Chapter 32: The Sapphire
“So, what are you saying?” Detrick asked, gesturing towards the baby. “Is this Mordic?”
“Unlikely,” said the demon. “Mordic was a full grown man, not an infant. But that dragon we saw back in the witch’s domain matches his description. And then, do you remember seeing that lone silver dragon flying high above all the others?”
Detrick and Cecilia’s mouth fell open. “Are you saying you think Sebastian is their offspring?” Cecilia asked.
“Yes,” the sword replied. “In fact, I’m sure of it.”
“Are they all shapeshifters?” Detrick asked.
“I do not believe the silver dragon is a shifter,” said the demon. “And since each egg would likely have its own unique genetics, not all of their babies would be shifters either. In fact, I would think very few would have inherited that particular trait.”
“Genetics? What?” Detrick asked.
