Chapter 27 Zuri’s and Kade’s Surprise party

Not long after I went t the stand, I saw Rusty coming up. "Oh Rusty! I haven't seen you in ages!" "Yeah good to see you again. By the way nice demon form. I heard from my brother what happened. If you ever want to talk about not making swords anymore me know. I know how you feel." "I really do miss it." Then I paused. "But hey at least I get to still work selling them! I'm sure Jim will let you as well if you want!" "Maybe. Right now I want to look at the weapons you made." "Oh ok. Follow me. they are in this room!" I got excited but remembered I had a baby in my belly so calmed down. "Here they are. My specialty is daggers and you can see. I did make one sword. This one. I preferred daggers like grandma made." "Yes they look really nice." I saw him put his hand on them to admire them. "This might be a touchy subject but mind if I ask something?" "Sure." "What made you want to become a swordsmith?" "Haha oh that. Well. I used to be a reader growing up. Then I read a story about a boy who wanted to me a Sword smith. Its funny they are called swordsmiths but they make other things too. Also not only that our father was a swords smith. One day after reading that book, I asked my dad if I can go check it out. I was 15 at the time so I was old enough to go in. He agreed but I would have to watch. Then after I turned a year or two older, I could give it a shot. So that day I watched my father forge a sword. Then a year later, I actually tried to make my first sword. When I finished it I gave it to my father. The house I live in now was my childhood home. Maybe you should come over and see if you want, my fist sword." "Yeah sure." "Do you have any works left over from when you used to make them?" "Well I kept a few that didn't sell so yeah when you come over I can show you happily." "So do you like what I made so far?" "Yeah I like them a lot. After looking at them I like this one the best." Then the man followed me to the one I wanted. He got it for me and took it down. Then I went over and paid for it. "Thanks a lot." Then we finally finished and it was time to go home.

It was a few months and we had a cute little birthday party for Rio. Even uncle Ben came. I miss them so much. I hope uncle Lia comes for my birthday this year. Uncle Ben said he would talk to her. It will be my birthday at the end of this week. We celebrate Kade's birthday with mine since they are a week apart. I love sharing a birthday with my long lost brother. Haha he hates that but I love having a brother to annoy. As well as a boyfriend to annoy. Any way I have to get up for the day. I'm so tired with this pregnancy.

Then we will see who is big after. Plus you are going to watch the two kids anyway." "Haha yeah your right. By the way I finally talked to Soma." We were walking in the clothes store. "Oh really? What did he say?" "Well he said that he is focused on guarding you right now but he would consider it and smiled at me. "Oh I'm so happy for you! Oh I have to talk to father about something when we go back. I want to see if he can get someone so alternate so he can get stuff done. Maybe even go on a date with a certain someone." I giggled. "Hey now." "OK what about this outfit?" "No. No dresses until this bump is gone." "Fine. Oh my gosh. This is the most beautiful pair of pants. Oh and this shirt will be gorgeous with it." "Go Go try it on! Hurry!" I rolled my eyes and went to the dressing room.

I put on the maternity pants and shirt. "Wow this really does look nice. I like how they have clothes made specifically for demons." Then I walked out. The girls squealed. "You look cute!" said Kira. "Yeah I actually like it." then we got similar outfits. Then we went somewhere to eat and headed back home. I waved to the girls and thanked them.

I got home and went straight to my room with my bags. Then I put my clothes away. "Finally. Sigh." I laid on my bed and rubbed my belly. "Ok little man. Lets rest." I found out my baby was a boy. Dad was home with the baby and everyone else was gone. I heard a knock on the door. "Yeah dad come in." He came in. "Where is Rio?" "Playing in his play pen." "Are you ok?" "Yeah this little guy was giving me a hard time when I was shopping. So I decided to try to rest for a bit." "Good idea. You remind me of your mother when she was pregnant with you. She was he same age as you when she had you." "I miss mom at this time. I'll miss her when I get married." I hugged my dad crying. "I know. I miss her too Zuri." I felt his tears on me as well. Once we calmed down dad said, "Ok now. I proposed to Uria. She said yes. We are going to wait after the war to get married." "No Dad. You need to marry soon. Tomorrow isn't promised. When I get married, we are going to have a double marriage. Talk to her about it. I already talked to Hazel and he agreed. I have a feeling this little guy isn't going to wait another 2 or 3 months."  The day of my birthday came. Hazel said he wanted me to go on a date with me for my birthday. He wouldn't tell me where. I got dressed in my favorite outfit and we left.

When we were walking, I noticed where we were going. Wait why are we going to the house?" "You'll see." Then just as I got there a big "SURPRISE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" Was up there. I didn't know Kade was behind me. "Woah that scared me." said Kade. "Oh Kade there you are." Then we went to join everyone. Hazel was helping me walk. He found a spot for me to sit down. "Sigh. Thanks Hazel." Then everyone mingled with me and Kade.

I saw my aunt Lia with uncle Ben and the kids. I also saw Rusty. "Aunt Lia! Ben! Kids! Oh and Rusty! I'm so good to see you all! I would run to you, but as you see I can't." I joked. Then Lia hugged me glad that I was ok. She said I looked just like my mother that she was proud of me. "Hey Can I see Rusty now? We can catch up in a bit." "Yeah sure." Then Rusty came over. "I saw your stomach when we met, but I didn't want to guess wrong." "Oh its fine. I'm having a little boy. Uh so I have something for you. I know its my birthday, but I didn't know when I would see you again so." I went in my bag and took out the dagger from my bag. "No way. Are you serious?" "Yes I'm serious. I saw how much you admired it so I bought it. I was happy to see you again to give it to you." "I will gladly accept it. Thank you. So how are you feeling?" "I've been tired since its getting closer. He has been giving me a hard time though. You can touch my belly if you want." I saw him staring at my stomach. He felt my stomach and I felt my baby boy move. "He kicked!" "Yeah he has been beating me up inside. Rio wasn't nearly as bad. I have a feeling this one will be even more of a handful." I need to talk with Hazel. Could you get him for me?" "Yeah sure." Hazel ran over.

"Are you ok Zuri!" "Yes I'm fine. I was just thinking about the battle in 2 months." "Oh don't scare me like that." "Sorry. Still. Who will take our baby boy to safety?" "Dad said he is going to safety with Uria since she is pregnant. He will take Rio and our baby to safety. A few days before." "Ok that works." The party went on then it was time to go. Everyone said they would clean up. Just as I stood, I felt liquid trickling down my leg. "Shit! Hazel! Hazel!" He and Dad ran to me. "My water just broke!" "Shit! OK! You got Rio Right Dad?" said Hazel. "Yeah hurry. I will tell the others." "Thanks." Then he picked me up. Then ran.

We made it to the infirmary and I had to start pushing already. Hazel held my hand and I squeezed it as I had to push. Finally after 4 or 5 pushes, our baby boy came into this world. "It's a boy." Said the doctor. Then he cleaned the baby up and wrapped him up to give to me. He handed me the baby. "He's beautiful. What shall we name him?" "Lets name him Seth. I like that name." "Yes lets name him that. Hey little Seth. I'm your mommy. Daddy is right beside us." Then I felt strange. "Hazel I need you to take the baby now." He took the baby and looked worried. "Get the doctor in here now!" Then I started closing my eyes and couldn't move. When the doc got there he rushed over to find out what was going on.

"OK I need you to bring the baby out of the room please. Don't worry she will be ok if we work on her now." Hazel did as he was told, and he saw Droll, Kade, and Tyde all rushing in. "Where is Zuri?" said Kade. "Something happened but don't know what. The doctor is working on her now." They saw him holding the baby. "Yes this is our baby boy Seth. Since she got a chance to hold him already, Dad do you want to hold him?" "Sure." "Rio is at uncle Cass's place." "Ok we will pick him up later." Then finally the doc came out.

"How is she doc?" "It will be touch and go. You can bring the baby in now. They can come in too." Once they were all in, the doc said, "Try putting the baby on Zuri's chest. Sometimes that helps with skin to skin contact." He unwrapped baby Seth and put him on Zuri's chest. She put the blanket over him. It seemed like it was working. "Ok now take him and wrap him up. It looks like its working. She will be fine. There is something you should know." "Uh can you guys wait outside for a bit?" Then all went out and the doc explained. "She maybe be fine now, but because of what happened, she won't be able to get pregnant again." "Are-are you sure?" "Yes I am so sorry. There is no treatment for a damaged uterus." "Sigh. We can get through it. Thank you doctor." Then finally a few hours later Zuri woke up. "Hmm. Hazel?" "Yes I'm here. How are you feeling?" "A little sore." "That's to be expected. There is something you should know." "I know. I heard when I was asleep. I can't get pregnant again right?" "Yes. So if you want a little girl or 2 we can adopt." "I was going to talk to you about that. After the war I wanted to adopt weather I couldn't have kids or not. At least I won't have to worry about being pregnant when I am fighting out there anymore. Where is everyone?" "Oh outside waiting should I let them in?" "Yeah go head. Oh and Uncle Cass will be here with Rio to meet his baby brother." "Ok that's good. Sigh." "Are you ok?" "Yeah I'm fine. Just tired." "Ok I'll look after the baby you rest." Hazel gave him some power milk. She couldn't produce enough Milk for him. "I'll be right here." Then he got up and told them to come in. Droll said he had to go but will be back with Uria.
