Chapter 19: Untitled

After all that, people were curious on how I was going to react. They all gave me a worried look. I had a strait fast on right now. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. "If you will excuse me. I need some time on my own. Hazel Kade father. Take care of Rio." Then I headed out not caring who was calling me.

When I was walking I did it unconsciously and it took me to the forest. I looked around and didn't even know why I was here. "Huh? How did I end up here? Strange. Well I better look around then." So I went and looked around for a place to sit and relax. Then I saw someone I never seen before. Just as I was about to go up my head hurt again. I feel to my knees from pain. Then I heard the man speaking again. I will come again on this exact day A year from now. You better be prepared. Then my head stopped and I collapsed weakly. I was sure I yelled loud enough for the man to hear me. I tried to get up but couldn't. My body was so weak. I heard some footsteps coming closer, and my eyes were fighting to stay awake to see who it was. Before he could ask me anything I blacked out. "Shit she passed out. She looks like a royal. I better take care of her properly." The man picked her up, and took her to the cabin.

A few hours later she woke up. "Hmm. Where am i? HuH?" Then the man said, "Good your awake. You had a fever and I heard you screaming. How are you feeling now?" "To weak to eat or walk right now." "Can you drink anything?" "I can try. Who are you?" "Im nobody don't worry about it. Just call me Kiz." "OK Kiz. Thanks for helping me." "Here see if you can drink this." Then he helped me drink some broth so I had something in my stomach. "So what happened out there?" "I just had my normal headaches." "Are they usually this bad?" "Sometimes." "What is your name girl?" "Zuri." "Are you really Zuri? Are you Aria's daughter?" "Uh y-yeah." "Oh sorry if I startled you. I mean you no harm. I'm glad you survived. I haven't seen you since the attack." "If your talking about the attack 11 years ago, I was with my aunt and uncle so I would have been safe. Also my brother survived as well. He has a name Kade." "I see well I better get you back home before they have the whole palace looking for you." "I'm sure they already do. I May not be strong enough, can you take me part of the way back?" "Yes sure." He got my arm and out it around his neck and we headed back.

Once we saw the castle he let me go. "Well this is as far as I can take you. I'm sure someone will get you shortly." "Thank you Kiz. I hope we meet again." Then he left and I had to hold onto trees to head back.

Before I could get out of the forest, I saw Kade. "Kade. Kade!" Then he heard me and shouted, "I found her!" I let go of the tree. I almost collapsed when Kade caught me. "Hang in there sis. Hazel is almost here." Shit my fever might be coming back. I'm so tired. Just before she went limp, Hazel caught her. "Zuri! Zuri." Then she couldn't hear anymore either. She was now completely out.

"Get a doctor ready now!" The others rushed and got to the palace before we did. "Dammit! She has a bad fever. Hang in there Zuri. Please hang in there." Said Hazel worriedly.

They got to the palace, and rushed her to her room for the doc to check on her. "Here she is doc." Said Hazel. Then he laid her down and the doc examined her. "She will be fine. She must have had another headache. This one was pretty severe this time. She must have gotten tired out and weakened. I'm going to give her a shot for her fever. She will need rest." "Thank you doc." Then everyone had a relief sound. "Kade stay with your sister. If anything happens, shout we will hear." "Ok sure."

It was already the next morning and she was still not awake yet. "Her fever is light now. Hopefully she will wake up soon." Said Kade. "Hmm. Ow. That really hurt." "Zuri? Zuri! Thank goodness your awake! Let me go get Hazel." He went to the door and I heard him yell, "Everyone! She is finally awake!" Hazel went up with the baby. "How are you feeling?" "Hmm. Not as weak as before. I have something to tell you all. Help me sit up." Then people helped me sit up. "I'm sure you know I had a headache in the forest. There is a reason for that. I heard that man's voice in my head again. How long was I asleep anyway?" "Well it was almost night when you got home and its morning now." "Ok so not long. good. He said that a year from when he contacted me to the day, he would be back. He told me to be prepared." "Well now we know when he is coming. How should we be prepared?" "Kade remember what I told you about Rio." "I know. What if I turn demon before that?" "Then I'll have Aiden take him where he is taking Zener and his future child." "Ok then."

"Did they say this this wound would be done in 2 months?" "Yes Zuri." "I need to see Eri. I need to go home and see Zuri as soon as possible." "Woah relax. You've got awhile. Rest another day or 2 then we can go home ok?" "I'll try." They helped me lay back down. "By the way, your not hungry are you?" said Hazel. "Nah. I'll eat when I get up again." "Ok then. Sleep well." I closed my eyes and tried to sleep. Every time I closed them, I see that vision that Zala showed me. Sigh. "What's wrong? Can't sleep?" said Kade. "No. Every time I close my eyes I see that vision Zala showed me about the past. I can't stop thinking about it. what if she isn't showing me the whole thing? What if I actually killed someone Kade?" "Sigh. Oh boy. Sister listen. It was the past. Whatever happened there is over. Yes Kei will have the scars for life but he is alive isn't he? I'm here so relax." Then I closed my eyes again, I felt his hand go through my hair which was comforting. It helped me fall into a deep sleep.

A few hours later, I woke up. I saw Kade asleep holding my hand. I just watched his pretty black with blue streak hair that he was born with fall onto my hand. "Oh your awake Zuri." "Yeah I am. You know when dad was human, he had the same color hair as you." "Really?" "Yeah I sort of remember when I was little I loved to touch his hair because it was so pretty. I have moms hair though. White with icy purple streaks. I also have pale skin for a human you got the more normal look from dad. You do have moms eyes though." "I do?" "Yeah I got dad's of course. I got dad's ears and chin." "Haha oh Zuri. Want me to get you something to eat?" "Yeah just get me some fruit please." "OK anything to drink?" "Just water." "Ok I'll have someone bring it up." He had one of the maids pass by get someone to get her fruits and water.

A little bit later the food came up and she started eating. "So where is Hazel?" "Taking care of Rio somewhere." "OK good. Uh I think I feel well enough to travel now. Can we leave tomorrow?" "That's not up to me. That's up to Hazel." "Can you talk him into it if he says no. He is your brother." "Haha yeah but he is your fiancé. So I think that trumps brother." "Can you at least try?" "Yeah but lets see what he says. I'll go get him. Finish eating. Take your time." "Yeah I will." Then I saw him leave and I continued eating my fruit.

I just finished eating when Hazel and the baby came in. "Hazel? Can we leave tomorrow? I feel fine now. I feel much better than a few hours ago." "Let me get the doctor and see what he says ok?" "OK." "Kade watch the baby for a minute." "Yeah sure." He sat on the couch and held Rio. "Hey little man. Are you giving your daddy a hard time? Its ok I will be your partner in crime on that when you get older." "Hey Kade!" "What? Its just brotherly bugging. I have to teach him for the future children you and Hazel will have." I just rolled my eyes. I grabbed a book and started reading it.

The doc came in and gave me a checkup. I was fine to travel tomorrow. Just that I had to be careful. "Thank you doctor." "Take it easy now." Then he left out the door. "Ok good. Well I'm not sleepy now. I need to walk around. Lets put the baby in the stroller and go for a walk in the garden? I need exercise." Hazel agreed. Kade did too. "By the way where is father?" "He is talking to Aiden about boring business." "Ok lets go then."

I went outside and breathed in the fresh air. Then we started walking. Rio was enjoying it too because he was laughing. We talked a bit about what we would do when we got back home. Also fun things we would do for Rio's first birthday and what I wanted to do for mine.

We finally got our walk in. Now it was time to go back inside. Then my wound started hurting again. I held my wound and decided to try to hide it. "I'm going to eat lunch in my room. Can you bring it up? Kade." "Yeah sure." He didn't ask questions. I went straight back up to my room. I looked down at my wound. "Damn! If we don't leave soon I won't make it back to Eri's father." Then I heard the door and I hurriedly put down my shirt. "Hey thanks Kade." "Here you go. Are you feeling ok?" "Can you keep a secret Kade?" "Yeah sure." I lifted my shirt up. "It started back up again." "Yeah. Don't tell anyone. I just have a feeling we won't make it back if we don't leave now. I have a favor to ask you." "Ok." "After I am done eating I'm going to tell Hazel I am meeting a friend in the woods. I need you to cover for me. Give me awhile before they head over ok?" "Zuri. Are you sure your going to be ok?" "Yeah I will. I just can't promise." "Understandable." He sat next to me while I ate.

When I finished, he helped me out my window. Then I looked around and headed toward the forest. "Be careful Zuri."

I whistled, then I saw Kei. "Good you're here. I need to leave now before anyone notices. Kade helped me out." I showed him what was going on. "Ok lets go." I turned demon and swam with him as far as I could go before I had to take a breather. Then I turned again. Every time I stayed in my demon form longer and longer. Until I was able to stay under for a day. In the water is a shorter distance than by carriage. Especially when I can swim fast. Finally we were halfway there. Kei wanted us to rest.

"OK we should rest. I don't think it will spread that fast." We were both out of breath right now. "Yeah but for a few hours." "Yeah sure. Get some rest." Then we both rested for a few hours then went on until we got to land before he got to the gates and took a nap then we went through the gates and ran to the lake where Eri was.
