Debut Disaster!

Feng Hei Lang yawned as she stretched her hands to get out of bed. Today was the day when everything she dreamed of would come true. It was the day when she would finally be able to debut and show the world what she can do.

Excitedly, she pumped her fist. Feng Hei Lang couldn't wait to finally achieve her dream. After freshening up, she ran out of her plain room and into a kitchen. Her mother was reading the newspaper and eating an omelette while her father was deep-frying some Chinese donut in a pot.

Her mother, Feng Lei Shou, glanced up from the newspaper and a wide smile spread across her face when she saw Feng Hei Lang. She stood up and gave Feng Hei Lang and big hug. "I'm so proud of you, honey. You can finally make your debut today!"

Her father, Feng Tie Luo waved the spatula at her. "Morning, Hei Hei! I made your favorite this morning! Chinese donuts!"

Feng Hei Lang smiled in her mother's embrace. Everything was perfect. She had a loving family and her dreams were about to come true.

Her father quickly placed two Chinese donuts onto a plate. "Hurry up and eat! Then, you got to go up and change. You don't want to be late to your debut, Hei Hei!"

Hei Hei was a nickname that her parents made for her when she was little. It meant 'Black Black,' symbolizing her jet black hair.

Feng Hei Lang quickly gulped down her breakfast and passed the plate back to her father. "Thanks Dad!"

Then, she rushed back into her room and pulled out the outfit she was supposed to wear. It was a silk dress that reached all the way to the floor. It was silver and it also came with a beautiful wolf mask that covered the top half of her face.

It suited her, as her name meant "Black Wolf." When she would go on stage wearing this, it would an unforgettable experience for everyone watching.

Feng Hei Lang almost let out a squeal of excitement. 'I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!! MY DEBUT IS FINALLY HERE!'

She quickly slipped the silver silk dress over her slender body. Then, she brushed her hair back before slipping a silver hair pin, pulling back her bangs. Feng Hei Lang took a box of silver dress shoes from underneath her bed.

She smiled when she saw them. 'I finally get to wear them! After such a long time of waiting...'

With a quick movement, they fit perfectly on her feet. Feng Hei Lang carefully walked down to the kitchen to face her parents again. Her mother spotted her first and gave her another hug. "Ah! Look at my dear little Hei Hei! You look like an adult now!"

Feng Hei Lang smiled and slipped out of her grip. "Mom! You're going to mess up my hair and I'm not little! I'm seventeen years old!"

Her mother patted her head. "Yes, Hei Hei. Now, sit here and lemme apply some faint makeup on you." She pointed to the chair next to her.

Feng Hei Lang obediently sat down and placed the wolf mask in front of her. She decided not to put it on till she was heading out.

Her mother grabbed a makeup box from a cabinet. With a few strokes and brushes, Feng Hei Lang looked completely refreshed. Her lips were a shade of baby pink, and there was a slight blush on her cheeks. The pink looked like strawberries in contrast to her very light skin tone.

Her father came back from the living room with a pair of car keys in his hand. "Hei Hei, we can leave right now for the studio if you like!"

Feng Hei Lang smiled. "Yeah! I would love too!" She grabbed the mask and gently put it on her face.

With the mask on, everyone can still see her peerless beauty, but no one would be able to recognize her as the overly excited girl that only got out of bed an hour ago.

Feng Hei Lang stepped out of the house and was about to enter her father's car. However, she felt a pricking feeling at the side of her head. She lifted her hand and saw blood of her hand. 'Blood? Why is there...' Pain hit her and she instantly collapsed into darkness. Her mother's scream was the last thing she heard.

Feng Hei Lang was now in a sea of darkness. She tried to process what happened. 'I was about to enter the car and then something poked me in the head. And then I reached up and...THERE WAS BLOOD! Oh my god, am I dead?'

She looked around in the sea of darkness and found nothing. Feng Hei Land tried to scream, but it quickly vanished in the empty darkness. Her body was simply floating in an empty void, with nothing to keep her company. Tears slowly fell from her eyes. 'Everything I worked for is now gone. I hope father and mother is okay...They're probably in a lot of pain over my death...'

Feng Hei Lang punched the air and yelled, "GOD DAMN ITTTT! EVERYTHING I WORKED FOR IS GONE! LET ME SEE MY PARENTS AGAIN!" She kept screaming until she realized there really was nothing out there.

Feng Hei Lang curled into a ball and started crying. "Mom...Dad..."

A melodic, sweet voice echoed throughout the emptiness. "Black Wolf, do you want to live?"

Feng Hei Lang instantly jumped up and looked around the darkness, trying to figure out where the voice came from. When she couldn't find the location, she yelled, "Yes! Yes I do!"

The voice laughed. Its laughter was as seductive as its voice. "Black Wolf, I, the Demon Goddess of Darkness, bless you with power of one-time reincarnation. Enjoy your time in the immortal world of cultivation, Black Wolf."

Feng Hei Lang had a million questions spinning in her mind. "Demon Goddess? Reincarnation? Immortal world of cultivation???" She quickly yelled, "Wait! I have a question-"

Before Feng Hei Lang could finish speaking, a bright white light engulfed all of her senses.
