see, I have my ways." He smirked and winked at me. I laughed at him. "Fine, Julia and Kevin helped me." he said with mock disappointed look on his face. I was shocked at what he said. "No way!! Jules and Kevin helped you and they didn't even tell me." He laughing so hard.

The whole dinner was comprised of laughter and childish bantering. "I really enjoyed today. You took a lot of effort to do a these, even if you didn't do it all alone. I loved it." I told him sincerely. He smiled at me and nodded his head, "I enjoyed too, Ava. Thanks for agreeing to come. Otherwise, it would have been me, the musicians and the dinner table." He opened the car door for me to get. He jogged and got inside. We buckled ourselves and were off to my apartment. The ride home was silent but comfortable.

He parked his car in the driveway and we both got out of the car. Edward walked me to my doorstep. "Thanks for a lovely evening. I enjoyed it thoroughly." I said with a smile. He smiled widely and nodded. There was something that was pulling me towards him, I could feel his body heat on my body. My heart was pounding against my chest. My surroundings were spinning and it seemed we were the only ones here. I could feel his breath on my neck. We both looked into each other's eyes. His eyes twinkling with something I couldn't decipher. It seemed he was staring right into my soul. Our chests were pressed together and in no time, I felt his soft pink lips on mine. The spark in my stomach was released and was creatinga firework all over my body. Our lips moved in sync and it felt amazing. I moved my hands along his hair and his arms made their way around my waist. Our breathing heavy but none of us were breaking away from the kiss. His lips parted from my lips and leaned his forehead against mine. We both were breathless. "That was awesome." Edward said with a huge grin plastered on his face. I just smiled. I had no strength to speak. It seemed all the air from my body had been taken away. The feeling was just too amazing. After staying in this position, Edward left and I got inside my apartment.

I changed myself to my printed bunny pyjamas and a t-shirt. I got under the sheets and laid on my pillow, thinking about the kiss we shared and how far we've come from being complete strangers, who met in a club, to this. It felt like I was dreaming all of this and would suddenly wake up to the same boring life I lived before Edward came. It seemed as if my time with Edward wouldn't last long and that something or someone would part us apart. I tell myself that it's too early to think about this. I remind myself that we only kissed, it's not that he asked me to be his girlfriend. I got comfortable under my duvet and slowly drifted to sleep while thinking about the beautiful person with a pair of emerald eyes.
