Chapter 4

Habuki was a tall man standing at 6'0, he was muscular, but had a slim physique. He had messy dark-blue hair, pale skin, and had blue tattoos on his body. He also had pointed ears and sharp, yellow eyes.

Keiko was about 5'4, common pale skin with black hair that stopped at her chin that had grayish highlights. She had almond shaped eyes that were dark gray like Kyoshi's, but her pupils were vertical slits like a cat's.

They walked to the backroom and opened up the door and immediately went wide eyed at the aura they were feeling.

"Just how much blood did this child receive?" Keiko asked.

"Who knows, but it was definitely a lot." Habuki replied. They walked into the room and went towards the sleeping boy. They could see his body twitching slightly as his body was still changing on the inside from Muzans blood.

Keiko picked the boy up along with the futon and looked at him. His skin that had a bit of color in it, was now as white as Muzan's, his mouth was open from his breathing and they saw his small fangs. She moved his bangs from his face and Habuki just stared at her with a deadpan expression.

"Can we leave now?" He asked. Keiko looked at him with annoyance and they both vanished.

Mt. Myosumi

Underground, on the slope of the mountain was a base that was made by the two demons over the course of a few months. The base was only accessible by drawing a mark with Habuki's blood and the symbol was only known by him and Keiko along with Muzan of course.

They drew the symbol on a rock and it glowed golden. At the same time under their feet the slab of stone they were stepping on glowed golden and they vanished into the base.

They reappeared in a dark room and left through the door. They walked out and were welcomed to a hallway. On the left there was a room met for storage and further down the hallway was the living room and a kitchen area. Past that was where the rooms are located.

"Let's just lay him down in some room and I guess go get something to eat." Habuki said. Keiko nodded and took Kyoshi to a room and laid him down before leaving the room.

—2 Hours Later—

"Ahhhhhh!!" Kyoshi screamed as he jumped up. His body was covered in sweat and his kimono had been taken off at the top and rested on his waistline. His pupils became cat-like and he seemed to get a bit bigger.

"What was that?" He asked himself as he looked around.

"Where is this? Where's Muzan?"

He got up from his futon and scrambled to open the door before running through it. Once he was out, he ran down the hallway and looked to his left. That's when he noticed the smell in the air. The delicious smell of meat. He wasn't hungry but the food smelt so good, he felt he could eat anyway.

"Oh you're awake." Keiko said while looking at Kyoshi.

"Where am I?" Kyoshi asked.

"Take a seat in the living room, we'll tell you later. Just know, we work with Muzan." She said with a smile.

"Muzan? Where is he?"

"We'll tell you later. Have a seat." She said and went back to cooking. Kyoshi turned around and saw a doorway that led to a place with couches and a table in the middle. He went through it and saw that the room seemed to be used to just relax.

It didn't give off the same "proper" air like Muzan's house did. Once he sat on the couch, he looked at his hands. His nails were now black claws that faded into an ash gray color at the end.

He also felt his fangs with his tongue and was surprised by the changes in his body. He also felt stronger, like he held endless energy. His vision was as clear as the highest quality video from modern times and he could see dust particles in the air.

His sense of smell was also enhanced and it made him drool at the smell of the meat coming closer and closer. He turned his head and saw Habuki and Keiko walking into the room with three bowls full of cut up meat and some chopsticks. Kyoshi's eyes were tracking the bowls on their way to the table before hearing Habuki clear his throat.

"This one's yours." He said as he placed the bowl and chopsticks in front of Kyoshi. Keiko and Habuki sat on the couch opposite of Kyoshi and they watched him pick up the chopsticks and happily eat the meat.

"You do know where that meat was taken from right?" Habuki asked. Kyoshi stopped and swallowed the meat slice and spoke.

"Yeah, from a human right? I already know we have to kill them to eat." Kyoshi said as he went back to eating the meat with a delighted smile.

The two demons across from him were extremely surprised by this. It wasn't normal for people to just accept that they'd have to kill and eat humans to live. What they don't know is that while Kyoshi was "unconscious" the words Muzan spoke to him when they first met were played over and over again in his head.

"What's the difference between humans killing animals to eat them and us killing humans to eat them?"

Both species do it to survive, so why is one seen as a taboo while the other is made a profession? Kyoshi took in this information and made a decision that he wasn't going to let himself starve to death because some humans that wouldn't understand his situation would have a problem with it.

It was simple actually. After all, who wouldn't choose life over a brutal death? He did have a question though, why were demon slayers killing people that are just trying to live?

"Now that we've finished our meal, let's introduce ourselves." Keiko said.

"I'm Keiko. I think I was turned about a decade ago, so I'm 29. I don't remember too much from my time as a human, but I do remember I liked to sing." She said moving her hair behind her ear.

Kyoshi nodded and Habuki stood up to introduce himself, like some kid at school.

"Well um, my name is Habuki, I like to fight and stuff like that, what else? I'm good at hunting I guess aaaaaand I guess I'll be your trainer or whatever." He said and plopped back down.

Kyoshi started clapping with a one sided smile and stood up himself.

"I'm Kyoshi Misoyama, I like running around and climbing trees, my favorite food as a human was onigiri, I had a sister and mother, but I think they're dead." He said with a stale laugh while scratching the back of his head.

"Oh and a demon named Muzan adopted me, but I don't know where he is." Kyoshi said with a confused look on their faces.

""Wait what!!?"" The pair yelled.

"He adopted you!?" Keiko asked with a surprised look on her face.

"Yup." Kyoshi said, nodding his head.

"Seriously?!" Habuki asked.

"Yup." Kyoshi answered with the same head nod and closed eyes.

"He said I'll give you a place to live a happy life as long as I stay in contact with him." Kyoshi said.

The other two demons deflated as if they were balloons and the air was being released out of them.

"I see, so he wants us to watch and train his kid?" Habuki asked as a rhetorical question.

"Alright well where do we start? Clothes?" Keiko asked. Habuki looked at the clock they had and sighed.

"Nah, the sun'll be rising pretty soon. I guess we can start with some basics. As a demon you'll have natural powers and thanks to Muzan's blood, you'll be stronger than your average demon…"

Keiko and Habuki went on to explain to him the natural abilities that he should have like his accelerated growth rate, disease immunity, supernatural perception, flesh manipulation, immortality, regeneration, shapeshifting, demon blood arts and finally unlimited stamina.

Kyoshi was surprised by the ability he had received from being a demon.

"So how do I do all of this stuff?" He asked.

"That's what we'll be going over. If Muzan gave you a good amount of his blood then most of what we'll tell you should come naturally. Let's go into the training room first then I'll explain it to you." Habuki said.

They then left the room and went into the room they teleported into when coming into the base and teleport led again into a big room underground that was made of enchanted steel.

"Woah, was that your demon blood art?" Kyoshi asked with a sparkle in his eyes.

"Not really. Demon blood has special properties, so some of us can make seals for things like enchanting if our blood is good enough. It's kinda like alchemy if you know what that is."

"Nope."

"…Forget it. First we'll start with flesh manipulation. I don't know how much blood Muzan gave you, but even regular demons have the ability to alter their body. Kinda like this." Habuki said as he grew another pair of arms under his original ones.

"Woah!" Kyoshi exclaimed with his eyes widened.

"Any of us can do it." Keiko added as she made her hair grow and move around like she was using telekinesis.

"That's so cool!!" Kyoshi yelled. He looked at his hand with a bright smile and suddenly his fingers combined together and formed one sharp stake that was black and faded into an ashy gray color.

"I expected him to learn fast, but not this fast." Keiko said with a deadpan expression.

"So did I. Do you think Muzan is going to try to get him into the 12 Kizuki?" Habuki asked while looking at Kyoshi swinging around his stake hand.

"Maybe? Who knows?" Keiko said as she hunched her shoulders and sighed.

"We just have to look after him and that's it." She added. Habuki nodded and cleared his throat to gain Kyoshi's attention. He turned and looked at Habuki with confusion on his face.

"Turn your hand back to normal and we can move onto the next thing." He said. Kyoshi reverted his hand back to normal.

"Next is shapeshifting. We can't do as much as the 12 Kizuki or Muzan, but we can change our height and appearance at will. It's basically a higher level of flesh manipulation. Go ahead and give it a try. Picture yourself turning into something and do it just like you did with your hand."

Kyoshi's body suddenly shrunk and grew again before the color of his hair started changing colors along with his skin. Habuki yelled for him to stop and to go back to normal and he did so.

"Okay, it's pretty obvious that you've got that down pack, so let's move on. Other than immorality you have a strong regeneration factor and limitless stamina. That's basically everything that'll come naturally, so let's get into the actual training." Habuki said.

Keiko left that place for them to be alone while she went to her room.

"What type of fighter do you want to be? Ranged, close, more defensive? Well I don't care, I'm more of a close fighter. I still have muscle memory of the martial arts I studied as a human so I'll be teaching you a few things." Habuki said.

"Yes sir!" Kyoshi replied while saluting.

"Show me your guard."

Kyoshi raised his fist up, but it could barely be called a guard. His footing and stance were ass and the childish look on his face was annoying. Habuki sighed and went over and started adjusting his stance and the way his hands were positioned.

While he was human, Habuki practiced a martial art called Suikendo. It means 'The way of the fist that flows like water.'

While as a human he couldn't master the martial art, over the decades as a demon he's mastered them and added his own spin on them. Now he'll be teaching them to Kyoshi and hoped it wouldn't take too long for him to master it the way he did.
