Justin left his sword inside the simulation space so Attica could watch over them.
He went to the front door. There was no sign of killing intent coming from the person outside, neither was he on guard. He could tell the person wasn't harmed either so what exactly was he doing in his front door?
There was only one way to find out.
Justin opened the door, ready for combat but the moment he saw who it was, his fighting spirit fell.
"Oh, uh… I came to deliver newspapers." The boy said.
It turned out to be the commoner boy who delivered newspapers around the area. How did he come across their house that was deep in the woods?
"Oh uh, you're Justin right?" He asked. "You remember me, don't you? I'm Elias. You used to snag my newspapers from me."
Justin couldn't particularly remember him but he did have a vague memory of it. Well, he bullied too many people there was no way he'd be able to keep account of each and everyone.
"What do you want? I don't read newspapers." Justin said.
"I know that. I just walked around and came across this place. I didn't think there'd be a house here." Elias said a bit awkwardly and Justin sighed.
"Elias or whatever you called yourself, I don't need company so would you mind going back the way you came?" He said and closed the door.
Elias stood there speechless. He didn't expect to see Justin there. He took out one of his newspapers and looked at the front page. It was filled with news about Justin and how the entire capital was searching for him.
There was even a reward for whoever finds him. Now, he had found him but could he just tell them where he was hiding? What if he later came after him for exposing his hideout?
"What to do?" He asked himself.
"Who was that, brother?" Alexia asked, seeing him enter the simulation space.
"It's no one. Just a passerby." Justin responded.
"Brother, my dress got torn." Alicia said out and showed him the back of her training suit. It had a huge tearing from her neck down to her waist.
"Wha…how did that happen?"
"Alexia did it." Alicia pointed and Justin turned to her, surprised.
"Alexia?"
"Yeah, she released aura." Attica reported. "It was little with little damage so her sister didn't get hurt."
"You taught her how to release aura?"
"No. I swear. She did it all on her own." Attica said, raising both hands in her defence. "These girls are strong. At first, the sword just caught on fire so I thought she had some sort of fire abilities but then she swung the sword just now and it slashed lightly and Alicia just happened to be in front of her."
"So you're saying she released aura on her own? It's dangerous." Justin exclaimed.
"I was shocked and she did it with a wooden sword." Attica pointed out and Justin's eyebrows furrowed. "This is what's left of the wooden sword." She showed him a tiny twig and he laughed.
"Seriously, I don't know what to think about this matter." He turned to the girls. "I keep wondering about the identity of the morons that left you guys in the slum." He rubbed their heads each. "You're so talented!" He smiled.
"Brother looks better when he smiles." Alexia stated and Alicia nodded in agreement. "But brother often talks to himself which is creepy." Once again, Alicia nodded in agreement.
Justin just shook his head lightly. He couldn't blame them for thinking it was creepy since they couldn't really see Attica or hear the system's voice.
"Alright, let's go shopping." He said and took a look in his inventory. He still had two handfuls of gold left so it was enough.
But just in case, he decided to get the rest of his magic beast cores appraised.
"Let's go." The girls went up to their rooms and changed clothes.
Once they were done, they strolled through the forest for a while before Justin used his warp to take them to the centre of the capital.
"Hurry up and pick something nice. We need to be out of here in ten minutes." He instructed and they nodded.
"Yes!" They hurried towards the clothes to pick whatever catches their eye.
"Can I get nice training suits for the girls?" He asked the attendant. "They're running about and are bound to forget what we're actually here for."
The attendant giggled a bit.
"Kids are like that. I'll get some new designs out for you to see." She said and walked away for a while.
She returned with a rack of children's training suites.
"You're a really responsible guardian and I can tell the girls are happy." She said and he nodded, though he didn't really hear what she was saying because he was listening to Attica who was reporting the situation outside.
Each time they went out, he tasked Attica to scan the area to make sure there were no guards around or anyone who seemed to be after him.
There weren't any guards so they thought they were safe for now but little did they know that a search warrant had been issued to find him and the people after him were not just the guards. Even commoners were looking out for him.
"Brother, look at this." Alicia ran over to him, showing him the nice broach she found.
"It's nice. It'll look good on you." He said and she blushed lightly.
"But I got this for brother." This stunned him.
"For me?" She nodded.
"It's nice but it's for children. I'm not a child."
"But brother isn't much older either." She pointed out and he shook his head.
"That's true but… " he paused, sensing something was wrong.
The 'danger waves' were signalling him and it was like a heavy boulder pressing against his heart.
"Where's Alexia? Where's your sister?" He asked and Alicia looked back.
"She was right behind me." They both walked to the back of the clothes rack where they both were, only to find a man holding onto a gagged and struggling Alexia.
"You shit… !" But before Justin could act, he disappeared, leaving a scroll behind. He used a teleportation scroll.
"Oh no. Where did he take her?"
Attica came out and seeing what was outside, she came back in immediately to report.
"Master, there is a group of commoners outside and they're all armed. It seems they're waiting for you to come out." She reported.
"What does that matter now? I need to find Alexia." He gritted his teeth and Attica gulped.
"Master, they…they have Alexia."
