"Like I was going to say before you barged in, the prince only wanted to marry you to protect you. He wanted to protect you from someone." "OK if you are really my father, why did you hide the fact that Kade can turn demon in a year or two huh? Shouldn't that be important to be prepared?" "I hid it because there was no need. I knew one of us would be here in case something happened to you two." I closed my eyes trying to calm myself. I felt myself turn and I looked at my father. "You look just like your mother. She was the same demon you are." Said father. He was about to touch my face when I panicked and ran. "I know where she is going Droll. She is going to the river where Eri is. Yes she found Eri already." Then all of them ran to try to catch up before it was too late.

I made it to the lake. I turned human to take a breather then turned back and jumped in. I went to where Eri told me to be to call her but when I got there, Eri was already there. Many of my kind have fled to a different part of the lake and are aiming to the ocean. My family are warriors. They would be staying here. When the time comes, they are going to hide me. Just as I was swimming up, I almost made it when I was attacked. 'No I can't breathe.' I opened my mouth panicking then passed out. When I woke up I was in a strange place. "Where? Where am I?" Then I felt pain on my right side. "Ow that hurts." I looked and it was bandaged with blood on it. 'What happened to me?' I said to myself. Then I heard footsteps. A handsome demon showed up. "Hello Zuri. Good to see you again." I looked at him confused for a minute. "Oh right you haven't got all your memories back. Should I tell you who I am?" "No. Wait a minute. May I?" He nodded in agreement. I looked at his face then touched the cheek with the scar on it. Then I had a flash back of him and how I met him. I don't recall how we became friends though. I let go of him and spoke. "I'm sorry for your cheek. How was I a demon back then when I just got my demon not that long ago?" "Hey I don't know much. Your uncle Aiden knows everything I'm sure you have questions about. I was only called in to try to calm you down. Its my job. Should I say was my job." "What happened?" "Its nothing. I'm sure when you get your memories back you will remember. All I can tell you is I knew Sora. I also know you had his baby and are engaged to my friend Hazel." "You know Hazel too?" "Yeah I do. Also take it easy. You were attacked by a sea monster with claws. I got most of the poison out but you need to go to the surface for the rest. The longer the poison is in you the harder it will be to leave your body. I will take you back." "OK but wait. Before we go, what is your name?" "Its Kei. Now let's go. Hold your breath." I did as I was told and we got to the surface fast.

"Aiden. She was poisoned. I got most of the poison out but the rest has to be done at the castle. Zala should be able to help. Zuri shouldn't be walking for awhile until you get the poison out. The more she moves the worse it will get." "Thanks Kei. Also thanks for saving her." "My pleasure sir. Now hurry." My father carried me and I saw Kei look at me worried then jumped back into the water. I felt so weak I passed out.

Then her father felt her go limp. "Dammit. We have to hurry. She passed out and she has a fever." Then we rushed as fast as we could. Aiden got ahold of Zala and she rushed over as well.

"She has a fever. How long has she been like this?" "At least a couple of hours." "Ok everyone stand back. This isn't going to be easy." She took the bandage off the wound and saw it. "Damn! That explains a lot." Said Zala. Then she put her hand on the wound, a green light appeared. 'This better work.' Said Zala in her head. Zuri was groaning it pain. "Hang in there Zuri! You can make it!" Then Zala did all she could and let her light down. She was a mess but it was to be expected.

After everything calmed down, Zuri started coughing. "Cough COUGH! Pant Pant Hmm. Kade." She said it so quietly no one heard her then Kade put his ear down. "What is it Zuri." "Kade." "Yes its me. How you feeling?" "I feel so weak. I want to see my baby and Hazel again." "You will don't worry." Then she fell asleep again. This time everyone had a feeling she would be fine and had a relieved sigh. "Kade stay with your sister. I'll talk to your uncle for a minute." "Sure dad." Then they all left and Kade held Zuri's hand.

Inside Zuri's head

"Hmm. Where am i?" "Zuri my child." "Mom?" Then I looked clearly and knew it was her. "Mom! I ran over to her and gave her a hug." "Its good to see you too daughter." Then they broke apart. "Mom what is happening? Do you know who it was that attacked back then?" "All I can tell you is that everything will work out. You and your brother will survive. The man that attacked will be stopped dead or alive that is all I can tell you. Also you need to go back. I'm glad your brother Kade survived. I never got to name him. I'm glad he has a name and was raised in a good home. You, well could have been raised better." "I know I have to go back. Mom have you seen sora up here? That is the one thing I wanted to ask before I go." "Yes he is. He won't be able to stay for a long time only a few minutes. I will be leaving now dear. Take care I love you." "I love you too mom." Then she disappeared and Sora come up. "Sora. I need to tell you something." I saw him smile then said, "I know. You had a little boy. You named him Rio." "I heard your last words. You would have been happy. Yes I was and am. Its ok for you to move on. I'm happy your starting. Remember if you ever miss me, I'm in your heart. Go to my parents house. There is a special box under my bed. I have something for you. You will know when you see it." "Sora I miss you. What shall I tell our son?" Sora smiled. He will know a little in the box. "Come on sis wake up. You've been asleep for a week now." "Hmm. Bye Sora and thank you." Then she was waking up. With her eyes still closed I called, "Kade. Kade." "Yes I'm here. Are you finally awake?" "I can't open my eyes too bright." "Oh sorry. There now try." Then she tried opening them and slowly opened her eyes. "Kade?" "Yes. Uncle is here too. Dad is on his way." "Have you had word on Hazel and the baby?" "Yes he and the baby are fine. He is at uncle Cass's place I'm sure right now." "Oh ok. Is the poison out now?" "Yes its out." "Good. Hey Kade. I saw mom and I saw Sora. She was happy that you went to a loving home. she said that she loved you and me. Sora told me he was happy I moved on and that I had a son and named him Rio. There is another thing. I have to go back home to where aunt and uncle live. I have to go to sora's parents house." "OK we will do that once you rest." "I'm not done. Mom said she knew the man that attacked but she wouldn't say. Just that you and I will survive Kade. I don't know why she said that. I'm scared. I don't want to be the only one to survive.
