Chapter 6

Alexander heard her scream, but stayed still on his spot. It was as if someone has clenched his heart mercilessly, he felt his breath caught in his throat. He tried to breath and stood there... Lincoln approached him worriedly, "It will affect her again." those were only words he could spoke to his Boss. Alexander stood there silently, but he didn't show anything. To Lincoln, he was like his elder brother. He long understood what Alexander felt at that time. Lincoln cleared his throat and again said, "It will affect her health." this time Alexander looked at him and spoke, "So what do you want me to do! let her stay here?" He spat. Lincoln didn't say anything. He lowered his head and stood aside. Alexander was long aware that this day was soon to arrive. His life was like an ashtray, everyone will keep their buds filled with fire on his life and people would come and go. He stood there silently staring at the dark sky outside a full length window. The one Dove loved. The curtains were plain white, favourite to Dove. He sighed a little and turned to leave the house. Lincoln motioned him to stay still and all Alexander could feel was sorrow. He lifted his beautiful lashes and exited the house without thinking anymore. He sat in his car and drove off somewhere. He silently drove the car, his heart aching badly, He didn't knew for what it was exactly sad... He had so many things, so many memories that saddened his heart. He didn't knew for what it was crying today. He drove up the mountains and to the graveyard, he pay a visit to his late mother. Who left him when he was young boy. He silently performed his prayers and gave her respects. He then sat there for hours.

Back in the Smith Villa Dove had closed herself in the dressing room and cried for hours. Aunt Martha and Harry consoled her from the other side.

"Darling, you know Mr Smith would get angry if he gets to know that his wife has cried." Aunt Martha said. Having no reply Harry couldn't help, but bang on the door.

"Dove, I am not taking you anywhere. Reply me! I am your friend, Right?" He said but to no avail.

"Dove, did you heard that he is not taking you anywhere." Aunt Martha said.

"He is lying! He, He too lied. He also lied." Dove cried.

The others got confused, the first sentence was for Harry, but "He too lied" Who?

"My Doll, Who lied to you. Mr Williams and I are not lying." Aunt Martha said.

She sobbed and sobbed and sat there missing her husband. Where was he? She had left her phone on the bed, she couldn't give him a call. She Knelt there with pale face and trembling body. She cried so much that her eyes and nose were red. She then opened a window to look if Alexander's car was home, but it wasn't there that meant he was not home. For once she thought to jump off the window and fly to her husband, but what earlier those maids said flashed through her mind and she instantly knew it would lead her to only cause trouble. At the same time the door flew open and Lincoln rushed in...

Dove flinched and looked back to meet Lincoln, Harry and Aunt Martha. Harry approached her and gave her a hug upon seeing her condition, he thought it was impossible for her to stop crying. She sobbed on his shoulder and Aunt Martha patted her back.

"Come sweetie..." She said and hugged Dove.

"Auntie.... It wasn't my fault. Why he is leaving me?" Dove sobbed on her shoulder.

"No, He isn't leaving you." Aunt Martha consoled her.

"What you said earlier..." Dove asked breaking the hug.

"I said, he wants you to stay with us because he is leaving for Italy. He has some work regarding new projects." Harry said joining Aunt Martha.

"No, I will wait for him here in his house." Dove looked in his eyes and spoke.

Harry gave her a gaze and then calmly said, "He wants you with us because you might get bored here ..."

"It's my home. I would never get bored of it, he can take me to Italy because he always does. It's just the matter of permission." She cut off Harry and spoke a little proudly.

"Now let me go and talk to him." She said and rushed out.

The three others followed her to the room and saw her dial a number. She then kept the phone to her ears but he never spoke.

Alexander left the graveyard and now was driving. The heavy feeling was now a little light. His phone rang and He saw

"Felicity Winter" on his caller id. His heart felt melting it was as if someone has left his heart clenching. After some rings, he picked it up and spoke with a soft yet cold "Hello".

"Alexander" was he heard from the line and the person sighing heavily. She spoke so softly, so purely, but her voice looked tired. It was like she had been crying.

"Are you hungry?" He said indicating the last time he had asked her if she was hungry. She had cried that day too. Dove held on to the phone and sobbed.

"They want me to stay with them,... How am I suppose t.to.to stay away?" She said not bothering from where this newly found courage fit in to her.

When she got no reply, she again said...

"If you are leaving for Italy then why aren't you taking me with you..." She said.

"You should sleep now" He said and cut the call.

Alexander reached his house and first thing he saw was his wife running to him. Her eyes were puffy, her nose red. She wrapped her arms around his neck and snuggled in his neck, he smelt of chillies.
