Magic is Real

"Ugh...."

Oliver tried to open his eyes. His body was cold and shivering. Finally, all he remembered was falling on top of Azriel's body because he was tired. His legs hurt because he ran quite a distance. He even had difficulty breathing due to exerting all his strength to run. It was a very long night for him.

"Are you okay?" asked Shiro who was suddenly next to Oliver.

"Where is this?" asked Oliver who looked around so strangely.

A house with simple furnishings, as well as some ancient items, but still looks clean and tidy.

"Ah, it's a little trouble. Maybe we'll go to the kingdom," said Shiro while scratching his head and felt a little tingling feeling in his heart. Honestly, he objected. However, that's the only way to get all the vampires together. There is no other way but to meddle in other people's affairs.

Oliver struggled to get out of bed and sit up. He felt very tired, even though he had rested for a long time.

"Are you awake, son?" asked Kasim who was at the dining table with Azriel and was making some kind of potion.

"Who?" Oliver was clearly bewildered by the stranger in front of him.

"Let me introduce, young man. My name is Kasim, and the woman sitting on the stairs is my second daughter, named Lucy. Maybe your lazy vampire can explain what's going on." The old man invited Shiro to speak.

Even though he was actually very lazy, he couldn't help but have to tell everything all over again. Oliver heard this as if he couldn't believe it, he had to get involved further. Especially with the government. Even though he is just an ordinary person, an ordinary citizen who only wants to save this world, why does his business reach the kingdom?

"Are you sure you'll help him, Shiro?" asked Oliver who was a bit doubtful about his vampire words.

"I have to help him, because my friend is in the kingdom. He became one of the vampires who helped the first child here to rule Arkansas." Shiro ate one snack like a pocky given by Lucy.

"Did it take long?" Oliver asked.

"What are you looking for?" asked Kasim while frowning.

"No. I'm just afraid that I don't have time to save the world," said Oliver, lowering his head and a little sad.

Kasim did not understand what was happening, however, he tried to comfort the child.

"You are still very young, you dedicate yourself to this world. What made you may survive this far?" Kasim asked.

"My parents ...." He looked down sadly remembering his parents.

Suddenly, Oliver's right palm emitted a blue light.

"W-what is this, Grandpa!" Shocked Azriel who was still concocting medicine.

Their eyes were fixed on Kasim who was also emitting a blue light from his right hand while saying a few words that they didn't understand.

A few drops of water came out of Oliver's hand, and headed in front of Kasim, forming two people whose faces were not clear. They also heard their voices talking. Vaguely, however, Oliver was no stranger to the voice.

His eyes formed a perfect circle when he heard the two familiar voices. No matter how weak he was, Oliver immediately got out of bed and approached the source of the sound.

"Mom, Dad!" Oliver shouted calling his parents.

"So they're your parents?" asked Kasim while pointing at the two human forms in front of him.

Kasim clearly recognized the two heroes, for some reason, Kasim became very sorry when he found out that Oliver was their son.

"What happened to my parents?" Oliver asked, pounding the table.

"Calm down, son. You don't think anything strange. This is a particle that is in your memory as well as mine." Kasim got up from his seat and let Oliver sit on the empty chair next to Azriel. Azriel also felt a little sorry for Oliver's attitude like this.

"What do you mean my parents aren't dead yet?" Oliver asked Kasim.

The old man who heard that, did not answer anything. Until he thought of giving his version of the best answer.

"That fate, no one knows, son. The loss of the two heroes, doesn't mean they're gone, however, don't expect more. It doesn't mean they're still around either." Kasim didn't want to give the boy a false hope.

"By the way, you're wizard huh?" asked the Clever vampire who had been observing the conversation between the two of them.

Lucy, who was surprised, immediately looked at Azriel and felt intimidated by the vampire's words.

"So what if we're wizard?" asked Lucy a little annoyed.

Shiro, who felt that the atmosphere was starting to become unfavorable, immediately approached Shiro, and accompanied him by his side.

"So magic is real?" asked Oliver, still half-believing.

"It's okay. I heard that all witches are also extinct, apparently they still exist," said Azriel sarcastically.

"It's not because of the sinners! We got involved in something we shouldn't have!" Lucy started to growl and got up from the stairs.

"Lucy ..." called the father who was trying to separate them.

"Why is it our fault? It's because you just neglected to help us, so that some of you died," explained Azriel who was still concocting potions.

"Oh, so you sinners want to feel self-righteous? Do you really feel that you are being exalted? You're not ashamed of being considered sinners and branded traitors?" Lucy is getting angry with Azriel's attitude.

"Alright, let's not talk about it anymore. After all, it's in the past!" Shiro tried to mediate between them all.

"He started it first! If the vampires didn't talk much, surely my brother wouldn't be incited by you guys!" cried Lucy.

Suddenly, a white light hit Lucy and Azriel, sending them both flying. Lucy fell on the bed, and Azriel fell off her chair.

Oliver who saw the origin of the light could only be amazed, even Shiro protected him from being hit by magic from the old man.

The two of them could only moan in pain, and Kasim looked silent, it seemed he was also a little angry seeing this fight.

"How long are you going to keep arguing? Have some respect for our guest, Lucy. I know there are those who are making your brother suffer out there, trying to control everything. However, you're going the wrong way. Don't you?" Kasim explained while pouring a warm drink from the powder that Azriel had ground.

"Why do you always protect them! You don't feel like you've lost your brother? You feel that what they are doing is right?" Lucy grew even more furious when her father didn't defend her.

"I'm not defending anyone. Go to the room, you just need to cool your head," Kasim asked his daughter.

"Stupid father!"

The woman came into her room and slammed the door very hard.
