Misjudged

"I can't leave without you, Simon." She repeated while looking into his eyes." You're all I have left. My whole life just disappeared. I'm supposed to...be this other thing,live this other way." She added. Simon looked so happy thinking that Monroe love him the way he did but his expression completely changed when she speaks again. "You are my best friend" and kissed his cheek. He's got disappointed in the end and just looked into the ground.

"Well… no accounting for taste." Izzy suddenly speaked from glancing into Monroe and Simon and took her phone as her mirror and her lipstick and put it on.

"Yeah, you should talk" Alex replied sarcastically to her. And she smirked as a reply.

As the three observed Monroe and Simon having moment. Alex turned his gaze to Jade wanting to disapprove, Monroe again.

"Can I just say one thing?" Alex said and looked directly into Jade's eyes. He then looked at him frowning.

"You will, whatever I say, so shoot " he replied.

"You think you know Monroe, right? But you may not. Think about who her father is." He again contradicted. Jade glared at him couldn't believe that he said it.

"You know what,Alex? Do not start this again with me, Alex!"He replied angrily.

"She just came out of nowhere,Jade." He said with a sense of jealousy in his eyes.

"She has no one." He exclaimed.

"Just listen to me for once,Ja---" He was not able to finish his sentence when Jade speaked.

"Alex STOP!" He blurted out, he's expression was fuming and gritting his teeth. Monroe was startled upon hearing his furious voice and stared at both of them from a mile away. Izzy started to walked as she knew how will it ends.

Jade regretted shouting at him so he sighs.It's the first time that he shouted at him. "Just... stop."he said looking into the ground and couldn't look into his eyes because of shame.

"I'm older than you, Jade. I'm not in your shadow." He said. All this time, he keep thinking about what Hashe told him back at the headquarters.

"If you really feel that way about her...why did you help us tonight?" He replied. Alex didn't answer and just stared at him for a minute and walked away. While Monroe and Simon are looking into their direction listening to their conversation. Jade gritted his as he looked at Alex's back. He then turned around and gazed at Monroe. They made eye contact that lasted for a while. Simon on the other hand felt jealous of the way they look at each other. And he sighed. But to his surprise, when he looked into her neck, he could clearly see the veins on her neck that's pulsating really fast.

Later at night, Monroe was sleeping on her bed when Simon sneaked into her room and just stared at her while she's sleeping. He got confused when Monroe moved, shaking her head and her expression was frightened. She's murmuring something from her sleep.

He got worried so he went closer to her and held her shoulder and shook it to wake her up. "Hey! Hey! Roe! Wake up!" After several minutes she got up and called him.

"Jade…" she said gasping for air.

"What?" He replied.

"Mom, I don't wanna do this." Her young self said to her mom frightened.

"She won't be a child forever, Jocelyn." Steven said wouldn't want to agree to her decision.

"For now, I don't want her part of our world." Her mom replied while fixing the rope surrounding her body. And Steven reached his hand into her head and took her memories.

She turned from left to right and gasped in her bed. She is having a nightmare. When she got up, a guy was sitting beside her while staring at her promptly. At first, she thought it was Jade.

"Hey! It's okay, I'm here. You're safe." The guy said with Jade's voice.

"Jade…" she said frowning and breathing heavily.

"What? Are you okay? You still seem… kind if freaked." He replied as he caressed her cheeks.

She blinked many times and gulped when she heard a different voice again, she realized it wasn't Jade but it's Simon.

"Simon." She exhales.

"Hey." He smiled hesitantly." I got you. You're okay. Must have one hell of a nightmare.?" He asked.

*Exhale*"You have no idea." She replied and looked away and thinking about her dream." I was trapped in the chair tied up and my mom was there. She kept telling this guy to protect me, but then he reached his hand into my skull and ripped my brain." She said pretty confused.

"Hello, Freddy Krueger." He said half laughing.

*Sighs* "Tell me about it." She replied and put some strands of her hair into the back. "What are you doing here anyway? Shouldn't you be in the infirmary?" She asked confused.

"Uh, I just... really needed to see you." He hesitated and looked down.

She felt kinda guilty of what happened to him earlier and she wanted to explain herself and apologize.

She held his hand and said "I am really really sorry. My messed up life put you in danger."

Suddenly, Jade arrived from the door but he stopped upon hearing that Simon was already there.

"I'm fine." Simon replied.

"No, if those Vampires hurt you...I couldn't leave with myself. You're all I've got left." She with guilt in her voice.

Jade gritted his teeth upon hearing those words. He couldn't believe she said those words to Simon and most of all, he couldn't believe himself for feeling this kind of weird sudden jealousy? ''Is it even jealousy?" He said to himself. He shook his head, seemed erasing the thought he created on his mind and walked out…

"Don't get me wrong, I'm totally grateful that your friends got me out before the vampires drained me like a big gulp." He seriously said.She just chuckled as a reply."But… How well do you know this Jade guy? Can you trust him?" He added.

Her expression changed upon hearing him doubting Jade." I think so." She said so sure." I mean, he saved my life… and yours." She added.

"True. But I was thinking...all of this craziness started the minute you bumped into him at the Pandemonium. You think that's just a coincidence?" He asked with so much doubt in his face.

"Honestly, I don't even know what to think anymore. All I know is I have to get my memories back. I need to know who I really am. Maybe… *inhales* maybe I saw where my mom hid the cup,and...and if I could just remember, I could save her." She said letting him understand her situation." I wanna put all these behind me. But I-I don't know this world. I don't even know where to start looking. I'm… I'm j-just lost." She said stammering and frowned. He looked at her with pity.

"Hey… okay." He sit properly closer to her."Let's start with what we know,okay?" He said to let her calm down. "We know that dreams are remnants of the memories." He added.

"Right,yeah." She answered confused.

"You saw your mom in the nightmare,before the guy was reaching into your brain." He said recalling what she said a while ago.

"Yeah, she… she called him Steven. It's completely random, I never--" She said still confused and didn't finish her sentence when Simon interrupted and remembered hearing it from somewhere.

"Steven?" He asked just to clarify if he heard it right.

"Maybe" she replied. "Why how do you know that name?" She asked him confused.

"I heard it from the vampire." He replied chuckling and added "You know, the shockingly hot one,it was…" she raised her brows while smirking seeing his reaction. "Hehe Sorry, uh, Barbara… she was super pissed at this Steven guy when I told her that someone took your memories." He explained. Her face lit up upon hearing it to Simon.

She smiled widely when she come up with an idea. "Simon! Simon, you are amazing!" She exclaimed while chuckling." You've just… you've just given me my first solid lead." She said excitedly and jumped off the bed.

"I did? Awesome! Wait where are you going?" He asked when she quickly ran to get her slippers and a blazer.

"I have to find Jade and tell him about Steven." She replied with a wide smile.

"Oh." The only thing that came out his mouth.

"What would I do without you." She said and hugged him and ran quickly out of the room happily.

"Really?Again? I'm such an Idiot." He said to himself when she disappeared and he turned around to look at himself in the mirror.

But to his surprise, he's mouth is bleeding upon seeing his face in the mirror "Oh God." He couldn't find any reason as to how did he get this blood in his mouth. And to add more of his shockness, he saw Barbara in the reflection of the mirror walking towards laughing. He then quickly turned around to check if she's there but he didn't see anything and the blood in his mouth was gone.

"I gotta get out of here." He said frightened enough to run out of the room.
