Chapter 21: Otome and Jax Part 1

Last time, Delilah's father is now lying low at the house with her and her mother. She is happy beyond belief. As she knows, this won't last forever. So, she lives it up for the moment.

At school, Rea asked questions.

So what does your father look like, Delilah? Rea asked. I really can't explain it. I replied. The emperor looks like Delilah with the Crimson hair and mahogany eyes. The only difference is he sometimes gives out annoying request. Valkyrie replied. How could you say that, Valkyrie? I asked. Bell and I do not get along with each other. Valkyrie replied. Bell? Hey Jax, you have a visitor. Zia replied. He wakes up and rubs his eyes. Why would I have a visitor? Jax asked. He walks out of his room, to his surprise. Hi, Jax. Are you feeling better? Otome asked. I am getting better. Jax replied. Is he becoming shy? Zia thought. When you fainted from overworking yourself, I grabbed you before you hit the floor. Otome replied. So you are the person who grabbed my brother? Zia asked. Yes, I was a little worried about him. Otome replied. Alexandre said something about face planted in her lap. Jax thought. Rea told me you were having problems with your Chemistry 101 class? Jax asked. Yes, but I am not failing the class. Otome replied. Let me see what you are having a problem with. Jax replied. As time flies, Otome looked down at her phone.

Otome: What do you want?

Takashi: Why do you always give me attitude, Otome?

Otome: You are a pain, Takashi.

Takashi: Dad was wondering where you are.

Otome: What time is it?

Takashi: It is six. What are you doing?

Otome: Oh no, I have passed my curfew.

Takashi: Are you on your way home?

Otome pushes her phone over to the left.

I can take you home. Jax replied. What? Your mom forbid you to leave your house. Otome replied.

Takashi: Who are you talking to?

Otome sighs.

My mom is working late tonight. So I can take you home. Jax replied.

Takashi: Otome?

Otome hangs up her phone.

What about your sister? Otome asked. I will have to buy her double fudge brownies to shut her up. Jax replied.

Otome giggles.

Let's get going. Jax replied. Alright. Otome replied.

Where are you going? Zia asked. I am taking her home. Jax replied. Why should I let you leave? Zia asked. I will buy your favorite double fudge brownies. Jax replied. Go ahead and I will keep it from mom. Zia replied. Come on, Otome. Jax replied. Ok Jax. Otome replied. He ran to his car. Watch my brother for me, Otome. Zia replied. Sure. Otome replied.

As Otome got into his car, he was happy.

It still has gas in it. Jax replied. Where do you live by the way? Jax replied. I live in Orléans Heights. Otome replied. That's not far. It's fifteen minutes ago. Jax replied.

He started the car.

He turned on the radio.

What do you want to listen to? Jax replied. This fine. Otome replied. Why don't you buy those fudge brownies now? Otome asked. The store is in the neighborhood you live in, so I am happy. It's killing two birds with one stone. Jax replied. That is true. Otome replied.

As they entered Orléans Heights, the guard appeared.

Jax stop and show them my I.D. Otome replied. Hey Ms. Date, you are never late coming home. Acelin replied. I know, Acelin. Otome replied. Have a great rest of the night. Acelin replied. Is the store still open? Otome asked. It is opened until eight. Acelin replied. Thanks Ace. Otome replied. Let's go. Otome replied. Yeah let's go to the store. Jax replied. As they went into the store, a familiar face to them appeared.

Jax and Otome? Luce asked. Hey Luce. Jax and Otome replied. How do you know who Luce? Jax asked. No time, Fudge Brownies. Otome replied. Are you looking for the Lucie Brownies? Luce asked. Yes. Jax replied. Here you guys go. It's the last in stock of the month. Luce replied. You are an angel. My sister will be quiet. Jax replied. Why is the box so big? Otome replied. We sell them in the complete big box. Luce replied. While we're here, I will buy some dinner for myself. Otome replied. I am kind of hungry myself. Jax replied. Why don't you eat this sandwich over here? Otome replied. Thank you, Otome. Jax replied. I can buy that for you, Otome. Jax replied. Don't worry, Jax. This card isn't just my ID, it has money on it. Jax bought the big box and the sandwich.

Oh, we have to get me home. Otome replied. You know how my older sister is? Luce asked. Yeah, true. Otome replied. Otome's last name is Date, like that jerk, Takashi. Jax thought.

Otome. Jax replied. Yes Jax? Otome replied. Are by any chance related to Takashi Date by chance? Jax asked. Yes, he is my older twin brother. Otome replied. I see. Jax replied.

As Otome got home, she rushed out and saw her angry mom and dad's face.

Hey mom and dad. Otome replied.

Otome, what are doing coming back late? Manon asked. Mom time slipped. Otome replied.

Jax gets out his car.

It is my fault; I was helping her with her chemistry homework. Jax replied. Is that true? Manon asked. Yes mom. Otome replied. I will forgive it this time. Tell us if you're doing to do this. Manon replied. Yes. Otome replied.

Takashi walks to the door.

So you are causing trouble again, Otome. Takashi replied. Shut up, you're a pain. Otome replied. Bye Jax, I hope you will not get in trouble for leaving. Otome replied. If Zia eats these, I will be fine. Jax replied. Good night, Jax. Otome replied.

She smiles.

Jax and Takashi looked at each other.

Forsythia. Takashi replied. Date. Jax replied. I heard you were bedridden. Takashi replied. I am. What about it? Jax asked. Why is my little sister with you? Takashi asked. I helped her with her chemistry homework. Jax replied.

Jax left.

As Jax got home, Otome text him.

Otome: This is me, Otome.

Jax: Hi Otome.

Otome: I am sorry for my brother. He isn't usually like this.

Jax: Your fine, Takashi and I don't like each other.

Otome: Really?

Jax: Yeah so your fine.

Jax comes inside with a box of Lucie Brownies.

Where did you find a box of these? Zia asked. In Orléans Heights. Otome lives in Orléans Heights as well. Jax replied. Oh, so killing two birds with one stone? Zia replied. Yes. Jax replied. Isn't that around your school? Zia asked. One of the four neighborhoods around the school. Jax replied. I wonder why Otome doesn't go to Arc Academy? Zia asked. That is a good question. Jax replied.
