Are These Demons?

A ghostly elevator, probably holding a massive amount of demons situated at the very end of the building leaned against the wall.

Darkness spread over its entire range, increasing one's fear of it. Its dormant nature coupled with the thick layer of darkness discouraged Levi every time he would proceed towards it.

"I can do it," he said, hyping himself and walking straight to the elevator.

He dared not rotate his head, knowing that it would be a mistake, leading him to unending doom in the grasp of fear.

"I just have to look forward and walk," he continued, "look and walk. It's simple," " right?"

He had begun losing courage, declining in speed, and quivering to the slightest sound. His steps alone frightened him, and the flickering lights at the entrance gave him thoughts of ghosts.

After a long while of contemplating, flinching, and quivering in fear, he somehow managed to arrive at the elevator.

He looked around it, observing its rough, rusted, and exploded metallic sides. He sighted bright red stains, as though they were dried blood smudged by another entity.

Amidst all these, he mustered enough courage and bravery just to extend his arm and enter into the cuboid enclosure.

He set his destination to the first floor and calmly elevated. It took a few seconds, barely a minute until he arrived at his destination.

He stood afraid within the confinement of the elevator, frightened to expose his body by opening the doors.

He could even hear strange groans that sourced from within the room.

"What're tho-those?" he stuttered, stepping backward.

He breathed in, and out, and repeated the process several times in a bid to eradicate his fear. With his vibrating arms, he extended one of them towards a button which he slowly pressed.

Soon, the door began sliding open, and he immediately began regretting his decision upon seeing the level of darkness in the room.

His eyes glowed in a similar style as previously, and a message surfaced,

[Area 1: Floor 1-1

Description: Tall, wide, and immensely large in general. Melted, half-collapsed, and unsafe. Dark and eerie, with frequent groans, screechings, and frightening sounds.

Demon Spirit Sensor (DSS): 62 Spiritual Level

---

Destruction Deadline: 1 day

Spiritual Level indicates the probability and amount of demons expected to spawn or emerge in a given location. The average is 50, lower than that is a low amount of demons, and more than that is an immense amount of demons.

Note: The larger the building, the higher the Spiritual Level]

"This again?" He said. "At least, the Spiritual Level is still the same, although I fear the addition to that description."

He slowly stepped out of the elevator, filled with fear that shrouded his sense of navigation. Soon, he tripped, falling flat onto the floor.

Behind him, was a tiny device, beaming out colorful rays of bright red, and green.

It glimmered, in crystalline brilliance. It was a cube of fine glowing diamond rods and smooth exteriors. He picked it up and was immediately dumbfounded by its immense weight.

"No wonder, I tripped over it," he said, slowly rotating the cube to view it fully.

Its mass was incredible, and for that reason, Levi quickly dropped the device and arose from his descended state on the ground.

Filled with even more fear due to such a weird device, he moved to his side and sought support from a large pillar that stood tall at one of the room's edges.

Immediately he grabbed onto the rough edges of the pillar, a cacophony of groans sourced from within the darkness in the distance.

"What was that? Here's too dark, I can't see anything," he said, hyperventilating and crouching in an attempt to shield himself.

The sounds commenced, unbearable and unorganized forcing Levi into a traumatized state. As he was on the verge of screaming, the bulbs above turned on, and he sighted little creatures settled on the floor.

"1, 2, 10, 50? No, 100."

They were large in number, flooding the entire room.

"Are these demons? No, they can't be."

The creatures looked too small, and in fact, adorable to be demons although their voices spoke differently. Their strange ugly voices were contradictory to their cute appearances.

Regardless, Levi extended his arms to lift and rest them in the soft embrace of his arms. Slowly, he picked the little creatures, a handful of them to be precise.

As he pressed them onto his body, he felt a sharp sensation and sting on his arm. Soon, he felt a heavy burden on his body, arms, and legs.

He fell to the ground, unknowingly discharging the creatures from his warm embrace, and permitting them to descend forcefully to the ground.

Immediately the creatures landed, he saw a bright flash, capable of blinding the eye if exposed numerous times. The lights flickered, and the creatures began transforming.

He couldn't believe his eyes, as the creatures that were once little rapidly increased in size. Their legs, arms, head, and their entire body enlarged.

He quickly stood up from the ground and jumped backward. He watched the phenomenon take place from afar, lost in thoughts of his next action.

The body parts of the creatures - now enlarged - looked more fierce, and powerful. They bested Levi in terms of physical appearance, standing taller, broader, and possessing more muscles than he did.

"What are these? Demons?!"

As he reflected upon his actions, a message popped up reading,

[!!Demon(s) Sighted!!

Count: 72

Tier: Tier-1]

"72?!" He screamed, surprised at the amount of demons present in the room. At this point, Levi was left with no choice but to face those demons head-on.

He proceeded calmly toward the demons but was immediately interrupted by a separate message that spiked his interest.

"Two abilities, huh? I guess Abyssal Mana is my exchange for using these skills although I don't know how much Abyssal Mana I have," he said, exposing a slight smirk on his face.
